all of those epic memories when you had 13 capital ships and you take on the pirates and decimate them or those last stands when your home planet was under siege you push them back and wreck them

The TEC was built off of hardships, but it shows that the willpower of a human is strong. They'll fight no matter what until the very last breath. (The soundtrack that existed in game before they released the official soundtrack was better, IMO, it didn't have as much to it, it was a bit simpler and it was a really good song that played usually towards the start of a game played as TEC, it always made me think of an expanding national power.)
This game's music was so flawless. And it really shows how top-tier Starclad is that they would actually get different tracks for both rebel and loyalist factions. Kind of thinking of picking this OST on Steam to show my support.
I really like how the track titles tell the story of Sins of a Solar Empire, starting with the Vasari exodus, followed by the exile of the Advent, and then the formation of the TEC.
It's very cool how the rebel and loyalist tracks for each faction feature the primary faction themes rearranged in novel ways. It's subtle, but you can hear it if you listen - for example, "Trade Wars" and "Strength in Separation" are both based on variations of the primary TEC theme.
One of my favorite OST's of all time, without a doubt. As an up and coming composer who loves to work with orchestral and rock orchestra formats especially, listening to this playlist always inspires me. It also helps the game is top-notch, and has received some excellent balance patches as of late. Good stuff, Ironclad and Stardock, good stuff.
Was skeptical of buying this game for 75% off (includes OST), came here to check out the OST, 5 sec into d OST. Closed TH-cam, instabuy from Steam. 10/8 would buy again.
+Loke WaiEu Personally, I bought the game for the mods. Sins has some really good Star Wars and Star Trek mods and a Mass Effect mod that looks really promising.
don't buy the game just for the mods and i love the sound of all of those mods but don't buy the game JUST for the mods play it first then play it with the mods.
i have played this game practically since it came out and it has been one of my favorite games ever since and i don't even really need or want the trinity or rebellion i just love the original although i am interested with the rebellion one i might have to get that to see what it is about
Very late reply, but as someone else who very much likes the game I would have to say that Rebellion is definitely worth the purchase if you haven't already. While the Loyalist/Rebel factions still have the same base gameplay of the unsplit faction they do have enough unique techs and ships that the strategy for each of them can be wildly different. The Vasari for example have their Loyalists focused extra on mobility to get around their opponents' defenses and can even go full scorched earth tactics, while the Rebels are actually a diplomatic faction with bonuses for fighting alongside allies but also have focuses on heavy firepower and phase missiles. So what you end up with is six factions that all play very differently, split into three general categories.
ye! stellaris is Awesome! I See it as SoaSe Placeholder. But SoaSE Has his own flavor that i love and miss :( sad we'll probably never See a SoaSE again
The DLC is called "Outlaw Sectors" and is just filled with some new features, thats all. I think it was released about 4 days ago, not sure. Well, it is giving me hope for a SoaSe 2 :3
I don't know if the titles of each song are accurate, as well as their arrangement in the soundtrack, but if they are, then the tiles and order of the original soundtrack are clearly retelling the story of the game. It starts with The Fallen Empire, likely the fall of the Vasari, and it continues with Ten Thousand Years, a reference to their ten millennia long journey. Then we get the origin of the Advent: A World in Isolation, their discovery by the traders who considered them Deviants, and their Expulsion. We continue chronologically with the Trader era of Peace and Prosperity, and the Impeding Darkness. Finally, with The Arrival, the Vasari invade. The traders fight back, but it's a Futile Challenge and they are Outclassed. The Vasari are Relentless. That is until the human rally with the Birth of the Coalition. Their Resistance stops the Vasari, and they eventually launch a Counter-attack. The TEC is becoming The Emerging Empire, and the Vasari are Desperate. Yet unbeknownst to the TEC and Vasari, the long exiled deviants are still alive and guided by The Prophesy that one day they shall return and have their vengeance. Collecting the Will of the Unity, The Expanding Empire of the Advent prepare for war. Finally, The Return indicates the entry into the conflict of the Advent. With the TEC now split among Two Fronts, this is where the first game picks up, as the intro tells the story.
Babylon 5 was explicitly stated to be one of the inspirations for the devs. You can see it with the Kol Battleship especially: it looks like an Earth ship from Babylon 5.
As the TEC fleet approached the last Vasari world, their last-attempt fleet warped into the area. Their last capital ships gave it their last shot, throwing everything at my last invasion fleet. The battle raged on, as corvettes bombed capital ships and frigates exploded left and right. When the last Vasari capital ship fell, the battle was swiftly won, reducing the rest of the fleet to rubble, bombing the world into oblivion, and ending a long and hard-fought war. One of the best soundtracks for any game I've ever heard.
+heviarey Strike craft spam works better, just focus on the supporting fleet first. As Vasari you can use the corvettes that debuff shield/hull regeneration, and with rebel TEC, well, the ragnarok already outdamages everything, just use a couple of dreadnaughts to missile spam the shit out of the supporting fleet, use one of the two long range AoE abilities of the ragnarok and you will be fighting a lone eradica. Just focus everything and try to deal the finishing blow with strike craft while you get your ships out of that planet.
Ramedlev s The TEC Loyalists. But i think it is because i have addons: Forgotten Worlds and Stellar Phenomena. And this additional music from this addons.
The first track was called 'Opening Theme', I've also added a track list to the description. I'll add their times when I have time to go through the video.
I always thought the only thing missing in this game was a speed-up button. Otherwise this was a completely and devestatingly awesome game, with cool ideas, awesome graphics and overall just an epic feel to it. It was just kinda slow at times.
