    This is the exact video I needed to see. Love your playing and appreciate the diverse showing of styles. This sold me on putting a Fralin P-92 in the neck of my Sheraton. Just deciding whether to put another in the bridge, or a humbucker instead like a ‘57 classic.
    Thanks for the great vid!

    I bought a Revstar Element and I'm pretty happy with the bridge. Neck is okay. Really prefer more of a P90 tone hence my rabbit hole to here. Now you have me thinking I need these both, your bridge crunch sounded amazing. Expensive af though. Reverb has the black set I need for only $320. Man, the money never ends (just bought a Duesenberg Starplayer phonic too)

    Question, if you have time, i have a semi hollow (cheapish 335 style) 12 string that is actually a dream to play, so do you think these p92's would work? Looking for everything from Over The Hills, to a little blues boogie. Or what would you suggest? The tone you get here is just marvellous! Kinda thinking on a 12 these would be awesome.

    Ever play gibson dog eared p90s? How would you compare these to those?
    I feel like these are brighter than Gibson’s . I forget if these have alnico 4’s. Gibson’s have 5’s so they probably have a warmer midrange now that I think of it . If these are
    4 it makes sense they would seem to have more presence across the range but would lack that scooped character

    • @philby8
      @philby8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, nope I don't remember ever playing those but I would bet that they are a bit darker yes (P92 are pretty bright)

    Hey a 2 questions: what are the original pick ups on this guitar and are u using the original string or you replace them with what? Thanks love the crisp sound.

    • @philby8
      @philby8  ปีที่แล้ว

      the original pickups where stock epiphone ones, the strings here are 10-46, don't know what brand was on at the time

    • @djobidjoba6143
      @djobidjoba6143 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man, I have the same guitar but the strings feel very thick and hard to slide so I was wondering about that, as far as the sound still sound very good for what I can do with it but not as good as those pick up you have on. Again p92s sound more crisp and less high pitch I'll be looking into maybe switch to them eventually. Thanks again for your response 👍
