It's actually refreshing for this game to be a prequel, as it actually manages to tie the films together more cohesively and it also introduces Shockwave, so he just doesn't appear out of nowhere like in Dotm.

He was shooted in the right half of his face and after his lose in egypt he needed new weapons. I never understand when soundwave (maybe) give megatron a new arm, why not a better body.
Honestly they should have just stuck with the G1 models like the ones from FOC and WFC... Don’t get me wrong this game was fun, but the models were offsetting and the story didn’t have that good transformers sort of feel to it. FOC was the best in the series I feel... Anyone else?
This game is in the same canon as the Bayverse, so no having G1 models would not only not make sense, it would break the canon even more. The Cybertron duology is in the Aligned continuity anyway, so that would make no sense it G1 based designs suddenly appeared ij the more realistic Bayverse of films.
