I hear that. This was my first IM album too, and I used to listen to it while working. Dracul was always my favourite. Later, I started listening to IM while juggling - it's just perfect music for that.

First CD that I bought of Infected Mushroom. Listened to this album countless times and it always takes me away to a special place.

It's very interesting to listen to this one many years later and see the styles and types of writing they still use, but in earlier forms. It's almost feels like hashing through some old photos from youth lol.

Agreed! The other thing is, 23 years ago there were like maybe (I just throw in a number) 200 (?) serious producers, and maybe 20-30 of them became big and famous.
Today everyone with a little laptop and Internet can at least get a vast amount of software in high quality, and there are literally x thousands of them doing anything in their DAW. They used so much hardware at that times, today it's the whole opposite mostly.

@@TheMadVector it's not really about the hardware and such, more about musicality, experimentation and daring to create something unique, as opposed to using the same sounds and motifs as everyone else. The thing that makes IM stand out is that they clearly have very solid grasp of music theory, and they also make music to have fun and to experiment, that's why you can immediately recognize if you hear something from them.

Sailing in the sea of mushroom and mushi mushi have really grown one me. Though to be honest I find it impossible to listen to the tracks alone. I always have to hear the album start to finish. One of a kind

@@glyn5385 I started listening at Army of Mushrooms and my favorites were between Vicious Delicious and Converting Vegetarians but even I agree their newer stuff doesn't even feel like its in the same genre at all, its moved to some other jump-up style stuff. But even I can still love this album

This is the 2nd to last infected mushroom album i listened to (next was the gathering) ig i kinda went back in time from being introduced into the genre by this amazing band, the music just gets better and better and never gets old. Truly a masterpiece of an album

Return to the source and the Supervisor are very good though also, good music didn't end in 2000 ad, I haven't been to a rave since 2003 I am 60 now yet still crank psy on my headphones on my daily commute.
listening to this after "return to the sauce" is so neat, you can hear how they developed existing styles and really pushed their sound design and engineering to new heights. much love from the Sunshine State I.F, bless your souls!
I still remember the first time I heard that outro in the Missed Sympthony...damn. It's still a jarring ending to the album and evokes some pretty strange emotions, at least in me.

I think the whole album is slightly underrated. It's a great LP and all the songs are good.
There is not a single filler song on the whole album, either. Every song is good imho.

I couldn't stand this the first time I heard it. Coming off of Vicious Delicious and Black Shawarma, this was completely boring to me and Bust a Move was the only track I even slightly enjoyed. Now, years later, I've given it another chance and realized I've been missing out! This is actually 🔥 🔥 🔥
This was my intro to them, and good god was it mind boggling...by the way the title actually has meaning. I met them at their concert and got to ask duvdev if this was written like a classical score and yes the album is written like classic music :D

this album does something to me, i cant explain it.... its truely the best piece of psychedlic music ive ever heard.... every melody is astounding, the way they tease and twist is so radical. even today this album hasnt been beaten.......... not even by themselves.......

Have always thought of music like this as modern classical, weird how so many just think it is not "real music" but just weird/ annoying noise for drug addicts. Fuck them all anyway look at the mess they have made of this world, so many sad and angry people chasing the golden carrot, who care about ego and things more than people, this music should be compulsory along with a one time session with MDMA and mushrooms in a safe environment for every adult on the planet.

This is my personal favorite psytrance album along with their first release The Gathering. It's so sad that over the years they slowly drifted away from their roots and started to 'diversify'. You can tell how talented they are even by listening to their latest releases. Through all the noise and flashy sound effects their grip on melodies haven't lost one bit. But they chose to be just another one of the electronic music producers on the block instead of truly revolutionize the PsyTrance genre. A true shame. I don't blame them but if they had stayed the whole PsyTrance scene would have been so much different.
