What's a more iconic Sims family than the Goths?! They've been around since day one, and it's time that they get the gothic-style home of their dreams. This home comes with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full office, and it's all set in the super spooky world of Forgotten Hollow, which came with the Vampires Game Pack. The build is also packed with beautiful Maxis Match custom content from creators like Felix Andre, Harrie, Sixam, and more!

I LOVE SEEING CC IN BUILDS!!! yes it's great seeing creators use the packs and what the game has to offer but most times CC is the only way to find stuff that will really bring your vision to life on the build you want. USE ALL THE CC GIRLYPOP!!!❤❤❤

oh wow, that shoutout really surprised me lol. :) glad you liked my comment and took the advice cause this turned out so fabulous, and the cc really just elevates these types of builds so much. I can't speak for everyone, but I think you might agree, I just really like watching the build videos (of various creators) here on yt and seeing the creative process. I'm not entirely concerned with actually downloading them, bc I do build a lot myself and don't play as much anymore. so I just love seeing the builds come together and that's the reason why I prefer cc builds, bc they have so much to show and offer. imo, these mods and cc creators are the backbone of the sims creative community and their work should be showcased. anyway, I love that you've incorporated a significant amount of white in the expected Goths red and black color scheme. their home belongs in Forgotten Hollow, which I agree is an underrated world and should've def had more lots. great build, thanks for sharing!

Intelligent Fly - The intro/outro is nice; sweet music, and the interior of the house looks very inviting. Actually, where did the fireplace (00:17) come from, is that from the vampires pack, or is it cc.
(03:08) ‘Custom content is just so special.’
- There’s some great custom content out there.
(04:33) ‘I love the way the exterior came out.’ I used a lot of the Gothic collection from Felix, then there’s one window in the upper tower, I can’t remember - that is from Sixam’s collection.’
- We were just going to suggest that one (it’s called ‘Love for Gothic Windows and Doors.’) Fun for a builder.
(24:04) ‘The bedding is from Sixam.’
- For anyone who likes the look of the bed and wants it for their game, it’s from Sixam’s ‘Wednesday’s Goth Bedroom’ pack. Comes with fireplace, chairs, portraits, etc.

Unless I missed something, it would have been simpler to put the CC folder in the house's download folder. A 'tray' folder and a 'CC' folder rather than having to download AAAAALL the CCs one by one. The mansion is sublime, though. Thanks for this build.
Yes, I agree that it's way easier, but for some reason it's frowned upon by the CC creators to do that. I don't know...I'm starting to consider just doing that to make it easier for me and anyone who wants to download, unless I'm using a collection that's in early access.

Even if you keep listing all the cc's creators in the description ? that's so sad cause i dowloaded everything in the description it took me a really long time but when i downloaded your creation it wasnt complete for some reason. I suppose that there is so many cc that i missed some of them + some cc dont work in my game = a beautiful creation you did that i can't use. =( I still think that you did a great job though, and it was pleasant to watch. @@intelligentfly yes sure, me too, i think cc's are nice but it's difficult too get a creation full of it. But yes i love the creation, i juste build it myself in the game following what you did and replacing all the items by similar stuffs that i have. Was longer but satisfiying too. thank you for your work.

Although I don't use a lot of CC at all (cries in 500 GB SSD), I've got to agree, it does make builds look positively gorgeous. Unfortunately, I don't see much Gothic architecture around where I live. It's mostly Renaissance, Baroque and Secession. But, from what little experience I do have with it, the detailing on your mansion here really does look like something you'd see on a grand mediaeval cathedral. The lichens and vines you added there in the end were just the touch this exterior needed to feel that much more authentic, I love it. Your landscaping is also gorgeous, although I imagine working that garden would be a pain x"D
I love your attention to detail when you're furnishing the interiors as well. Mine never feel quite so alive and lived _in._ Then again, compared to you, I am quite the shoddy builder lol! In any case, though my memory of the Goths' lore is very rusty, I can tell you've done them the justice they deserve but never quite seem to get from official channels, so to speak. Personally, I loved the kitchen most.
I like the idea of a modern build next. I'm just worried I won't even know the difference between the styles you use since modern design is far outside of my personal comfort zone x"D
As a suggestion (for when you do come back to a more historic style), might I ask that you take a look at some close-to-home landmarks that I absolutely adore for inspiration? Those would be: Rydzyna Castle, Osieczna Castle, Kórnik Castle (specifically pre-refurbishment, there's a beautiful lithograph on Polish Wikipedia), as well as the University of Poznań's _Collegium Maius,_ _Collegium Minus_ and _Collegium Iuridicum._ I know it's a little presumptuous of me to put this forth after being so silent for the longest while and you absolutely do not need to actually make anything inspired by those buildings. I do, however, adore them and would be over the moon if you did!

@@intelligentfly That is correct, I come from the wonderous Land of Po. Here, the weather's harsh, the people wasted, and the elections heated. The prices are also steep unless you come from a country that uses literally any other currency, so come visit if you like the sound of that! Lol
I wouldn't say I'm well-versed in architecture, I'm no art historian that's for suee, but I do dabble in the styles I see often. In fact, it might be high time to read up on post-1920s landmark architecture; the University I've just started last October had moved most of its faculties into all-new, modernist campuses so that's what I'll be seeing for the foreseeable future. I myself now live in a '70s post-Communist affordable housing tower.
What sort of architecture do you often see around you?
@@pl-AthEE_Three I’m actually extremely excited to visit Poland. My family on my mom’s side immigrated from a small town near Warsaw to Detroit back in the 1800’s. I still make Polish food my great grandmother taught me to make every Christmas! So yes, I’m dying to visit!
I love architecture. I really want to start dedicating more time to really learning about it. Especially European architecture, since I’m moving there next year.
I do know American architecture fairly well. But still no expert lol 😂 near me in Michigan we have lots of Victorian and craftsman style homes. Beautiful, but kind of boring after a while lol 😂

You was mentioning machinama stories I think you might like one I watch it Goodchills she does some fantastic stories sometimes just leaves your mouth hanging open lol and there’s one really good builder and machinama TH-cam channel that I adore she’s a fantastic person her name is Schnuck01 she only does no cc but she has a story at the end of every build she makes. Keep doing what you’re passionate about cc and no cc ❤❤❤. I love watching your channel.

I’d rather see CC in builds but then they’re unique. The non cc ones I’ve sort of seen all the stuff, well, at least for the builders who kind of use all the same stuff in every build. Anyway, I love CC builds.

I have a lot! Like 50gb 😬 I agree, it’s fun to use and for me fun to download. But getting it all organized and whatnot is a pain. Don’t even get me started on mods. That’s a whole other beast 😂
