Downey is just one helluva guy. In every one of these group interviews with fellow nominees, he always makes a point to go in some sort of depth and high compliments about the other actors' films and performances. And it's done with what at least sounds like very genuine feelings.
RDJ, it is counter-intuitive to you because your BRILLIANCE IS NATURAL, GIANT AND AUTHENTIC. For you to be quiet, small and do less is like trying to block the sun on a field with an umbrella. But you DID. Your character in Oppenheimer came to us, the audience, completely in grey shade...of being. I mean, holy shit. SO GLAD you won the Oscar.
4:20 When Willem says “he’s a scientist and I have that in my background” you can see in his face he’s trying so hard not to say the meme from Spider-Man lol
This is how you know Willem is a legendary master at his craft. He literally just talks about being focused in the moment and how his approach isn't Hollywood, and that's whyhe'ss the most consistent working actor we have right now. Its a shame that Robert Downey Jr. Is gonna win an Oscar before DaFoe. The man (Willem) should have like 3 atthis point in his career.
Yeah this moderator is really good! He manages to give the actors enough space to let the conversation flow, doesn't interrupt unnecessarily, but you can tell that he's done his research and is well prepared. It feels very organic and allows all three actors to shine.
Back in the day when RDJ was being a bad boy, in jail, etc., I was stuck in a Southwest Airlines terminal on Christmas Eve. The crew called in sick for that particular flight so we were delayed a few hours. A woman sitting next to me started to talk about RDJ, saying she was praying for him. I listened politely, thinking she was just extremely religious. She revealed she was a psychic and she 'predicted' that when he came back to his senses he would be 'huge' and his career would surpass any expectation. I was like, honey they just found him in someone's house passed out! She shook her head, no. She said he's going to be an even bigger star and he's going to turn his life around. Well, she showed me!
Bobby Peru in Wild At Heart is so creepy perverted that he's unforgettable. Robert Downey Jr, was perfect as an Junkie in Breight Lights, Big City, but then he just went through it and conquered it all. What an good conversation.
New here and I love Iron Robert Man and as for watching a lil bit of this I can relate. Sadly, well from a workplace I can relate I'm just very surprised how stuff can work out even if some parts of aspects in life is still fragmented. Also and anyways, it would be cool to work with working field/robert perhaps a fun store with an integration of music cds, fashion clothes/graphic design and many more happy stuff while doing things the right way but being creative along with more entrepreneurs for help
three absolute greats… rdj man, what a mensch!!! i dont really agree with him taking all the awards this year, but at least its going to a truly decent dude
Yeah. Why does not Willem Dafoe ever play the joker. I mean he IS the joker inside and outside. Probably that character was originally modeled after him.
Sterling's kid sneaking in was hilarious. Great conversation!

The Boxing movie with Dafoe was Triumph of the Spirit.
LMAO! Sterling is gonna give his kid a stern talking to after this. Sigh, to be young. I miss it. :P
Thank you! Congratulations to all🎉
the moment Willem Dafoe stops acting will be a sad day for all.
Jodie Foster once said that to be a great actor you have to be able to talk very quiet and think very loud. (And since she is a genius, I love this.)
Nice!
