But I wouldn't sound the alarm. Check and see if a different QB gets more reps, or if the play calling changes.

Purdy got the same problem in camp last year. Mahomes got the same problem at camp during his first year as a starter. Its just practice, Purdy we'll be fine because we've seen it during the 2 regular seasons that he played.
The argument for Purdy being good is simple. Has he put up numbers that put him on a hall of fame trajectory if he continued this? He has, so he's, at minimum, a solid quarterback. You can argue over how good he is, which is totally fair, but no bad/mediocre quarterback has ever had both the stats and playoff success that Purdy currently has.
Here are some questions about Training Camp INT's in general: - Are the players catching (and dropping) these practice INTs teammates of the QB? - Do these defensive teammates spend a lot of time around him and know a lot of his tendencies? - Do these defensive teammates have a more intimate knowledge of the offense than anyone else? - Are these defensive players trying to prepare themselves for the season the same way that the QB is? - Are these defensive players ALSO trying to impress the coaching staff? If the answer to ANY of these questions is "YES" (and I believe that is the case for all of them), then training camp INTs hold little if any relevance.
What is crazy about nick is he is the MOST objective guy unless we talk about lebron, pat mahomes, brock purdy, and trevor lawrence. Pretty much every other topic he is pretty good at analyzing
Brock Purdy threw 10 interceptions in the first week of 2023 training camp. And Nick Wright said the same thing he is saying this year. Also Brock Purdy has the worst offensive line of any of the top 14 quarterbacks. And it may get worse if Trent Williams doesn't play. He also has probably the worst group of receivers of any of the top 12 quarterbacks if Brandon Aiyuk doesn't play. But Nick Wright will put all that at Purdy's doorstep because he wants to look correct. Even in practice Purdy is running for his life. A few of those pics in practice would actually have been sacks if you could touch the QB. But never let facts get in the way of demoting Purdy. And he didn't just color in the lines last year. He brought them back a half dozen times in the last drive (including a loss to Cleveland when they missed the FG). He led two come from behind playoff wins and left the field with the lead in the Super Bowl.
Its interesting how people can say Nick is hating but Coach's take is perfect when all the difference between the two takes is literally if it becomes a constant issue or not.

Purdy got the same problem in camp last year. Mahomes got the same problem at camp during his first year as a starter. Its just practice, Purdy we'll be fine because we've seen it during the 2 regular seasons that he played.
Nick doesn’t watch football and seeks out bad Purdy takes.
The argument for Purdy being good is simple. Has he put up numbers that put him on a hall of fame trajectory if he continued this? He has, so he's, at minimum, a solid quarterback. You can argue over how good he is, which is totally fair, but no bad/mediocre quarterback has ever had both the stats and playoff success that Purdy currently has.

Here are some questions about Training Camp INT's in general:
- Are the players catching (and dropping) these practice INTs teammates of the QB?
- Do these defensive teammates spend a lot of time around him and know a lot of his tendencies?
- Do these defensive teammates have a more intimate knowledge of the offense than anyone else?
- Are these defensive players trying to prepare themselves for the season the same way that the QB is?
- Are these defensive players ALSO trying to impress the coaching staff?
If the answer to ANY of these questions is "YES" (and I believe that is the case for all of them), then training camp INTs hold little if any relevance.

Brock Purdy threw 10 interceptions in the first week of 2023 training camp. And Nick Wright said the same thing he is saying this year. Also Brock Purdy has the worst offensive line of any of the top 14 quarterbacks. And it may get worse if Trent Williams doesn't play. He also has probably the worst group of receivers of any of the top 12 quarterbacks if Brandon Aiyuk doesn't play. But Nick Wright will put all that at Purdy's doorstep because he wants to look correct. Even in practice Purdy is running for his life. A few of those pics in practice would actually have been sacks if you could touch the QB. But never let facts get in the way of demoting Purdy. And he didn't just color in the lines last year. He brought them back a half dozen times in the last drive (including a loss to Cleveland when they missed the FG). He led two come from behind playoff wins and left the field with the lead in the Super Bowl.

Did Nick have a problem with Mahomes famously throwing 7 Ints in a single practice in his first year as a starter, the year that he won MVP and threw for 5000 yards and 50 TDs? Im a Chiefs and KU fan so needless to say Im no fan of Purdy going back to when he took over at Iowa State back in the mid 90s but come on "Practice?! We're talking about practice? Not a game, not a game, practice?!"
