- The NIS 2 directive establishes a regulatory framework aimed at improving the level of cybersecurity across the EU. NIS 2 introduces obligations on in-scope businesses to implement minimum cybersecurity measures, which is coupled with specific responsibilities and liability for senior management of the relevant businesses that are subject to these obligations. NIS 2 will apply to a large number of businesses operating in the EU, many of which have had no prior direct exposure to specific cybersecurity legislation (including businesses operating in market sectors such as digital infrastructure, digital services, ICT service management, manufacturing, health, energy, transport, banking, and financial services).
The deadline for Member States to implement the NIS 2 directive in domestic law is fast approaching and many have yet to do so. This is creating challenges for organizations in the process of assessing the extent of their exposure, and those implementing and uplifting current compliance frameworks.
This webinar explores the key issues for organizations grappling with NIS 2 compliance ahead of the October 2024 Member State transposition deadline.
