sequence is the generic term for an ordered set like list tuple string. Iterables: anything that can be looped over or anything that can appear on the right-side of a for-loop: example list tuple dictionary string etc. Yes you can use map() on iterables:)

Hi, is there any use of the filter object or map object...since in python 3 compared to 2 versions, by default it returns map or filter object rather than directly lists or tuples...and since 3 is the improvement of 2, I just got some intuition that there might be some use in getting the objects first... Can you clarify why it is required

Instead of using filter ...its better to use list comprhension know mam .....then why we are using filter nd lambda
I am just explaining about these function here, you can use list comprehension but you should know about these functions also :}
