Loved this, I'm so envious of the crowd that night. There's nothing quite like the atmosphere of an intimate venue when you have the audience on your side and they're following your music where you lead them. Your lyrics are always poignant little vignettes of human experience; teasing big emotions out of what are often small, fleeting moments. Just lovely.

The industry is resisting it but there appears to be a trend currently emerging of well established, mainstream artist even moving away from big record labels and back to being independent. Raye, Ed Sheeran and Paramore have all very recently done just this.

But I admire mother nature for her embrace of risk-taking: try out some biological configurations and see what works in the future environment. Seems to me that's more conducive to growth and evolution than the risk-averse world we seem to find ourselves in nowadays, where to be considered valid an idea must be proven viable before it's even been tried.
