@@hkkkbguhvatila4297 SAV is just marketing gobblydygood. Or is there a car on the market that is not used for "activities"?
Thank you so much to you and the whole BMW design team including Mr. Bangle.. Your creation keeps me happy every morning I look at it for 3 years already! I still remember the day when I first saw a silver E53 in a motor-journal, that sense of beauty, the exquisiteness, the panache and of course the flamboyance that vehicles have carried with them kept me dreaming of having it acquired one day and I did it..)))
Great video! Amazing and awesome to see you at work, thanks for sharing this. The design of that car really was something special, it was a total game changer that helped usher in a new look of modern design into the SUV/car market, and it has aged far better than many, if not all, of it's contemporaries.
Being a big fan of that era of BMW design, I'm curious, was the E53 X5 design based at all on the E39 Touring, or vise versa?
Have 220k miles on my '03 4.4 sport package. No intentions of letting it go. It is a home run IMHO.
Bravo good sir. 👏
Cheers James! 👍
Videos are getting better and better. Thanks for posting another video. Is the Maserati next?
Yes, soon
I have a 4.6is for a long time as a.daily driver . Every time I park along other cars it stands out. Love it . Thank you .
Cheers Two!
This and the Range Rover are quite literally the only SUV’s that I can get along with.
Audi Q5?
Suabru Forester
Volvo xc90 looks really good too for me
Surely the mighty Land Cruisers as well?

I was 12 when my dad picked up the 4.6is. Truly a beast and one of my all time favorites. Thank you for your talent, it’s unfortunate at 29 I’ve lost my fire for bmws but I will never forget the myriad of e46/e39s I got to drive in my teens. Bmw at their peak.
3:15 I don't know about Hofmeister's Kinks, but it's definitely supposed to mean 'Hofmeister Knick' :-)
A kink is the same as a knick. They mean the same thing.
A kink is a bend and a knick... is also a bend - he just said it in english instead of german.
This is the coolest thing!! Thank you for sharing. There are so many cool stories around car design but we rarely get to hear them
