Ultra-runners will take on some of the greatest trails in Scotland along the glorious Southern Upland Way. Starting at St John's Town of Dalry, home of the Covenanter's Burning Bush; the remarkable forests and valleys and the majestic mountains of Southern Scotland await. The race takes in the Striding Arches of Benbrake, the Covenant's memorial at Allan's Cairn, the town of Sanquhar, and the highest village in Scotland, Wanlockhead, surrounded by its wonderful scenery with the ascent of Lowther Hill (701m), amongst many other amazing sights.
The 100 mile continues taking in Daer Reservoir, Moffat, Craigmichen Scar, St Mary's Loch, Minch Moor and the Three Brethren.
A truly memorable race with amazing GB Ultras support and Live Online Tracking via GB Race Tracker. The trail is way-marked as one of Scotland’s Great Trails attaining UTMB and ITRA points with 4611m of ascent on the 106 mile race.
