New 30th Street L & T station is gorgeous! Hopefully it's a playbook for future station upgrades. Also couple that with SEPTA getting the grant for new L cars, I'm excited for the future of the system
@@teambandicoottransit0824 but it will be weird to see the new LRV’s with pantographs. if that’s the case I hope they somehow retrofit these cars with a pan for fan trips
Based on a roadmap I saw, the plan is to get the signage in all center city stations first, then focus on the B Lines (Broad Street Line and Broad-Ridge Spur), then focus on the L Lines and T Lines (Market-Frankford Line, 10, 11, 13, 34, 36) for most of this to be done by the end of 2024. Considering how easy it will be to make destination sign changes on the Kawasaki Trolleys, ABB N5s, and ADTranz M4s, I'm POSITIVE that those will also be part of the changes. Not sure about how they will go about the B-IV signs though. They'd have to retrofit them with new signs and also a new signaling system.
I saw on a news report that the state of Pennsylvania gave SEPTA millions of dollars in grant money and SEPTA plans to spend it on new trains for the soon to be L line. Any updates on that underground passageway from the subway to the main station yet?
When they first introduced the plans, they marketed the T as for tunnel but later on they changed it to be T for trolley. I had already made the graphics before they changed the marketing. Honestly, it makes more sense to differentiate them using T for Tunnel, since these lines operate in the tunnel and that's what gives them the T. The G and D lines are also trolleys, so it would just raise confusion "why is the T lines trolleys and the G and D lines not also T lines?"
I a great news dash channel in 2027 the Kawasaki LRV 100 series and 9000 series double single engine and PCC will be replaced by alstom LRV so the Alstom LRV will need to test to how they run.
*Sigh* I will still call them by their numbers and real names. Their new ones is just awful. T1? Just call it the 10 for gods sake. L1? What’s next L2 as that could be used for express. Like stop trying septa. Please you’re making it worse for people to understand their lines. I’m very very very!! Disappointed in this new change septa.

Nice video
Another terrific video report.
Was wondering, where there any Drexel students using the lines at that time? Didn't appear as if there were any.
Hey Dash, are they eventually going to change the destination signs on the trolleys?
I had a feeling that they could replace the Kawasaki Car with a light rail if they going to Change the Brand to SEPTA Metro

T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5, I don't like these Septa changes at all. Leave our CITY ALONE
@@DashTransit well it's definitely gonna confuse the hell out of everybody

Tunnel Lines??
*T is for Trolley.

You don't have to remind DashTransit of SEPTA. He visits it very often?
