Girl it takes time to adjust to the camping life. When I left my ex husband I bought a camper. First winter we had an ice storm and my door froze shut. I ran out of gas for hot water, if you only have gas for hot water they sell adapters where you can convert to either gas or electric or both. That saved me lots of money. I also locked myself out. Girl it was great in so many ways but also helped me realize I can do a lot more than I gave myself credit for. You got this.

It finally cooled down a lot yesterday and today The Egg Sandwich you made Winston, brings so many memories back of making my youngest son egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast, he is now married Cherish these days with Winston. I call it “survival mode “. Try not to stress yourself about it. It happens… I was in survival mode a few months ago, but you’ll get through it. Now I can look back and giggle on how stressed I made myself.

I understand with life throwing you multiple curveballs. The week before Father's Day weekend was my emotional rollercoaster. We said goodbye to our furbaby whom was 18 years old, I got okay news about the tumor on my temperol lobe, and then I ended up in the hospital for the weekend with a severe UTI and Crohn's flare-up.
Glad you found Max! Brought me back to the days of our pup Nicky bolting anytime a door opened, ( he was an inherited dog from my in laws when they passed). I once had to hurdle neighbors shrubs in my slippers and it was muddy. I had him cornered went to make a move to grab collar and he took off. I landed face first in mud!!!😂😂😂. Life is meant to be an adventure, buckle up and enjoy the ride! You can handle anything . Remember it's summer time and when life throws you a mess, make yourself a nice cuppa tea kick back and sip....ahhhh!❤

I was sitting here eating a sandwich as you talk about it being too hot to eat. It's been super-hot in NC too, so we are eating sandwiches for the same reason. I had a whole list of things to do this summer especially around my house while I was on summer break. Less than half of it has gotten done. You are doing fantastic. Summer is always horrible for us it seems that everything breaks as soon as I get the last paycheck for this school year.

The wrappers you bought I use to make chicken pot stickers out of and am going to use them to make ravioli out of them too. If you have a chicken that you have cooked and deboned, place the carcass in the crockpot and make your broth out of it, then after separating the broth from bones, pick through the vegetables and bones( whatever you use to season the broth)… use micro pieces of chicken and set aside. Then make a mixture of soy sauce, diced green onions, water, honey and ginger. Keep some for dipping and use little bit to marinate cooked chicken in for around 30 minutes. Drain chicken and place about one teaspoon in center of a wrapper, then wet edges to form the potstickers. You can either freeze them at this point for later or shallow fry in a skillet, then drain on paper towels. Then put back into skillet along with a little bit of water to cover and steam. Serve hot with reserved dipping sauce. I also save potato jackets to make potato skins. Once a month we have appetizer dinner or lunch.. Just a bunch of appetizers to make a meal: you can add spinach dip into the mix for a veg. You can even throw in some chicken wings or chicken nuggets and fries for fun. If you have chicken leftover from wings use meat from deboning to make a bbq chicken pizza next meal.

Moving is never easy in itself and when you add a completely new way of living and being away from your partner that has to work away from home that’s a recipe to be overwhelmed. Girl I know the struggle. Especially with the AC. I've been without AC in my car for a year now. It's in the shop again right now getting a second opinion because the first people said they couldn't fix it. 😭 We made some repairs on the truck so I could drive it with AC and then I drove it for like a week and it broke down again. It is always something. Just want you to know you're not alone. I'm saying a prayer for you!
In south Alabama yesterday, the high was 100 with a heat index of 110. At 7 PM, it was still 96. 🥵 but honestly, this Alabama girl would much rather that than snow and ice in winters. Lol. I couldn’t take your winters. And you do whatever you need to for yourself and your family-that is most important. Your TH-cam family will be here and praying for you. Also, enjoy every minute with Winston! He will not remember if the RV was sparkling clean but he WILL remember all the good times you have together in this adventure. I promise.
It's very overwhelming to move from a house to an rv but I'll say for me it's easier in the rv in the winter. Warm and cozy. Hopefully things will calm down and you can get settled in. Cry if you need to, I find it cleanses my soul and gives me peace afterward.
Life is lifing.... I need that on a T-shirt 😂. I understand not wanting to go anywhere without AC in the vehicle. We finally got out of a horrible heat wave & another one is about to start. I know it's summer & I expect it to get hot. It's the yucky humidity that makes it hard to breathe that bothers me. Glad you were able to find Max, get back in the RV after locking yourself out & get the car AC fixed. Great haul & glad everything fit where you needed it to. I may have to try avocado oil to see if we like it. Film when you're able & upload when you have time. Give yourself some grace & just breathe.

Our car hasn't had a/c for 2 years, and our central air isn't working...it's been 102, 90% humidity in ks😢but we learn to adapt( im 63 but keeping our dogs cool is my priority) luckily I bought portable units last year❤cmon fall🥵

The heat will wear you out! Issue with your livelihood surely takes precedent to the videos. Honestly I was feeling guilty I hadn't had time to watch, so let's ALL take a breath and do what we can when we can. If I could add one tiny piece of advice, pick one (1) thing to change. Make easier for yourself. Whether it is always wash the dishes as you use them, or cook ahead a few things and reheat a few meals as you go. Cooked brats two days in a row won't hurt a soul. Something like that anyway. Just one thing that helps uncluttered your chaos. You do a great job, the RV looks great. Keep your chin up and we love you guys so don't fret. ❤
Hey from Ohio. I get the hit deal it has been miserable, cooler today but supposed to get hot again. I could do sandwiches in heat but husband has to have a reg meal as he says so my crockpot been getting a workout & I have been using it for heating leftovers. I use a cooking bag, level food in it & put in plastic container then when I am going to heat it up, I just put bag of food back in crockpot to heat. Been workinout great, just getting used to heating times. You sound frazzled, you need to give yourself some grace. You totally upended your life & I get why but it's a lot of work & adjustments to make. Good Lord that tiny freezer compared to what you had, huge change right there. Trying to find places for everything etc so it will take some time , think you are doing great. Hang in there!❤

It may not feel like it, but once the cry is over, it's like putting all the bad stuff behind you for a bit. And you had an awesome pantry set up at other house, what did you decide to do with the pantry storage? Just Courious because we are thinking of downsizing too.
It sounds like the vacation/novelty feel has worn off and the overwhelming stage has set in. I’m guessing you are somewhat questioning this decision and wondering how this will work but I don’t think this stage will last long and you’ll get into a rhythm just like with any major change. Keep focussing on your self care and if you don’t already try journaling to work through those feelings. Hang in there
Just to save more freezer space, I always take out any items that are in boxes, like waffles, hot pockets, etc. every little bit helps when space is limited 😊

I’ve been out of work for over a year for health reasons so money is a big issue. Living in a metal box (RV) is going to be much hotter. Like an oven with a metal roof and sun beating on it. AC gives me a headache for some reason and chills. If it's not too hot, I just use a fan for air movement. Hope ya'll get some relief soon!
@SouthernWifeEverydayLife Yes, I understand. It just takes a lot more resources to cool a metal box than a wooden one. I was just saying that AC really bothers me. It makes me a little sick. I live in an upstairs apt which gets stifling hot. So, sometimes I have no choice on some days.

I use egg roll wrappers for mine! You just need a can of whole green chilies and cheese. Put one chili in the egg roll wrapper, a church of cheese and roll it up. Roll it in brown sugar (I know it sounds weird but it’s amazing!) and fry it up! So good and so easy!

Girl I know the struggle. Especially with the AC. I've been without AC in my car for a year now. It's in the shop again right now getting a second opinion because the first people said they couldn't fix it. 😭 We made some repairs on the truck so I could drive it with AC and then I drove it for like a week and it broke down again. It is always something. Just want you to know you're not alone. I'm saying a prayer for you!

In south Alabama yesterday, the high was 100 with a heat index of 110. At 7 PM, it was still 96. 🥵 but honestly, this Alabama girl would much rather that than snow and ice in winters. Lol. I couldn’t take your winters.
And you do whatever you need to for yourself and your family-that is most important. Your TH-cam family will be here and praying for you.
Also, enjoy every minute with Winston! He will not remember if the RV was sparkling clean but he WILL remember all the good times you have together in this adventure. I promise.
It's very overwhelming to move from a house to an rv but I'll say for me it's easier in the rv in the winter. Warm and cozy. Hopefully things will calm down and you can get settled in. Cry if you need to, I find it cleanses my soul and gives me peace afterward.

Life is lifing.... I need that on a T-shirt 😂. I understand not wanting to go anywhere without AC in the vehicle. We finally got out of a horrible heat wave & another one is about to start. I know it's summer & I expect it to get hot. It's the yucky humidity that makes it hard to breathe that bothers me. Glad you were able to find Max, get back in the RV after locking yourself out & get the car AC fixed. Great haul & glad everything fit where you needed it to. I may have to try avocado oil to see if we like it. Film when you're able & upload when you have time. Give yourself some grace & just breathe.

Our car hasn't had a/c for 2 years, and our central air isn't working...it's been 102, 90% humidity in ks😢but we learn to adapt( im 63 but keeping our dogs cool is my priority) luckily I bought portable units last year❤cmon fall🥵

I know you are frazzled but just breath!! It will get easier as you go!!! The heat will wear you out! Issue with your livelihood surely takes precedent to the videos. Honestly I was feeling guilty I hadn't had time to watch, so let's ALL take a breath and do what we can when we can.
If I could add one tiny piece of advice, pick one (1) thing to change. Make easier for yourself. Whether it is always wash the dishes as you use them, or cook ahead a few things and reheat a few meals as you go. Cooked brats two days in a row won't hurt a soul. Something like that anyway. Just one thing that helps uncluttered your chaos. You do a great job, the RV looks great. Keep your chin up and we love you guys so don't fret. ❤

Hey from Ohio. I get the hit deal it has been miserable, cooler today but supposed to get hot again.
I could do sandwiches in heat but husband has to have a reg meal as he says so my crockpot been getting a workout & I have been using it for heating leftovers. I use a cooking bag, level food in it & put in plastic container then when I am going to heat it up, I just put bag of food back in crockpot to heat. Been workinout great, just getting used to heating times.
You sound frazzled, you need to give yourself some grace. You totally upended your life & I get why but it's a lot of work & adjustments to make. Good Lord that tiny freezer compared to what you had, huge change right there. Trying to find places for everything etc so it will take some time , think you are doing great. Hang in there!❤

It may not feel like it, but once the cry is over, it's like putting all the bad stuff behind you for a bit. Did you sell them or decide to store them? And you had an awesome pantry set up at other house, what did you decide to do with the pantry storage? Just Courious because we are thinking of downsizing too.
It sounds like the vacation/novelty feel has worn off and the overwhelming stage has set in. I’m guessing you are somewhat questioning this decision and wondering how this will work but I don’t think this stage will last long and you’ll get into a rhythm just like with any major change. Keep focussing on your self care and if you don’t already try journaling to work through those feelings.

Hi Tamara, I feel your pain. It’s so hot in Va too that I just don’t want to eat either. I have no ac in my car either an can’t afford to fix it. I’ve been out of work for over a year for health reasons so money is a big issue. I’ve been trying to find something even a work from home but so far nothing but scams. 🙏🏻to you that things get better

Living in a metal box (RV) is going to be much hotter. Like an oven with a metal roof and sun beating on it. AC gives me a headache for some reason and chills. If it's not too hot, I just use a fan for air movement. Hope ya'll get some relief soon!

@SouthernWifeEverydayLife Yes, I understand. It just takes a lot more resources to cool a metal box than a wooden one. I was just saying that AC really bothers me. It makes me a little sick. I live in an upstairs apt which gets stifling hot. So, sometimes I have no choice on some days.

For your egg roll wrappers, have you ever made homemade chili rellenos? I use egg roll wrappers for mine! You just need a can of whole green chilies and cheese. Put one chili in the egg roll wrapper, a church of cheese and roll it up. Roll it in brown sugar (I know it sounds weird but it’s amazing!) and fry it up! So good and so easy!

I had a bad day today too. Went to the dental surgeon today. Now, I have a jaw full of stitches. Never expected that. But, when I got home I got a swim suit in the mail & it’s perfect. 😊 It’s always something.

Tamara, I could tell that you are overwhelmed with all that is going on. The heat has been horrible here in Ohio & I can't imagine how it would be in a RV. I know in one of your videos you mentioned having problems with your shower leaking (hopefully you got that fixed) because you mentioned you had to move the towels that you had rolled & stacked by the sink got wet from the shower.
