I remember watching Lawrence Wong during covid and dealing with all the pressures of taking care of the Nation (health) and doing the right thing. I loved him then. Now so proud that he has become PM and listening to him speak again, I think he's just such a great guy. So humble, very well balanced. Us young Singaporeans just don't know how good we've got it compared to so many other countries. I hope he continues on as PM and continues to take care of Singapore.
This is the only PM that I feel has a feel for the ground and has come from where 80% of Singaporeans are from. Thank u sir for taking the time and putting in D effort to hear what’s happening on d ground and adding a breath of fresh air to the ruling party!
Thanks for organizing this and thank you PM Wong for being so relatable. You are a breath of fresh air please continue what you are doing and don’t ever let the job change who you are. You have my vote.
I got goosebumps on PM Wong’s prologue and I can totally see John feeling emotional Thanks for the taking the time PM and well done to the TDK team! 👏👏👏
Thank you for having my "偶像"PM Wong to speak at such a humble level! TDK真的很行!Proud of you guys! Sir, my full support is always there for you and your team...
The Daily Ketchup Podcast outdone yourselves! This was such a nice episode, with good conversations and questions. Of course, the fact that you all actually got PM Wong to be on the show. Truly enjoyed this episode.. Kudos to TDK! 🎉🎉
I would love to see President Tharman and SM Loong on the podcast. Someone asked why and I think I just enjoy hearing them speak. Very eloquent yet very careful with their choice of words.
another amazing milestone and achievement for the podcast to host PM Wong, goes to show the influence you all have and how far y’all have come in this journey!! surprised that he is also an INFJ like me john always just smiling whenever PM Wong is talking hahaha
Thank for organsing this, allowing us to hear a down to earth & flank exchanges. Giving us the opportunity to our prime minister better as a person & singaporean.
PM certainly has good public speaking skill that is honed along his journey. Clear thoughts and articulation. Sensible answers for questions, especially the advice for chasing musical dream. Look forward to him leading our nation to a greater height... First time seeing this channel, not sure whats the usual settings, but i felt the casual discussion period is too long, and not enough difficult questions have been asked... but keep up the good works 💪 😊
He's impressive. I've nvr been a fan of the PAP, and still dislike some of the old guard who sometimes come across as dismissive, arrogant and out of touch. Lawrence doesn't come across like that at all. Plus he can communicate complex things in layman terms in a natural way. How he'll perform as PM, we'll see in time. But as a person and a communicator ... looking solid. 🙏
Actually I think they should do a podcast with the leader of opposition - it would be really good to see what they think and what they see their role is at this current stage. Gives a balanced view of governance in SG
He as a prime minister is so humble and straight forward wish him the best of success in whatever he do. Singaporean do like him as he is so kind and helpful May God keeps him safely always.
Wow Alison dressed up for this podcast. Very nice! Thank you for the podcast. Got to know PM better and understood Singapore's future direction and what one must do to be relevant. Also, his take on being successful for your passion is very very valuable advice for those going this route for your career.
great episode, PM really spoke well and delivered both more casual answers and serious ones well. amazing interview from the casts as well. Can really feel how likeable as a person the PM is from the casts the expressions. really has that relatability and even in this setting he also gave answeres that left us speechless and that foreword really hit home.
Respect for opinions from others who think vastly differently and sometimes seemingly opposite to your thinking. Being a diverse society means there will always be multiple differences in many areas. Diversity itself is a double-edged sword. It can tear us apart or open up opportunities for better understanding. To come to an agreeable consensus for things to move forward and not lock yourself into an immovable position to attempt to gain maximum advantage. I think these are the 2 things which we all need to have to move our society forward and make it a society we can all be proud of and be proud to be part of.
This was good and kudos for bringing the PM on. I did feel that there wasn’t really a need to kept emphasising the “sian ness” of PM’s job though. If I were him I hear will also be demoralised LOL. I suppose it’s something that he already embraced by agreeing to take on the role. And to hear young people like yourselves (and myself behind the screen) cheering him on, that’s probably already heartening for him
Much love to our PM. May God continue to grant him and his team the wisdom and vision to lead our nation forward. Singapore's 4th 坡岛总舵主 - Huat ah! 🇸🇬! (Now that I’ve proudly identified myself as a PAP supporter, I hope we can address the growing concerns about the influx of CECAs in our IT workforce. In my previous workplace, many seemed underproductive, and it’s left me wondering why they’re here. Pretty please, guys?)
We need to have at least 1/3 of the parliament to be from opposition party to have checks and balances and prevent abuse of power as evidenced by those countries (aka China, North Korea) who are ruled by one-party. It is also evident from the ruling party taking advantage of its power to deny fair and level playing ground during every election. The PAP govt will be working harder for the people if there are more alternative voices in the parliament. It is heartening to see that at least 39% of the Singaporeans are sacrificing their interests to uphold democracy by voting for opposition parties. There is no democracy and freedom of choice if there are alternative parties for the people to choose. Singaporeans are getting the best out of the PAP govt because of this 39% voted for oppositions! Yes, food for your thoughts!
LW's mum is 84, i.e. she is born in 1940. I realised that most of the pioneer and merdeka generations do perform much better brining up their children under LKY and they themselves also working hard. Most of them were poor or from average income of those days, but the support schemes from the then gov were good. They managed to buy property, have car, maid, and raise 2 or more kids to university level. However, the older generation's children (now in their 30s) are not able to thrive like their parents did and remain 'poor' compared to their parents' era. Why? Is it because sg couldn't catch up with the world's performance with the younger generation of sg gov leaders, or is it because the younger Singaporeans are less resilient and less hardworking?
Thanks for this podcast how come in 21st century basic financial literacy like budgetting, saving and avoiding credit card debts is still missing in our education ?!
Wow I love Lawrence 4th gen pm. Fr he looks so approachable. +10000 aura pts. And fr ketchup team also very garang to come up with the idea: hey call pm wong to come to our show la 😂😂😂 Pm wong be like: yayyyy no more boring meetings
PM Wong, do you see our lack of land as a limitation to what we want to achieve? Are there any possibilities of acquiring more land from our neighbours?
PAP has been the ruling party since day one of Singapore independence. Thus it did not inherit any political issues from any opposition ruling parties before. As such, it is pointless to compare sg to other countries 'incumbent PM' as other countries do frequently change rulling parties. Therefore, it is reasonable for younger Singaporeans to expect that they could do better in life than their parents and be able to afford to buy property, own car, and suport their own children's education to university level locally.
I'm much older and been driving since I was in my 20s. Now into my 40s. Sadly cars will always be a wants than need in Singapore. We are too small and imagine if everyone or household has a car,a 10km drive might take 2 hours and will be very inefficient. I have a friend from Jakarta, his home to his workplace is 10 mins drive. But everyday,to and back from work,he spent almost 3 hours on the road for that short stretch. Imagine those doing delivery ppl or air con service guy, where one day maybe can only do 1 or 2 jobs only.
Do you share the same MBTI as Singapore's prime minister?
No ah im ENTJ than INFJ.
i am INFJ too lol.
I do! INFJ advocate!
ngl, never in my life will i be able to imagine seeing my PM on a podcast lol
We also didn’t imagine bro 🥹
PM Wong is a likeable person. He always looks sincere.
I remember watching Lawrence Wong during covid and dealing with all the pressures of taking care of the Nation (health) and doing the right thing. I loved him then.

TDK has come so far to have PM on their show! great questions and PM really is very well spoken, such a great episode!!

+1
The Daily Ketchup Podcast outdone yourselves! This was such a nice episode, with good conversations and questions. Of course, the fact that you all actually got PM Wong to be on the show. Truly enjoyed this episode.. Kudos to TDK! 🎉🎉
For the next interview, please invite SM Loong.
Why?
Who?!
I would love to see President Tharman and SM Loong on the podcast. Someone asked why and I think I just enjoy hearing them speak. Very eloquent yet very careful with their choice of words.
Yea sing Anita Mui song "why why tell me why"....😂😅
another amazing milestone and achievement for the podcast to host PM Wong, goes to show the influence you all have and how far y’all have come in this journey!!
surprised that he is also an INFJ like me

Our PM is such a genuine person!
Can we take a moment to appreciate the team for making this happen? Lets have a BTS on how episode came to pass as well!
excellent intervew! Great questions and brilliant answers. Thank you PM Wong for your time. 🙏
Thank for organsing this, allowing us to hear a down to earth & flank exchanges. Giving us the opportunity to our prime minister better as a person & singaporean.
I like his quote “our own health is our own responsibility”
Wow impressive....SG Prime Minister on your podcast!!!!
im amazed at how he has make time for this podcast.
But this is quite entertaining.
Well it's just 45minutes, shorter than a lunch break, and I think PM Wong has managed to reach out to many Singaporeans using just 45minutes. Worth.
@@noproblematallmate, 45 mins is edited. Bet the recording was longer

PM Wong is very genuine and well-spoken. This is how leaders should speak. Calm, composed and talk facts.

Thanks for an insightful podcast for all of us! PM rocks 👌..1st PM born after independence 🇸🇬
Something about PM saying that he has only ever sung 1 national anthem, hit me like a ton of bricks.
From TikTok Guo Lai to now PM of Singapore, what a podcast
HOLY SHIT his prologue. i got goosebumps that was so good!!!

Next on the list: LHL 😄
Actually I think they should do a podcast with the leader of opposition - it would be really good to see what they think and what they see their role is at this current stage. Gives a balanced view of governance in SG

Ya its time to balance out yeah. Bring in the oppositions!
Kudos to our PM for taking the time out despite the busy schedule!👏
He as a prime minister is so humble and straight forward wish him the best of success in whatever he do. Singaporean do like him as he is so kind and helpful May God keeps him safely always.
Thank you PM Wong for serving and protecting Singapore and it's citizen. We are grateful. Wishing you good health always.
TDL has reached maximum level of VIP to come to the show. Both Head of Gov and Head of State come to the show
You guys have outdone yourself. What an awesome coup to get PM to your show. Well done
Shout out to the behind the scenes team on this, I just know this was a logistical and editing nightmare for such a VVVIP
Wow Alison dressed up for this podcast. Very nice!

This is cool! I love following Singapore - from Dallas, Texas USA
Hello from Singapore!
He is a very knowledgeable, friendly, kind PM. Love Singapore. All the best in 2025. 🎉

wow. i never expected the PM on this podcast. I cannot imagine whats next
Never seen JP smile so much.
His armpit sweating
HE IS SO REAL
and hello fellow INFJ
My one wish for SG60: when the finale item for NDP plays, the spotlight shifts to reveal PM Wong on stage with the musicians jamming with the band
I hope the job doesn’t harden / disillusion him too much. He still looks okay
Wow.. dun now how you guys does it and what connections you guys pull. But this is a big one.
For you to be able to get the PM to your podcast, i must give you a subscribe 👍
33:33 funny how annoyed john was at how good the answer is
pls bring in SM Lee Hsien Loong next!
yall ah seriously hahahahah never fail to make me go wow. love tdk many
We love you too!!
This is a very insightful session with transparent sharing from our PM Wong. Well done to the TDK team!
Wonder how many bodyguards were in the studios 😂

this podcast has had how many ministers on already? lost count. now even got the PM to come on. really power.
DAMNNNNNN, THE RANGE MY GOD
Getting a bit stressful. 😂
I'm beginning to think there's nobody TDK cannot get on the podcast.
We cannot get leader of opposition 😭
Really good questions
omg they got the pm on the show?
Hello ✌🏼 Everyone 🍻
LW's mum is 84, i.e. she is born in 1940. I realised that most of the pioneer and merdeka generations do perform much better brining up their children under LKY and they themselves also working hard. jon paul is speechless 😂
How come didn't request PM Wong to sing a song? 要拼才會贏 😁
Thanks for this podcast how come in 21st century basic financial literacy like budgetting, saving and avoiding credit card debts is still missing in our education ?!
Please talk about how the security clearance process was like to bring the PM on!
Never clicked so fast ❤️
Looking at the US elections, the party who wins is the one that go on the most podcasts.

Approachable but is the average sporean having a better quality of life VS our parents generation?
CSJ is listening and trying to catch small details to criticize and put on his tiktok lol
Wow PM
Love this man. Hope he makes good trades with Trump and makes SG great again!
PM Wong, do you see our lack of land as a limitation to what we want to achieve? Are there any possibilities of acquiring more land from our neighbours?
Ohhhh GE coming! The campaign has begun!!
TDK has been inviting MP be it PAP or opposition to the show.
I would love to see SM Lee but i know the chances are really low considering he is half retired.
Biggest guest so far from the local scene, elections soon. 2024/2025 is the year of podcast campaigning
Long Live His Majesty ! May His Majesty govern SG and lead us to more prosperous heights
Next guests - SM Lee Hsien Loong and President Tharman.
We dare to dream! 😂
Will TDK also invite opposition party, since John is pro-PAP, can do a debate.
Did PM answered the question that PAP had lost touch with the ground. I am still waiting to hear his reply to the question.
So does the opposition, no?
Replied with his dialogue on PAP being the incumbent and the POV of political incumbent
Please invite mr Ong ye kung
