I feel the same way for any of their items where you are spending extra for a limited or special edition piece from LV. I picked up the NYC 57th St edition perfume and there was no unique card or ribbon to distinguish it from the regular bottle, only the name New York in red added to the inside box holding the perfume.

Yeah, that’s true. They made it available pop-ups because they had to on other countries it was available. I think Japan it was with every order, but as I was told a lot of the boutiques had to buy their packaging inside their budget like the boxes was extra for them on top of stock so they didn’t allocate money towards it which again makes absolutely no sense
My friend, a former LV employee, mentioned that the items in the back of the store were delivered in packaging that felt more like Temu than luxury. It really shows how much the designer brand name drives the perception.

I purchased three items as Canada have limited stuff that was avaialable. I wanted the doggie bag to be honest, but it was only around Australia that was offered. I also didn’t receive the custom packaging-so disappointing. You’re right, they really should include it as part of the overall experience. Tbh, it would have made more sense to release the collection around early spring. Realistically, most people can’t afford LV, especially right after the holidays. Have you seen many LV rants lately including reddit.

I have Murakami pieces already and part of the reason why I would love to get something from this collection is to get the whole thing, yes bags, ribbons, tissue and all. I’m an all black girly like you, i don’t really do color too too much, but i did order a couple of pieces from the Murakami collection just for the nostalgia, but i was super bummed because i didn’t get any of the packaging that i have been seeing with the collection…it was a chaotic launch and all over the place in terms of stock :(. I am glad that you were able to pick up an item. In the US, the website was a disaster and kept crashing so many of us were left with nothing from our wish list. Definitely a disappointing experience as a loyal customer.

Regardless of the *yutulu* bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.
I have the medium YSL Niki which is a perfect day bag and you can stuff anything in it, but the Lou Toy is perfect as an evening bag/club bag as I tend to only carry one card holder, Basic toiletries, keys and my phoneyt COPYMAXY
I purchased an item from the LV holiday collection and it arrived in an orange box with no ribbon or tag 🤯 I complained and they said they had no holiday box but sent me a holiday tag and lots of ribbon…I kinda wanted the box, not ribbon 😂
So what I found out is that the boxes were extra for the boutiques to buy. So if they wanted to have the full set up of ribbons and stickers, tissue paper and boxes, they had to buy the full packaging merchandise. A lot of boutiques didn’t want to put out the budget for that…. But again, it shouldn’t have been set up that way by Louis Vuitton that doesn’t even make sense…. unless the entire house under budgeted for the entire collection.
@@JerushaCouture That’s not fair for the customer…or the store! So they need a footnote somewhere then saying that the packaging isn’t available at all stores. If you’re buying from this collection I’m pretty sure you’ll be a collector and want the full experience.
I got the Dragonne XL because it’s the only item I could successfully buy on launch day and was worried it was going to be gigantic! It’s not bad at all and I’m using it daily for keys. Snuggles nicely into my Neverfull PM.

On the website it even advertised the new packaging for the line when you click on a murakami item and scroll through it’s pictures. It makes you think that’s what it comes with when you order 🤷🏻♀️
The only thing was there was terms and conditions in small writing at the bottom, saying while stocks last. Now the words they covered themselves for the fact they didn’t buy enough packaging. That’s right they made each Boutique buy in the extra packaging so obviously not all of them did.
I’ve had such bad experiences recently with LV… they banned me from purchasing any more items because I ordered some items online and returned them, due to canvas faults.. and reordered the same bag.. the second bag had a fault so returned it again.. now I’m banned!! Then.. they said an item “wasn’t packed” in one of the returns… so I’m still fighting for a refund!! Terrible terrible customer service considering my years of loyalty and purchases from them! Not good enough!

I purchased three items as Canada have limited stuff that was avaialable. I wanted the doggie bag to be honest, but it was only around Australia that was offered. I also didn’t receive the custom packaging-so disappointing. You’re right, they really should include it as part of the overall experience. Tbh, it would have made more sense to release the collection around early spring. Realistically, most people can’t afford LV, especially right after the holidays. Have you seen many LV rants lately including reddit.

I totally agree on this if you order off luxury website it should be decorated with that type of designer you spend all this money they you get plan packing if I was you I would go into Louis Vuitton and say rewrap this as a customer it should be done properly I have done it before and they have fixed it right up

I have Murakami pieces already and part of the reason why I would love to get something from this collection is to get the whole thing, yes bags, ribbons, tissue and all. I bought a perfume because that’s all I can order from the collection. I haven’t picked it up yet and I too will be very disappointed if they put it in a regular packaging.

I’m an all black girly like you, i don’t really do color too too much, but i did order a couple of pieces from the Murakami collection just for the nostalgia, but i was super bummed because i didn’t get any of the packaging that i have been seeing with the collection…it was a chaotic launch and all over the place in terms of stock :(. Thank you for the prayers for LA the fires are absolutely horrible, we were evacuated and thank God my house is still standing 🙏

I’ve also ordered a classic LV wallet - zippy wallet and that came with Murakami packaging which was shocking. It was backwards but I guess I’m glad I got the murakami ribbon, panda, and stickers 🤷🏻♀️

I have the medium YSL Niki which is a perfect day bag and you can stuff anything in it, but the Lou Toy is perfect as an evening bag/club bag as I tend to only carry one card holder, Basic toiletries, keys and my phoneyt COPYMAXY
I purchased an item from the LV holiday collection and it arrived in an orange box with no ribbon or tag 🤯 I complained and they said they had no holiday box but sent me a holiday tag and lots of ribbon…I kinda wanted the box, not ribbon 😂
So what I found out is that the boxes were extra for the boutiques to buy. So if they wanted to have the full set up of ribbons and stickers, tissue paper and boxes, they had to buy the full packaging merchandise. A lot of boutiques didn’t want to put out the budget for that…. But again, it shouldn’t have been set up that way by Louis Vuitton that doesn’t even make sense…. unless the entire house under budgeted for the entire collection.
@@JerushaCouture That’s not fair for the customer…or the store! So they need a footnote somewhere then saying that the packaging isn’t available at all stores. If you’re buying from this collection I’m pretty sure you’ll be a collector and want the full experience.
I got the Dragonne XL because it’s the only item I could successfully buy on launch day and was worried it was going to be gigantic! It’s not bad at all and I’m using it daily for keys. Snuggles nicely into my Neverfull PM.

I couldn’t get anything… but I’m sort of glad because it probably wouldn’t have been something I actually wanted. They really made me feel like I wasn’t important enough to get a single thing.
On the website it even advertised the new packaging for the line when you click on a murakami item and scroll through it’s pictures. It makes you think that’s what it comes with when you order 🤷🏻♀️
The only thing was there was terms and conditions in small writing at the bottom, saying while stocks last. Now the words they covered themselves for the fact they didn’t buy enough packaging. That’s right they made each Boutique buy in the extra packaging so obviously not all of them did.
I’ve had such bad experiences recently with LV… they banned me from purchasing any more items because I ordered some items online and returned them, due to canvas faults.. and reordered the same bag.. the second bag had a fault so returned it again.. now I’m banned!!
Then.. they said an item “wasn’t packed” in one of the returns… so I’m still fighting for a refund!!

This bag is super cute and the brown is a great shade. The fabric is soft and very supportive! I love that the main pocket rests against your back when you're wearing it.
