    Thank you for the video! About a month ago my TS started having problems. At first it was just the low temperature of the milk, but now I have water leaking from this valve. The part number you have in the video is 592, the only compatible one I can find is 594 12 24v v5 6772332. I will order it from eBay, hope it will fit the system :) I just sent you a request for the parts manual, please!

    What are the symptoms that lead to replacing the valve? Would be useful to include this detail.

      Good point! Initial symptoms were leaking water from underneath the machine, and low milk drink temps

    Hi, I’m after some advice from you. I have the barista ts machine. Firstly it started to take no milk in and also not draw any hot water through. It would just dump it in the drip tray. At this point it was still producing coffee. However, after running out of water it will now not take in any water to fill the machine. Can you help identify what’s wrong? Thanks in advance.

      hard to say. it sounds like you may ahve an issue with the same valve asx in the videos, but could also be the overpressure system on coffee side too. not sure. requires more diagniosis

  • @joakborj
    @joakborj ปีที่แล้ว

    Now I got the dreaded flashing "The drip tray is missing" on the screen. When I measure the tray switch I got 1.5V when not engage and 0V when engage. Is this normal?

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure, it's a reed switch if I recall but not sure if normally closed or open, or the voltage.
      I would assume it is correct however. This sounds more like a board signal issue than the sensor. Hard to tell tho

    My machine has started to have these sizling/fizling noises after using milk so I suppose it is the ceramic valve? Is it possible just buy the the ceramic valve instead of the the whole kit including the motor?

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. It's possibly the ceramic valve. Are you noticing any water or steam leak?
      I'm unsure if you can buy a refurbished kit or just the white le valve and motor assembly. There have been multiple versions so it is unlikely you can just buy a rekit for the head.

    So I have returned mine twice because it stops grinding and says that the beans are empty (they aren't). I clean and empty and clean more and refill and repeat multiple times then give up and return it. Melitta says 'oh we just cleaned it and now it works'. Hmmmm. Anyway, it has happened again and I just can't be bothered to box it up and return it AGAIN. Is it worth taking the back/top/other side off and trying to fiddle with the sensor? Or should I give up and chuck it away (am tempted to as it's been such a pain).

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two things come to mind. 1, try adjusting your grind slightly coarser and see if this helps, 2 try a different bean/roast. Both may have an effect. If it still does it I'd say send it back again with notes of what you've tried and that it is a reoccurring issue that is not just cleaning related as they have done this before. If it's under warranty I'd ask for a refund or complete replacement unit if they can't find anything else wrong with it. I'm sorry you've had so many issues. They are normally very reliable :-(

    I have a brand new barista ts smart and instead of foaming it spitting milk, I tried sucking milk from the melitta container and also from a cup , tried cleaning it with cleaning solution and to put the milk container on high place and nothing seem to work! any idea what could it be?

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd check that you don't have an air leak or blockage at the spout. Remove the milk foaming unit and give it a wash and reinstall. If your issue persists and it is brand new, I'd return it and get a replacement as it could be faulty perhaps?

      It’s the type of milk you’re using. It’s designed for cows milk and barista versions of alternative milks. It will not work properly with non-barista versions of alternative milk as the protein content and therefore the viscosity is incorrect.

    • @camielkotte
      @camielkotte หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@robinisathakur i can confirm this, but also you could try with different types of "milk" , what happens when the milk container is very low or if you hold it up a bit so it flows more easily in. Not too high though, or it ll start flowing by its self.

      @@JimTheCoffeeGuyThanks, I have the latte setting to give a large amount of milk. I began to noticed the amount of milk froth was getting less and less and was having to press the button after the latte was supposedly finished to get extra milk. There was plenty of steam/noise and it was trying but nothing was appearing in the mug.
      I kept using the machine but pressed the coffee button and then added my own microwaved milk. And then all of a sudden it wouldn't give me anything. I have been cleaning it when told to using melitta chemicals. Thanks

      @@JimTheCoffeeGuy hey mate, same problem but mine just stopped giving milk after a great coffee one day, no warning. i know about the rubbers & they're fine, huge steam, i think its gota be a split diaphragm in the milk pump, if it has one or in a tube as the pump is strong & the same beat as it always was & the steam is strong, no blockages. I don't think its the the steam action that pumps it from the container to the frother so its the pump system somehow. its not the type of milk. just read from your reply there are no pumps, i don't know how it can be as i've checked that & it's a simple system.

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@michaelg6364 there is no milk pump, it runs Venturi effect.
      Steam from thermoblock runs through the multi valve, and then put via a Teflon tube iirc.
      If you are getting strong steam, the issue is between the cold milk and the steam, most likely an air leak that stops milk being sucked up

    Hi Jim, my machine isnt pumping any milk, could this valve be the problem?

    • @JimTheCoffeeGuy
      @JimTheCoffeeGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The machine does not have a milk pump, it uses a Venturi effect to suck milk through.
      If the machine is outputting steam but no milk is coming through then you have a blockage in the milk line/outlet head or an air leak.
      If no steam is being made at all it could be the valve or thermoblock.
