    After watching this video, I’m still walking away thinking so which one is better pre-workout or energy drink? I heard a lot of talking without any clear cut answers.

      cheap coffee is usually not freshly roasted though. My coffee experience starts when I grind the beans and it smells so good. Then it tastes different as well (better or worse is subjective) but I like cold brewing my older coffee and hot brew the fresh batches.

    Beta alanine usually works for set exceeding 60 secs. Why do include it in your pre workout as most of your and your audience sets would end quite early than that?

    • @thejoetandy
      @thejoetandy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plenty of AMRAP, Myo-Reps, and similar rep schemes in a bunch of their programs.

    • @BarbellMedicine
      @BarbellMedicine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would not agree that beta-alanine only works for improving performance in sets lasting longer than 60 seconds, nor that improved workout performance is it's only mechanism of action. That said, many of my sets and other exercise efforts last longer than 60s.

    I don't advocate for any of that. Just be intrinsically motivated and work out when its time. Some people seem too hyped up and might overtrain or rupture something.
