Hi, I’m a new subscriber 🥰 I was searching for asmr sleep videos and saw one of yours, shock of my life when in the beginning of your video you said Kia Ora 😍😍🥰 which is my native language and unfortunately my second language ❤ instantly subscribed to your channel and love your content 😊
Nana, your videos have gotten me through a really rough week last week; two overnight bus journeys, a (very late) ADHD diagnosis and the flu. I know I'm just one of many, many people who feel like this, but I genuinely think your videos have improved my life significantly, so thank you so, so much.
I'm so glad you've shared that. I hate overnight buses. Used to do this a lot when I lived in Poland and even here in NZ when bus tickets were cheaper than flights. Now I don't think we even have busses here. And I hope now that you know about ADHD you will be able to find the ways to manage it. My videos and meditations are always there to support you when needed ♥
I grew up speaking Romanian in America, but going to American schools and living here in America it definitely changed the way we speak, we still speak Romanian but not nearly as much as English, it’s a little sad because I want my daughter to learn and speak Romanian too but it gets harder cause everyone speaks English around us and around her. So personally it’s sad cause it’s a part of me that I feel like is fading away 🙃 I love your videos! Best part of my night is listening to you🤗
I LOVE Tania's hair!! I'm so glad she's agreed to be on your channel more often! My favourite video with her is the massage she was giving you, she has such a gentle touch! ❤️ and I love the hair play you did on the massage chair as well. They both put me right to sleep (sadly or gladly, I don't know 😅)
This was so nice! If you haven't already, in one of your videos will you tell us about what led you to come to New Zealand and what it was like when you first moved?
About languages... I was born and raised in Argentina, and still live here, hence my mother tongue is Spanish. However, I've been studying English translation for a couple of years now, so all my studies are in that language. That is, I'm exposed to both languages daily and it is completely normal to lose "fluency" or some vocabulary. For me, it happens in a kind of seasonal way: sometimes I feel more comfortable speaking Spanish than English because I find it easier to express myself, and viceversa. I also know a little bit of Greek, which is much more difficult to remember because, like you said happens with russian, it's another alphabet. Also, I live so far away from Greece that the people that surround me are nowhere near to having knowledge of anything regarding that language. Therefore, without daily exposure to greek, it's really easy for me to forget things. Lastly, I know a bit of Italian as well, but since it's very similar to Spanish, it's easier to remember even if I haven't spoken it for a while. In my experience, languages are like muscles, you gotta exercise them, otherwise you'll lose all progress. But even if you are exposed and do in fact exercise more than one language daily, your brain will not be able to remember it all! ii can only do so much. I wish I could have an academic level of lexis in all the languages I know, but the truth is that they are all different in their own way, using tones and extralinguistic factors diversely (which have a lot to do with our fluency!). So it's not like I can switch from one language to another and expect myself to have an academic level of knowledge in all languages, but rather I have to get used to it for a little while before reaching that level. Hope I was clear and that my experience helps you understand our multilingual brains a little bit better. I love your videos
Thank you so much for replying to my comment about languages. It was very interesting to read about your experience. You English is excellent and I'm sure it matches the level of other languages you speak. I admire your desire to learn languages at their deepest level and I hope you will one day if you want to.
Hi Nana! Just want to let you know that i am in love with your channel- Every time i go off wondering and exploring new ASMR channels i just keep comming back to you💕💕!!!! yes some have great content, but every night when i lay my tired head on my pillow i have soft spoken asmr nana channel to rewind relax and enjoy one of the best asmrist and asmr sessions on utube-your hand movements hairbrushing and hairplay and your soothing amazing soft spoken voice are the whole package for helping my sleep🏆🏆🏆 Thank you sooooi much nana 💕💕💕😘
You have a beautiful whispered voice (and a beautiful voice in general), would you consider doing full whispered videos?❤ Love every single one of your videos!
Hi Nana my grandfather and my mother live in Germany, my grandfather already more than 40years I think. He is still able to talk Dutch (as we are Dutch) but it is very hard for him and he forgets words too! My mother lives in Germany for 3 years now but her partner is German as well so she talks German,English and Dutch. And she is also mixing up the different languages :p Anddd my sister lives in England for 12 years now she also struggles with the Dutch language :p so I guess it is totally normal. Can be very annoying for yourself but I hope it makes you feel a little better. ❤❤ love the video as always 🥰
So odd that this is the topic. I was born in the US but am of Irish decent (several generations ago) but I grew up as my first language being Gaelic. I didn't learn English until I got to school and even then speaking to my family was always in Gaelic.
i tried clicking on the link to buy some of your merch and it said page not found. Not sure if the issue is on my end, but thought I would mention it to you. Thanks for another great video.
Unfortunately, there is a problem on the merch website. It is a bit sad that people are not able to access the products anymore. I hope they will fix it soon.
Nana, i love your videos. But lately the camera has been auto focussing on the items in the background which is very hard on the eyes. Are you able to lock the camera focus onto your subject and turn off auto focus? Keep up the great work.
I love your videos, but this is the third one I watch and all I hear are the birds in the background you have to get rid of them birds it’s not relaxing at all when all you hear is chirping

Ah the birds are back! I like the birds in the background, I feel like I'm in a very beautiful and relaxing place. 😌🍃
That light touch in the beginning is everything.
Love falling asleep to your voice!
So soothing, gentle and melodious! 😴
Your soft spoken voiceovers are the best, and I love the birdsong in the background ❤
I LOVE all of your soft spoken videos. You have such a soothing, calming voice. ❤
