Two insights for me from these pictures: the blurring forces my perception of the essential things that the photographer wants to show me. And then my brain can make up a story about it. That's nice when it works. It usually works great for your images! The only risk for the photographer is that he shows something that is insignificant or that the composition is not right. The fact that this doesn't happen is the actual achievement of the photographer... Thanks for the pictures!
Thank you for writing down your opinion in such detail. Are there specific photos in this video that do not support or even block the creation of a story in your head? Could I encourage you to answer this question for me? I welcome constructive criticism because I can learn from it. Giving inspiring impulses with my photographic work is very important to me. @@monikabrandenstein5011 Very gladly. 😊 Personally, I've noticed that your photos with people in them trigger a lot more stories in my head. Images without people can be aesthetically and intellectually satisfying, but they trigger fewer feelings and stories. By the way, my absolute favorite book on this topic is "Wie Fotos wirken" by Brian Dilg. The introduction as well as the chapters "Fokus" and "Auslassung & Fantasie" might be interesting concerning your style.
@@tjwspm Vielen Dank auch für dieses Feedback. Ja - ich verstehe deine Argumentation. Das geht mir ähnlich, wenn ich mir Fotografien anschaue - vor allem in dem Genre Streetfotografie. Ist immer ein wenig Gratwanderung dabei, Menschen ins Bild zu integrieren. Symptomatisch für diese 'blurry' Aufnahmen sind ja gerade die Andeutungen, die als Trigger fungieren können fürs Kopfkino. Danke übrigens auch für den Buchtipp.
@@monikabrandenstein5011 Schärfe wird ja von vielen Fotografierenden aus der Technik-Fraktion generell überschätzt. Noch etwas anderes ist es natürlich, die Unschärfe bewusst einzusetzen. In diesem Zusammenhang hat mich dieses Foto von MTC sehr beeindruckt, dass er im vorigen Jahr (mit einer Minox aus den 1950er Jahren - weniger Kamera geht nicht) aufgenommen hat.
