You know I always thought of goats as being not so smart animals that tear up everything. Boy has this channel really changed my mind. Haha, they're ALWAYS hungry. I've never met more food motivated creatures. To answer your question though, yeah it's normal. Theyre actually looking really healthy and full, which feels good. Most of them have had babies this year, and they can get kind of thin as a result as they nurse their babies. Theyre looking good though. We make sure they get enough food:)

I love seeing you with your goats, it's all sweet and funny! I do wonder though, why do you separate the kids and mommas? Is it just while they're out and about during the day, or is the morning feed the only time they all get together?
They're separated always, except for when we bring the moms in to feed them a few times a day. It's good for the babies socially, and I believe health wise as well. I'm not the authority, so I'm not sure all the reasons, but I do know there are real pros to separating them.
I’m curious why you keep the moms and babies apart and only let them drink when you put them together rather than just letting them all cohabitat and drink when they want or need?
I've had a few people mention the happy ears. I'll have to make a habit of pointing those out more. Something I really like seeing, but hadn't really realized that people might not know that they're a thing. More happy ears to come👌🏼

Just lots of practice! I see them every day, and you only have to learn a name once. And then once you have all of them, new ones are easy. I also enjoy talking to them by name. It makes things feel more personal between the goats and myself rather than they just being a number.
