    Hi I’ve just bought a 2016 mk7 golf the whole dashboard is lit up it does have one spare tire and in the rear left and also the tire is popped on the left front , I’m hoping it’s something to do with this as I’ve seen this quite frequently on forums , every single light is on , I’m taking quite a gamble but dyu reckon it could be caused by these sensors aswell ?

      And there isn’t any visible damage to do with any airbags or anything as this car is from an auction and has been verified to be an insurance right off I hope u could help guide me in the right way if it is 🙏

      Are there any codes? Have you tested the wheel speed sensors in live data, like shown in the video?

    Your presentation is very easy going and makes the video very easy to watch, excellent troubleshooting. Highlights the complexity of modern vehicles that may present major issues as the vehicles age.

      You are right Colin. It is getting tougher to be a quality technician. I do courses at least once a fortnight, either face to face or online.
      The complexities of the systems we have to deal with and even software issues can be a real challenge.
      Thanks for your comment 😁

    It's amazing how a lot of those "advanced" functions depend on the humble wheel speed sensors. Good to know that they now detect direction of wheel rotation. That little laugh you gave before tricking the ABS unit by swapping wires around 🤓.
    Thanks.

      The vehicles and technology are getting more and more complex, so we have to be trained to be able to diagnose and repair these advanced systems.
      Thanks for your comments 😉

    Thanks so much for the video. This kind of info can save much heartache and $$. My Jetta just started having all the lights coming on. Could be a broken wire as well. Thought that was a malfunction since the car has been very dependable the past 2 years.

      I have the same problem on my 2017 Jetta. It's an intermittent problem lasts a couple of months then off for a year, then on again. Since new, never addressed the issue. Car runs perfect.

    • @MiracleMAX
      @MiracleMAX  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrJoeairman2000 These did have ABS module issues. However, as yours is intermittent, it could also be a wiring issue as well, like shown in the video.

    Had this happen on my Skoda Superb III (2016). Local garage suspected a wheel sensor, but after taking it for a spin, and doing a reset(?) the problem appeared to disappear. They told me to bring it back as soon as it went again (in the expectation that it'd last a day or two at most). That was 2 months ago and it's still working fine. Weird.

    • @MiracleMAX
      @MiracleMAX  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Wheel speed sensors can be very sensitive. Could have been a stone caught in the tone wheel, build up of rust, damaged wire - the list goes on. If it is a faulty sensor, given time, no doubt the code will come back.

    Driving home today my Passat B7 said lane assist gone, ABS gone, power steering fault, tyre pressure sensor gone. Car runs perfectly fine and all those systems work, but very worrying seeing 5 or 6 faults appear on the car while you're cruising down the motorway. I'm hoping it's a similar fault because no way are all those systems broken simultaneously and yet still work.

      @@Alexis-mk6 You don't need to take it to a dealer, just a reputable workshop. You need proper testing equipment & logically go through a diagnostic process. Aftermarket parts in some cases have been known to cause issues, but you would possibly need an oscilloscope to accurately test it.
