Thanks for bringing back memories of long ago. Did the traverse in your direction. Exciting bike descent followed by a long uphill slog back to the car. 20 Lakes Basin is spectacular.

Why in the world would “Bathtub Lakes Basin” be censored?? 😳
By the way, I have hiked, swam and camped in that basin maybe six or seven times over a period of 20 years. It’s one of my absolute favorite destinations in the Cascades. Always approached it from the north face of Mount Pilchuck, hiking under the north side of the lookout cliff. That high traverse is such an exciting ridge trail/scramble.
I see you found “The Gunsight” route to the lookout (that last gully you climbed).
Thanks for bringing up great memories via a well done video.

I just censored it and tried not to tag that title because some get upset when you spread around such a beautiful location that is less well known. Kind of a joke, but also a compromise for the video :) It is indeed a very beautiful area!

Did you drop a car? I've been up there from both ends and hiked 85% of this (plus Herman's Peak), but not the full traverse. I'm usually solo, so driving two cars up and down both of the horrible access roads is unlikely. Probably best to wait for a long nice day and do this out-and-back. It would be hard to not meander around admiring the beautiful lakes... they're such a time-suck. LOL

Very true on the beautiful scenery slowing you down. We dropped a car at Pilchuck first, but that involved a lot of rough road driving.

Did you find any sense of the blue algae syndrome in the lakes and ponds that has been hampering this summer. I want to bring my dog up to the lakes-very curious. Thank you. Awesome jobs on this vid!

The water looked very clean and clear, but I am not an expert on that subject.
