2 years ago drafted JT and Fournette in first 3 rounds, last year Chubb and Pollard in the first 2, I can claim that double hero RB is not always the way to go😂 definitely going with WR this year

Eckler did have an injury that nagged him for nearly the entire season. However, it was exacerbated on what also appears to be his skills falling off a cliff.

Part of the zero RB strategy that doesn’t get talked about enough is waivers. Specifically being Uber aggressive early on waivers if there’s a clear winner to be had like Kyren in 23’. You need to be using huge portions of your FAAB early on these guys that check the boxes without fear of having limited resources later on.
As an example, if you drafted Sanders, Mattison or any other bum as part of zero rb last year and missed on guys like Kyren or mostert because you were cheap on waivers you almost certainly lost your leagues. You have to be aggressive early on waivers when value opens up.
I draft 3 running backs in a row every year. 4th pick being best value available even if it’s a rb, and make playoffs every year.

My draft may force me into double RB. I'm at the turn in a 10-team league, and all my friends are high on the WRs. Mocks are leaving me with Breece/Bijan and Gibbs at the 10/11 turn. Not that I mind that much

My Hero RB strategy is 3 WR and 4th & 5th go QB/TE based upon how the draft is going. TE depth is a concern. If you get one of the top 4 TE's you will have a positional advantage almost every week. 6th and 7th I go fishing for RB's and very active in the waiver wire and Free Agents during the season.
I feel like I cant really justify zero rb in a 16 man league the rb talent goes down so fast and if someone takes your pick your screwed with no one
It's a strat that can absolutely come back to bite you. I would not recommend it honestly, but perhaps would recommend a 1 RB strategy. Taking zero top RB's in the first 3 or 4 rounds is just too risky.
Good RB's can be quite elusive on the wire, SPECIALLY in bigger leagues! You will end up fighting for the backups to injured players all year long just to keep your team afloat.
It can be done in a 12 team league. It depends on roster and scoring settings to justify it.
@@emj4three Very true, the way scoring is set up definitely affects it. I don't claim to be an expert on it or anything, but I have to assume PPR leagues are better suited for going No RB right?

I had the 7th pick in my 12 team full ppr redraft and I wasn’t gonna go zero rb, but puka fell to me in round 2 after I took Amon-ra in round 1. Was able to get Nico in round 3 and Josh Allen in round 4 too
Bro, I had almost the same setup. 😂 I was 6th in a 12 man half PPR. I took Amon, Puka fell to me somehow, then I actually took Allen in the 3rd and Cook in the 4th.
Chase brown might do something for the bengals, he has good size and did have the second fastest ball carrier speed out of everyone last year. Only dk metcalf was faster

It’s sort of zero rb but I secured two safe vet running backs after I had my top three receivers and my qbs and then I hit on rbs with upside in Chubb and Brooks and then Ford as an early season backup option while Chubb is out

If you play in Superflex and/or IDP leagues, that's also an incentive to go Zero RB for the same reason that you'd go Zero RB if you can start many WRs. The fewer roster spots you specifically need RBs to fill, the more you should lean towards Zero RB.

I did this last year!! Picked 2 RBs late round and won league. Picks Gibbs last and just picked off waiver wire.
I tried the no RB strat last year in a tiny family league of only 8. It wasn't the worst outcome, I lead the league in points scored. But that was through obsessive studying each week and almost never leaving points on the bench. However, it got old every week trying to decide between Nico Collins, Aiyuk, or Puca. It bit me at the very end when I benched Puca for Aiyuk and lost semis, which I would have won it all had I passed semis. It's just a headache trying to guess between 3 similar tier WR every week.
Mason, you made a small error - on Sleeper/Yahoo, where there are no positional minimums, the last 2 rounds don’t waste on kicker/DST, draft addt dart throw RBs/WRs that may have value shifts up to day before W1
I'm playing a 10 man PPR, 2 WR, 3 Flex. I'm playing the 1.02. This strategy feels perfect for me. CeeDee-Adams-London-Lamar-Andrews-WR-WR feels like the dream.
Went Zero RB for the first time ever in my draft this weekend, and I think I won big time! People were going RB early, and I still ended up getting Rhamondre in Round 7 😮💨
With rb's bust rate pretty high, grabbing as many of the top wr's you can get early is a winning recipe! I won my league by grabbing Mostert later
I'm in spot 12 and don't love any WR that falls to me. I don't think I could use zero rb this year

Went zero rb on Saturday, walked away with Najee and Pollard as my rbs
I drafted a 12 team on underdog getting Ceedee, Nico, Davantae, tank, and Stroud so now I’m feeling pretty good
10-team dynasty, 13 bench spots. Josh Downs just got dropped. I have 1000 FAAB, what price do you feel comfortable bidding?
2 things... would you keep LaPorta or Olave and Prescott or Burrow?
In a 12 team HPPR (1 flex), I’ve had the most success drafting like this:
1. WR (like Chase or ARSB)
2. RB (like Etienne or Jacobs)
3. TE (Kelce or Laporta)
4. QB (hopefully Allen or Hurts)
5. WR
6. WR
7. RB (Najee/Pollard/Moss)
8. RB (Najee/Pollard/Moss)
If Elite QB isn’t there in Round 4, maybe Kenneth Walker is. Then go for Kyler or Jordan Love in rounds 7 or 8.
Haven’t won yet but I got back to back chip appearances by drafting two rbs and a tight end
I got 1st pick this year, I haven’t had the 1st pick in my league in 10 years. My league has been hounding me for trades lol. Some offering their own 1sts & 5th’s for my 1st pick. Ofcourse they all want CMC but how much should i make them pay? Btw it’s a 10 man full ppr league. Snake draft.

Props to the recently retired Peter King. He called out not drafting Bijan last year in like August or July after visiting the Falcons. I thought it was weird because he doesnt talk about fantasy football.
Only pick that was iffy to me was njoku over b rob, his upside could make him a weekly rb starter

I have a hard time finding RBs that stick every year. WRs I always seem to get off the wire
Question, you have top 12 RBs and Top 17 wrs, maybe because of your Tiers. On a pure 1-1 its 2x more likely a RB will be a bust than a WR, inside of top 12 from last year. But what is the value gained over the field if you get the 1rb that holds true (50%) more risk. Thinking of value lost for depth at RB vrs a WR next round. I think the value at round 2 RB is very thin, then you are waiting until later rounds for RB. I stack RBS late anyway because, highest risk/reward position at that round and sometimes Opp > talent on later round RBs.
Edit I am along the lines of 2wr 1 flex. Obvi if you can start 4+ wrs, Wr holds more weight. I had it paused to respond without watching the end. My bad.
Had Chubb ekler and dobbins on the same team last year😢 still won the league tho getting Kyren and puka off the waiver wire
Austin ekeler had a great week 1, suffered the high ankle sprain, and wasn’t the same since. He busted because of injury, he was never fully 100%

Yeah I’m doing the exact opposite. I’m not leaving first 4 rounds without my pair of rb’s. Who tf wants to start Joe Mixon and Zach miss every week as rb 1 and 2 and feel comfortable. No thanks. Wr is so dispensable compared to rb. Only format this works on, is underdog.
