I am elated every time I open up my TH-cam account I see another Tom Hier video, hear his magnificent voice, and get moved by the emotion he puts into his music. Thank you, Tom.
Every song that I see that you post is such a magnificent performance. You make it your own with such emotion. You’re not just singing, but you are performing with such beauty. Thank you so much for sharing your great gifts with us all!
🎉 This is one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite movies. You sir, have honoured this song with your version. Listening across the pond in coastal Mississippi 👋🤠
Good idea this improvement in filming quality and studio sound. Beautiful effects with light ans shadows! Concerning the voice and feelings, no improvement was required 😊... so brilliant! This song is perfect for you, ...and for us, thank you Tom!
Agreed, and Welsh too? Not to mention all the training and experience? Only Boys Aloud, sang for Queen twice, West End Musicals, TV appearances...and it just keeps going. This young man is multi-talented. I just enjoy listening to him very much. He has such polished stage presence, makes me sad I am not in the UK to see him on stage live. If you have any videos of your Musical stage appearances would you consider uploading them here Tom?
I wonder why an unexpected kind of magic occurs in this song with the two echoing random small words "little" and "it'll". Maybe because they just hang there for a moment, like a ball in a childish game, long ago...?
A question: Why is the third "for me" sung "for mei"? I'd already noticed this with Loren Allred. Is there a technical reason for opening this vowel this way? Perhaps because this is a high note?
Nice one Anne. Good question, I like the delivery of lots of people singing this song, including the changing of vowel on that word. I tried it around in different takes, this was our fav.
The mouth shape for EE tends to strangle off and quiet the sound. Most skilled/trained singers opt for singing it as AA or aah so that the wide open mouth can produce a fuller, louder, clearer sound. Same goes for UU.
I close my eyes and I can feel this performace in my bones. Wonderful!
