My grandpa became a believer at 99 years old... I am so glad that God is just as extravagant in His generosity to the 11th hour workers as to those who worked the whole day!
I love watching your breakdowns of The Chosen episodes. Your perspectives are refreshing and different. You guys make me consider things I never would have otherwise (loke the logistics of where all the disciples would stay when they travelled to a city or town). Thank you.
I was so glad to hear you talk about God being born, and taking on flesh and becoming a man. I've talked to people who couldn't understand how this could even be possible. My response was, "Well, where do we start with things that don't seem possible?" I mean, we're talking about God! There's nothing He can't do!!
You make me really think deeply about the good news. I'm a visual learner and The Chosen brings scripture alive for me and has blessed my study and testimony. God bless you both for your earnest and humerous discussions.
Sooo good!! Was able to show this to a friend who recently came to know the lord!!! I love yalls insights!!! Thank you!!! So can't wait to see yalls takes on what's still to come in season 4!! Still praying for yall!!!
I appreciate your analysis of Jesus teaching from Matthew 20. I struggled to understand it's meaning for a long time; even watching the depiction in this episode didn't help, but your explanation does a lot. Thank you!!
Growing up we sometimes had large student mission groups come to town and they stayed two at each house who had room in the church. It was great even if us kids had to give up our beds and camp in the lounge. 😅🙌

In my opinion, there's a deeper principle illustrated in the Martha versus Mary conflict. Works plus faith is important to balance in my life; God's will for me personally and situationally is more important especially if it involves witnessing and my testimony. Sometimes situations are fluid and if I'm not trying to tune into the Holy Spirit, I can miss the urgency in God's Kingdom for the lost. I'm not sure how to word this, but it's the closest I can say.
The Sermon on the Mount -- "to decrease evil and increase love"? I thought that obedience to what Jesus said was to show Kingdom Living and Who we belong to -- or whole rules and reigns in our hearts.
We Catholics love Mary, but we know she was human. She was pure and without sin, but she was Jesus's mother. Protestants sometimes act as though she was irrelevant, but she was literally the mother of God!
Respectfully, Mary was a sinner, who was chosen to carry God’s Son. She still sinned and get this - she wasn’t a virgin forever. Joseph “knew” her after Jesus was born. They had other children. That’s the beauty of it all. Mary is just like us. Not a saint, but loved and chosen.
Mary was a sinner in need a savior like all others. Jesus never exalted Mary instead he did the opposite he said whoever does the will of My Father is my brother sister and mother when Mary and some of her sons walked up when he was teaching
@@lance9249 The word for 'brother' in ancient Greek was adelphos. This word was very broad - it could mean biological brothers, but also could be kinsmen, and even close friends. Nowhere in the Gospels does it say that James and Joseph were children of the Virgin Mary. The Catholic Catechism and early Patristic Fathers tell us that the 'Mary' referenced in the quote you have above is the "other Mary" Matthew spoke about - a disciple of Christ. She was the mother of Joseph and James, and they were all close relatives of the Blessed Mary and Jesus. So, no, your modern interpretation of ancient language and culture is not convincing to me.
We are missing so many of Jesus followers he sent out not only the 12 but 72 hopefully at least we see Joseph and Matthias soon or Acts of the Apostles is going to going to fall flat when they go to replace Judas. Both should have been followers since Jesus baptism I get the cast is already huge but something would be nice especially Matthias let us see him with Jesus even if it's a single scene.

My grandma too!!!
Beautiful, thanks to you both for sharing! Very encouraging 🤍
She died at 75 but she was literally at the 11:59 hour!
@@all4jesusall4him37 that's wonderful!
I'm just realizing how the scene with Martha and Mary is juxtaposed with the parable of the hired hands. That IS great storytelling.
It's SO good to have you guys back and walking us through the episodes - we missed you here in cold old England!
Thanks for hanging in there with us! We're so happy to be back!
I just wanna say, that food Martha prepared n served to them looks sooo yummy!!!

Love these discussions - great to have you back! You are both a great encouragement- more than you know. Thank you 😊
"Relationships are the meaning of life"...well said.
Loved that He didn't scold her. How many sermons have I heard where she is definitely disparaged.
I just ordered the book you suggested Living From the Heart Jesus Gave You. I read the reviews and I can't wait to read it. Thank you Dr. Tom.
YOU’RE BACK!!! I’ve missed these videos.
Yes!!! We're so glad to be back!

He had to be funny! 😂😂😂😂 Lol, I'm so happy you guys are made in His image! 💖😆
I’m so glad you guys are doing videos! You have such great insights. The Mary and Martha scene is one of my favorites!
I love seeing Jesus follow his own teaching in this episode! 😲🙌🤩

We're so happy to be back!
Hadad is so smarmy 😑. Such a believable antagonist.
Jesus' humor: "And the Word was made flesh, and DWELLED among us." Oh yes He did❣
42:32 Not me sitting on my phone for a minute, got called out very quickly haha
39:55 Amen. Me also. 🙇♀️☝️🙏 His way; not my way.
I can't believe you guys didn't comment on the food Martha was making!!! I want some of that! 😅
Funny how sometimes they travel with stuff and often they only have shoulder bags.

I’m in Kansas City lol
I’m having audio issues.
I'm trying to figure out why the Pharisee calling for Jesus death, is clean shaven. This is strange to me.

Then that rabbinic statement is incorrect, yes, because they did stone Stephan?
They're depicting Lazarus as wealthy why didn't they have servants lol
