There are a number of videos demonstrating how to use the Excel solver already on the web. Here I focus on an example of modeling scientific data using the add in.
You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Davion Fabian thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Great video! Very explanatory. My van Deemter plot is not coming out right at all though. My experimental H values do not descend and ascend like your data.
The B terms is 2DL where D is the diffusion coefficient in the mobile phase and L is the length of the column. That assumes Gaussian peak shapes and I have never tried to assess diff. coefficients from chromatography so I cannot attest to the precision and accuracy of this approach.
Thank you very much! This was exactly the explanation I was looking for. Very well set out and easy to follow!

@Carl Leon instablaster =)

@Davion Fabian it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account!
@Carl Leon Glad I could help :D
allah razı olsun hiçbir yerde yoktu çok işime yaradı
Would u please show how to enter the formula
Thanks. Can you tell or make a video on how to set-up the changing value cells?

Isn't the model that you used here the reduced van Deemter equation?
What if I want to calculate the diffusion coefficient of my analyte?

Very helpful
Thanks mate
The question would be: how to find the correct equation to fit raw data.
