Yep. I remember tearing up riverbeds and ocean floors for clay blocks to smelt them as there was no other way to obtain it in survival.
figured it had to be hardened clay, was really confused for a second.
35:11 fishing rods didn't catch fish yes because was not fish added into Minecraft but you use it to catch crates i heard & saw some TH-camrs catch them but when fish where add it is now rare to!
The oak wood could be placed with /setblock, and ONLY with /setblock.
Also, you do know that /toggledownfall was removed in 1.13, right?

i enjoyed this one. it was a change from the others.
comparators were added in 1.5!
right so pumpkin was changed to have face in like 1.6 or 1.7 in halloween, and mojang liked the texture so they didn't change it back, but before it didn't have a face. the 1.13 update fixed all that and made the carved pumpkin block as its own seperate block, with the pumpkin with face textures, while the pumpkin block likely got new textures or the old one back.
basically, *carved* pumpkin is new, carved pumpkin texture hasn't changed since it was borrowed, and regular pumpkin is back to the original texture.
also, i miss hardened clay... jrodean changed to teracotta so quickly and i'm sad
Comparing this to my own map/sticking with more which doesn't belong maps was interesting.
Jardon... Redstone update... 1.5... comparators
First off, comparators were not the same update as chain command blocks. The chain command block's conditional feature (used quite often) was made with them to replace the necessity of the comparator.
Also, the 6 sided log did exist before the update "implementing" it. It was from a special data value for a block. But it still existed as a fundamental part of the code that was fully in the game; just not acquirable without commands even with creative mode.
This video has me so nostalgic for old Minecraft and the early years of Jordan

Jordan is correct about how you could get 6 sided logs earlier on in the game.
the debug stick doesn't exist in the creative inventory, you need to do "/give @s debug_stick" left and right clicking on a block with the debug stick will cycle through block state options so you can have, for example, a singular floating piston head much easier than doing /setblock
6 sided oak has been available as a /give command in Creative mode for a long time, which is how map makers and such are able to build with them.
Wait, what? Six-sided oak wood been since version 1.3? Excuse me, map maker, but that's DIRECTLY contradict your previous answer with pumpkin! (Pumpkin without face also did exist before it was craftable. So map maker's only excuse for pumpkin is that it was renamed, EXCEPT map maker ignores terracotta rename!)

You could get the 6 sided with the /setblock I believe
Even before setblock, you could get the 6 sided log through NTB editing or MCEDIT iirc. Also there was a glitch in like TU8 to get it on Xbox (360 was the only console version at this time)
It's just a simple data value back then, don't need fancy setblock/nbt edits, a simple /give will suffice.
This also applies to things like smooth double stone slab, though i don't remember if you could give that one, but you can worldedit that one definitely.
If i remember correctly, it was log with data value between 13-16.
you were able to get oak bark blocks using /give, /setblock, and mcedit before 1.13, there were many many structures especially in servers that used the bark block in their builds
I don't know any of these things because the last time I played was about 1.7

2011-2012 was the peak for Minecraft.
@@Bestgameplayer10 actually 2011-13 was the peak. 2013 was the year Minecraft was at it's peak according to Google Trends. Also it was the year it hit 10 million sales. The next year Microsoft bought Mojang followed by a year and a half of no updates, effectively killing that momentum.

Terracotta was Hardened Clay. It sadly succumbed to this new fad at Mojang of renaming & retexturing everything.

This would be the history test if schools used Minecraft to teach students.
minecraft 1.0.0 was prereleased as beta 1.9. it started like a week after 1.8 and both updates were considered part 1 and 2 of the adventure update so the two updates blend together for me personally.
This was a really good map.

Ok map creator you go of of how the pumpkin changed but you say that terracotta is 1.6 even tho it was called red stained clay at first it didn't change to terracotta until about 1.11/1.12

Hi there, I'm the map creator. The "Carved Pumpkin" is considered a new block. I'm not basing it's version around it's texture or it's name. The original "Pumpkin" block was given a new texture (without a face), but it's still considered the old block from back in the day.
The terracotta answer isn't base around it's name change, but the block itself.

Just a small thing here but Terracotta wasn't specifically *red* stained clay. It was just called stained clay. There was a red variant, as with all colours, but you didn't have "blue red stained clay."
