4 Soft and Spicy Du-bu(Tofu) Dishes🍲 [Wife's Cuisine]

  • Some days you want to enjoy a delicious and hearty home cooked meal. When you feel that way, try cooking with nutrient rich tofu! At Wife’s cuisine, we prepared a bubbling and refreshing salted pollack roe and tofu stew, sweet and sour tofu just as good as pork, a perfect meal of mapo tofu, and lastly a sizzling dish of spicy braised tofu.
    ☞ [Salted Pollack Roe and Tofu Stew Recipe]
    -Ingredients : 80g Salted pollack roe, 1/2 Tofu, 1/3 Zucchini, 1/4 Onion, 1/4 Green onion, 1/2 Hot chili pepper, 1/2 Red pepper, 3 Cups of anchovy broth
    -Seasoning : 1/2tbsp Salted shrimp, 1/2tbsp Miced garlic
    1. Wash salted pollack roe gently in salt water, then cut into 2cm long pieces.
    2. Cut the tofu, zucchini, and onion into bite-sized pieces, and slice green onion, hot chili pepper, and red pepper diagonally.
    3. Bring the kelp and anchovy broth and seasoning ingredients to a boil for 3 minutes.
    4. When it boils, add onion and zucchini and continue to boil.
    5. Lastly, add green onion, red pepper, salted pollack roe, and tofu and bring to a boil.
    (Add a little salt or salted shrimp to season.)
    ☞[Spicy Braised Tofu Recipe]
    -Ingredients : 1+1/2 Tofu, 1/2 Green onion, 1 Onion, 1 Hot chili pepper, 1 Cup of anchovy broth, Sesame seeds
    -Soy sauce seasoning : 3tbsp Soy sauce, 2tbsp Cooking wine, 1tbsp Red pepper powder, 1tbsp Sugar, 1/2tbsp Minced garlic, 1tbsp Sesame oil, Pepper
    1.Cut the tofu into bite-size pieces, season with a little salt and pepper, and leave it for 10 minutes.
    2.Slice green onion and hot chili pepper diagonally and shred onion thickly. Mix the seasoning ingredients in a bowl.
    3.Put some oil in a heated pan and bake the tofu back and forth until golden.
    4.Place the chopped onions on top of the tofu in a pot and boil for 5 minutes with the kelp and anchovy broth and soy sauce seasoning.
    5.Add the green onion and the hot chili pepper, simmer over low heat for 3 minutes, then sprinkle sesame seeds.
    ☞ [Sweet and Sour Tofu Recipe]
    -Ingredients : 1 Tofu, 1/4 Pineapple, 1/2 Red onion, 4 Wood ears mushroom, 1 Green, red pepper, 1 Garlic, 1/2 Ginger, Black seeds, Cooking oil, Sweet rice flour
    -Seasoning : 2tbsp Soy sauce, 3tbsp Corn syrup, 3tbsp Vinegar, 2tbsp Sugar, 1/3 Cup of water
    -Starch water : 2tbsp Water, 1tbsp Starch
    ☞ [Mapo Tofu Recipe]
    -Ingredients : 1 Tofu, 150g Minced pork, 1/2 Onion, 1 Red pepper, 1 Green pepper, 1/3 Green onion, 1 Spring onion, 2tbsp Chili oil, 1 Cup of water, 1/2tbsp Sesame oil
    -Seasoning : 2tbsp Cooking wine, 1+1/2tbsp Dubanjang, 1tbsp Soy sauce, 1/2tbsp Red pepper powder, 1/2tbsp Sugar, 1/2tbsp Minced garlic, 1/4tsp Ginger powder, Salt and pepper
    -Starch water : 2tbsp Water, 2tbsp Starch
    1.Cut the tofu into 2cm diameter pieces, add some salt to boiling water, blanch tofu for 1 minute, then strain the water out.
    2.Chop onion, red pepper, and green pepper finely and chop the green onion into small pieces.
    3.Put the chili oil in a heated pan, then add green onion, red pepper, and onion to stir-fry. Then, add the ground pork and seasonings. When the pork is cooked, add green pepper and water then boil for 2 minutes.
    4.When the sauce starts to boil, add tofu and a little bit of starch water, then add sesame oil and turn off the heat.
    5 Put the rice on a plate and pour the mapo tofu on top and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
