The Hoover Dam tour looked fascinating! Wasn’t the dam also used in an episode of Nightrider and St Andreas , but I could be wrong 😀. My Dad used to work for an American Company on the Isle of Wight that built gas turbines.
Just sitting watching your blog and bringing back memories of a wonderful vacation. Been down to the bottom of the Hoover Dam which was amazing. Made me hungry for breakfast when I saw you lovely salad. Enjoy.
I don’t know how I’ve only just found you guys but I’m now addicted! I absolutely love your vlogs, 2 down to earth guys that just make me wanna watch more and keep me laughing! Thank you 😊
You guys are an awesome couple. I stumbled across your videos about this trip to America and I throughly enjoy your personalities and your adventures together. I actually told my girlfriend that I would love to hangout with you both. It would definitely be a ton of laughs Thank you both
Wow the hoover dam looks unreal... ya I get that vibe from the video I think Las Vegas looks so busy it would scare me but I still love to go and see it but for like a stop over on another trip...
Another good one..Freemont St is over the top...too busy, but we love the strip, take the express bus to the premium outlets north from the side of NY ny....
Thanks for taking us down into the dam. I've never taken the dam tour. I've only been on top of the dam. Next time, I think I'll go, thanks to your vlog. I hope you were able to go down into the lowest floor of the tropicana. They had some wonderful pictures on the hallway walls of when the Tropicana was just built- the first years. They're so fascinating. I can't wait to watch more. Your Vlogs give me ideas of what we need to do in future trips.
I think I would’ve enjoyed the trip to Hoover Dam more than any part of being in Las Vegas. At least it was quieter! I don’t think I realized that it was on the state line between Nevada and Arizona.
I got more excited that the Transformers were there in the first film! Hasn't changed much since we were there in 2011. Thanks for the memories guys. 🙏✌️
Oh wow, I was last in Vegas in 1980 and woah it`s changed a lot, there`s no way I could cope with that! To be fair though, Bazza`s vlog seemed less hectic, I think it depends on where you go and they`re old hands at this!
Didn’t realise hoover dam was a short driving distance from vegas. Enjoyed all the engineering facts. Made me laugh “you’ve said that 3 times! - it’s not real you know” 🤣🤣🤣xxx
Thanks for another vlog guys. Took me back to 2007 when I visited Hoover dam with my now Hubby. Our first trip to America together and one I won't forget. Loving your vlogs. ❤️THANK YOU xx
Brilliant-such an experience-although at times there is something to be said for less is more. As ever, thank you for these Vlogs, very much appreciated.
Love how excited Nick is at the hoover dam , great vlog x totally agree with you vegas is loud and full on , 3 days is more than enough for us ! No wish to return as we’ve been three times lol
People are so interesting in what captures their imagination. Nick is like my husband and sons, very interested in the science and how and why something works. I am more interested in how it looks, the scenery around it .. and the food and drinks, of course. Very pleased that others make everything work well, and I will take pictures of it or paint it.
Oh Leigh I felt queasy looking into the Dam on TV . Can’t imagine what you felt like actually being there. It was a really informative video , what a feat of engineering it must’ve been to build it. I loved Fremont St when I went. But it was nowhere near as busy as that. The boxing match must’ve brought in extra crowds. There were no groups playing in fact there was only music every so often when the roof lit up. Did you notice that the heart attack cafe had a weigh-bridge outside to check if people weighed more than 350 pounds? 😮😂
I did google it and it is still illegal to openly smoke whacky backy in the streets, public areas and hotels so they must be pretty relaxed with the rules, but you are allowed to smoke it in licenced coffee shops and have an ounce in your possesion
Your trip to Fremont Street reminds me of our first visit in 1987. We were newly married, and my husband was a flight doctor for an F-15 sq in Washington. They had a flight training week there near Las Vegas. We stayed in a great hotel in town and visited the dam and around the city at night. We were young, and beautiful in our opinion, and newly married. We had a great time there. We ate at the Brown Derby, very famous from all the old Vegas movies.
I have to agree with Nick, the Hoover Dam looked absolutely fascinating, but Oh my goodness How HIGH is it. Must have been an awesome sight to see. Never been to Vegas, I have never seen so many people in one place. It would freak me out. Thanks for sharing your trip. I would have no clue what to do with the slot machines
Loved Hoover Dam when we went in 2015, sadly the vistor centre was closed when we got there. Your reaction to Fremont was the same as mine. We stayed for a bit and i got a bit overwhelmed by the madness and we went back to the strip!!!! The way you described Fremont as the scene from Total Recall had me crying laughing 🤣🤣🤣
I was a bit like that with New York. There was never a quiet minute. Even the whole night was filled with car noise and sirens. I was exhausted after nine days there.😂 . Haven’t been back since.
Jeeez the Hoover Dam is definitely somewhere I won’t visit now. I felt feelings of nausea and tingles in places I shouldn’t have felt looking down there. 😅 So scary! But thank you for showing us. Great Vlog guys ❤
Absolutely crackers. I had a real tough time with the crowds. Loved your boat trip and the tour of Hoover Dam. We had planned to do that but they were still building the bridge and approach roads (we were coming from Arizona) and it took forever due to roadworks. By the time we parked and got out the car it was 115F (46C) so straight back into the aircon of the car but we got to drive over the dam. There are concerns if the drought continues the water level may dropped too low for the turbine intakes.
The Hoover Dam, Nick your so knowledgeable you could have done tour lol, it made me dizzy looking over, prettified of heights, can’t believe how it all smells of weed, is it legal there, it’s so lively loved this vlog as always, stay safe guys ❤️❤️
You forget how big Hoover Dam is. I'm like Leigh the height would make me feel nauseous. Looks like fun but there's too much people. Really enjoying the videos.✌️👍
Oh what a shame you haven't enjoyed Las Vegas. It is mad and very loud and I bet its super expensive rtnw. You should have seen a show and planned some nice places to eat on a night. You also should have done a zip line.
Just watching the Vegas trip again and when you went past the Airport, did you know that the planes with the red stripe on them transport workers to Area 51. They're not allowed to drive in but get a plane ride every morning.
Wasn't that dam the same dam from a San Andre's too & transformers , I know alot of movies & tv series have filmed there but there the two I remember apart from superman But I'm sure a bond movie was also a part in it
Don't ever go near the edge of something tall again! My legs were like jelly when Nick was messing about on the railings of the observation deck 😱🤢😵💫😆
30 years ago on our honeymoon we went to Caesars Palace and decided that we must have a bet so being beginners limited to $5. We won $150 !! Beginners luck, we quit while we were ahead. Vegas is mental.
Imma sum up these Vegas vlogs for everyone…”sniff sniff oh it smells of marijuana” “sniff sniff we are gonna get stoned” 😂 😂 “it was like a woman with 3 boobs” 😂 just love you guys!
Andy was as excited in the Hoover Dam as you Nick and me and our kids got fed up waiting for him as he read all the notices. Sad how 96 died building it. The Fremont experience was like nothing we had seen when we went there years ago and Andy and the kids went on the rides on top of the Stratosphere which was too scary for me
Did you know that the whole time you were playing that fruit machine at the Lobby Bar you could have been getting free drinks. You don’t ever have to pay for drinks just play those cheap games.
If you had flown in you might have felt differently, but because you had driven cross-country and were away from people on that 6 hour drive it was probably full-on culture stimulus overload
I think orange is one of those colours that is supposed to be aggravating. They are probably trying to bully you out of your room so you go spend money in the casino.
Put a hundred in the slots next time and you might play for an hour. And you get free drinks while playing. Funny watching this blog while I’m in London.
Wow, I thought going down WDW Mainstreet after the fireworks was crazy...LOL. The Hoover Dam tour was so educational. Thanks
The Hoover Dam tour looked fascinating! Wasn’t the dam also used in an episode of Nightrider and St Andreas , but I could be wrong 😀. My Dad used to work for an American Company on the Isle of Wight that built gas turbines.

Welcome to the Lodge Guys family, Kerry😊🎉
You guys are an awesome couple. I stumbled across your videos about this trip to America and I throughly enjoy your personalities and your adventures together. I actually told my girlfriend that I would love to hangout with you both. It would definitely be a ton of laughs
Thank you both
Watching all the road trip again. I do enjoy your travel vlogs .
🍹💰 fun days , looks great 👍 thanks for the vlogs guys 😁🇦🇺🙋♀️
Yay you went on the Dam tour and made a Dam vlog of it. 😉
I loved fremont street!! I was standing there, beer in hand of course, with my mouth open,,,WOW!
Wow the hoover dam looks unreal... ya I get that vibe from the video I think Las Vegas looks so busy it would scare me but I still love to go and see it but for like a stop over on another trip...
Wonderful factual beautifully filmed vlog. Never thought it was so close to Vegas.
That looked awesome at the Hoover Dam xxx it was making me feel queasy just watching you near the edge xx
Another good one..Freemont St is over the top...too busy, but we love the strip, take the express bus to the premium outlets north from the side of NY ny....

Thank you for sharing. I always wanted visit Hoover. I would have died in the heat. 🤪
hahah! I love Nicks description of Fremont street at the end!! I feel anxiety just watching. Love you Guys!
We loved Fremont street, never saw the Hoover Dam close up, so Thankyou for that, enjoying these vlog x
I think I would’ve enjoyed the trip to Hoover Dam more than any part of being in Las Vegas. At least it was quieter! I don’t think I realized that it was on the state line between Nevada and Arizona.
Something to look forward to later in your trip: gas near my house in Frisco, TX (suburb north of Dallas) is currently $3.05/gal.
I got more excited that the Transformers were there in the first film! Hasn't changed much since we were there in 2011. Thanks for the memories guys. 🙏✌️
❤ I am loving watching these vlogs. We have done both LA and Florida but not the bit in between
Oh wow, I was last in Vegas in 1980 and woah it`s changed a lot, there`s no way I could cope with that! To be fair though, Bazza`s vlog seemed less hectic, I think it depends on where you go and they`re old hands at this!

Thanks for the Hoover Dam vlog, looks like a great experience 😊 the more I see of Vegas, the more doubts I have about visiting 😮
Felt the same way about Fremont street crazy we left early enjoy the rest x
Loved all the Hoover Dam info and facts and seeing inside. Awesome
Never got to go on the Dam tour when we visited so thanks very much for your vlog
Love how excited Nick is at the hoover dam , great vlog x totally agree with you vegas is loud and full on , 3 days is more than enough for us ! No wish to return as we’ve been three times lol
What a fantastic vlog. 👏 thanks I'm like you Nick so impressed by the dam. this vlog as so impressed me.
Funny you mentioned Biff from Back to the Future. The Plaza Hotel on Fremont Street was used as Biffs Hotel in Back to the Future 2.
One hotel at freeman's always reminded me of the hotel in back to the future 2
Oh you wanna go on the boat at niagara Falls, they also have a limit for boats, but don't forget your poncho 🙈🙈🙈
Wow! What hustle and bustle!
It's a very busy place
Wow the Hoover Dam tour looked fascinating, it was making my tummy flip over and I wasn’t even there 😂!! Great vlog guys xx
Just started watching you both , so entertaining and uplifting.x
Thank you
Brilliant x been going vegas for 10 years before covid xx we always stay excalibur xx enjoy both xx

Brings back memories from when we have been to Vegas, last time we went to Death Valley and Hoover Dam. Love these vlogs 😀
Wow fascinating vlog. Kind of scary to think lake mead was just beyond that wall. Wouldn't want to be there if it burst...
I did google it and it is still illegal to openly smoke whacky backy in the streets, public areas and hotels so they must be pretty relaxed with the rules, but you are allowed to smoke it in licenced coffee shops and have an ounce in your possesion
It smelt of it everywhere!
It’s been years since I went but the overriding memory was that it was sensory overload 😂 I could only cope for a few days xx
When we stayed in Las Vegas we stay at stardust (no longer there) from our window we saw them put the dot on the Winn's sign

They can't build big hotels far South because of the Airport. Back,in the early 90's we last did the Hoover Dam tour. Brought back many memories.
Freemont St is great !! Usually some good bands.
I hated Fremont street when I went to Vegas , didn’t feel safe x loved Las Vegas though x hoover dam looks good x
I was a bit like that with New York. There was never a quiet minute. Even the whole night was filled with car noise and sirens. I was exhausted after nine days there.😂 . Haven’t been back since.
Interesting stuff guy's your commentary is 👍👍
Jeeez the Hoover Dam is definitely somewhere I won’t visit now. I felt feelings of nausea and tingles in places I shouldn’t have felt looking down there. 😅 So scary! But thank you for showing us. Great Vlog guys ❤
**For massive breakfasts, try any of the BLUEBERRY HILL RESTAURANTS. Good prices and you can easily share.

We have only done Sunday to Friday in Vegas no way couldI cope with it at weekend, its manic.
The Hoover Dam, Nick your so knowledgeable you could have done tour lol, it made me dizzy looking over, prettified of heights, can’t believe how it all smells of weed, is it legal there, it’s so lively loved this vlog as always, stay safe guys ❤️❤️
Think it's legal there. It is in california for sure
Our friend announced today that they had got married in the Belagio!
You also should have done a zip line.
was at hoover dam November last year
Was it cold?
@@TheLodgeGuysIt was a nice warm day not too hot like it can get there
Just watching the Vegas trip again and when you went past the Airport, did you know that the planes with the red stripe on them transport workers to Area 51. They're not allowed to drive in but get a plane ride every morning.
That's really interesting to know 👍
The Hoover Dam looked amazing, I would definitely do that…. But Vegas itself looks absolutely crazy, I don’t think I could do it 😂

Love Fremont ❤ get some Mardi Gras beads round ya neck & a yard of Fat Tuesday’s & boogie the night away 😂 bloody crazy place 😂😂
Vegas is always better after a few drinks! 😂
Lol Vegas sounds like Amsterdam with wacky backy 🤣🤣
Great vlog guys but you know what would have made it even better? If Nick had pointed out where Superman rescued Jimmy Olsen at Hoover Dam…
Wish we had thought of that 😂
So glad I watched this. I now know that I will never go to Vegas😂😂
I love Vegas but don’t love Fremont. Also Vegas is better when you arrive Monday and leave by Friday. The weekends are insane.
Lol & that's why it's called Sin city Nick 🤣🤣🤣
wacky tobacky
Did you know that the whole time you were playing that fruit machine at the Lobby Bar you could have been getting free drinks. You don’t ever have to pay for drinks just play those cheap games.
Never thought about that with it being a bar anyway. We know you can do that at the main slots
If you had flown in you might have felt differently, but because you had driven cross-country and were away from people on that 6 hour drive it was probably full-on culture stimulus overload
Was fine once we settled in
The driving standards look better than the UK 🇬🇧
I think orange is one of those colours that is supposed to be aggravating. They are probably trying to bully you out of your room so you go spend money in the casino.

Oh Diva is a drag queen, everyone I know been & said I great show but manilow is at the Westgate very posh hotel tho
Put a hundred in the slots next time and you might play for an hour. And you get free drinks while playing. Funny watching this blog while I’m in London.
