I'm not sure how young your son is, so this pay not apply, but you don't have to be happy all the time in front of him. Kids are smarter than people give them credit for, they pick up on mood changes or voice tones even if you try to fake it. My father has passed now, but my favourite memories of him was when he was honest with me; he'd open up to me about the pain he felt and we became so much closer because of it. He never sheltered me from normal human emotions, even while I was really young, and to this day I couldn't be more grateful. Good luck to you, the way you speak of your son is beautiful, I'm sure you're an amazing father.
Oh dear, this comment resonates with me a lot. In a world of superficial relationships I’ve been lucky enough to find my other half (a lifetime ago). But I don’t think we’ll end up together. So why not channel all my love to my future children and parents.

For me, The Cure will always be the best band ever, but I enjoy listening to covers of songs I like, as long as they are tasteful and respect the original. I think Adele just hit the spot there! Still, this isn't even one of my favourite The Cure's songs (far from it), so I guess I don't know how I would react if she tried some other song... ;)
