    I've been living the Barefoot lifestyle for over 8 years now. I am also vegan, use reusable bags and I have been using cloth toilet paper and cloth paper towels for over 8 years now. I wish more people lived this way. It helps the planet and I'm healthy since I live barefoot. I'm glad to discover that you also live a barefoot lifestyle.

    Your toes have a great spread. after being in shoes for 60 years my toes have been permanantly deformed. some improvement over the last 3 years but they will never be as they should. I am glad for you that you came to this realization before it was too late for your feet and even more for your kids. Its criminal how the shoe industry has convinced parents to torture, harm and deform their kids feet and heath.

      Thanks! I'm considering buying some toe spacers for this summer to really help. I fully agree with you.
      My dad, who is 65, started wearing Japanese ninja shoes after one of my siblings lived in Japan for a while. It made a big difference for him. If you're ever interested, you should check them out.

    My 4 yr old daughter and I are always barefoot! We don’t wear shoes if we can help it! Barefoot shoes when we do. I literally had to get rid of all my old shoes, I just can’t anymore! Grounding and barefoot all the way! Also I totally relate to oogling over your kids beautiful feet 😂 , Love your channel 💕

      I love Softstar’s leather bottomed moccasins for my little’s feet, also xero shoes for more sneaker type. For me, I’m loving my softstar primal sawyers because of the suuuper wide toebox!

      @OurMessyHouse  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DuryeaAndWild Those shoes with the wider toe box look interesting. I'd like to check them out. Also, do you think these moccasins are suitable for rainy and cold weather? We live in a primarily rainy/cold climate.

    • @DuryeaAndWild
      @DuryeaAndWild 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OurMessyHouse no the moccasins I wouldn’t recommend for wet/cold but I personally have used custom made full leather higher over-the ankle moccasins with a rubber tread for cold wet and snow and they were great! Unfortunately they don’t fit me anymore and I sold them since really focusing on my barefoot feet shape and “growth” lol but something I would definitely look into again for myself! For kids, softstar does make a somewhat over the ankle high with rubber tread but im sure there are other brand options out there! If I come across any I’ll definitely keep you in mind!

    I am a 71 year old man who discovered going barefoot just over a year ago. Since discovering barefoot walking I am almost always barefoot. I hike barefoot and walk in the park grass for exercise, I drive and I go into most stores barefoot. I love being barefoot and hate having to give into shoe culture. However, I am not opposed to wearing shoes and I have several pairs. I just want the freedom to go barefoot when and where I want to.
    My feet have toughened nicely and I am getting more comfortable with gravel and other rough surfaces. Wish I could of discovered the joy and benefits of going barefoot 50 plus years ago.👣👣

      Honestly, no! Can I ask if you're afraid to live life without gloves on? It is very much the same. We touch things every day that carry the very same germs we are afraid to step on.

      With my pleasure, dear @@OurMessyHouse 😊
      In fact, humans have evolved barefoot and the feet are well-equipped to handle any problems they might encounter on the ground. Aside from accidentally stepping onto something that might be painful (e.g. a Lego) you’ll be fine. In fact, it’s much healthier to go barefoot, than to let your foot sweat inside your shoe, creating a dark, damp and warm environment, perfect for the growth of bacteria and fungi.
      Aside from that, your average modern shoe is too narrow for the human foot, meaning it will compress and eventually deform your foot causing all kinds of issues.
