Nostalgia can certainly hit hard! 'Butterfly' still gives me chills when I hear it, especially if I'm not expecting it. Digimon has some great music and sounds. I even use the 'Digivice tone' as my phone's message tone sometimes. XD
I mean I had to give a thumbs up to this video. It shows the time and effort that is put into creating the world of Digimon. I have never been that big of an anime fan but Digimon holds a place near and dear to my heart!
And THAT'S WHY I've always LOVED Digimon. As opposed to other popular anime like Dragon Ball and Pokemon they show IRL Locations from Japan which people can actually visit (or at least experience if they live far far away which is the case with me)
Ooedo Onsen (11:08) has sadly closed down on September 5th 2021 due to leasing regulations of the land. Palette Town and Venus Fort complex (10:44 - 11:02) has also closed down for redevelopment. Sad news for Digimon fans - I hope some of you got to visit these places while they were still around. if the multiverse theory is correct that gave rise to the inflation, then yes it could be plausible for a universe with physics that we see in digimon to exist. i wouldn't be embarrassed at all to say digimon is better, at least for the anime.

Really nice video, congatz man . It is amazing. I visited Japan in April and visited most of the places you showed in this video. I loved Digimon as a kid and i still do. I just wanna mention 1 place that i didn't see on your video, and that's from Digimon Tamers, guilmon's "home" (also Taichi's apartment in Odaiba where there were some colorful like gates dunno exactly how to describe it) . Guilmon's place is located at Shinjuku , in the same park you showed Takato's teacher helping him with the policeman. But it doesn't matter. Awesome video. Hope to get to Odaiba soon again. The only location i didn't investigate much was Hikarigaoka because sadly the place i was staying was about 2 hours far... Anyway congratulations again, perfect video almost made me cry. Wanna return to Japan asap. Thanks again.
Thanks so much! I did attempt to find Guilmon's home, but I found that it was quite inaccurate to the way it was portrayed in the show. It was often shown up on a hill, and while I found a place that looks like it... it wasn't accurate enough for me to deem it as correct, so I didn't include it in the video. I know the colourful gate things you're talking about. :3 I'm not sure why I didn't include those, perhaps I didn't have a good comparison shot at the time... but I filtered through so many that some were bound to be left out. Another one I missed was Shinjuku crossing where a battle took place in Tamers. I have since returned to Odaiba and stayed there again since making this video, and I want to go back again (and again!). I truly love that place. It's my favourite place in the world, and I thank Digimon for that. It's a strange feeling of nostalgia, especially the first time visiting. It was weird to think that I could feel nostalgic for a place I'd never been to before. I know how you feel about wanting to go back! I hope you'll get to go back again. Thanks for your comment!
I have the chance to go in 2021... ill relive my childhood moments when Wizardmon gave his life so Kari and Gatomon can be united. Also Gatomon's digivolution.
Haha I dunno! I think it'd be cool though. Imagine being able to walk around outside and remember things that happened in the anime you watched... even if those things are, as you said, pretty much turning the place into a battlefield. xD
You'll see the anime in a different light after going there. For example when they talk about the train lines or when they run arround from place to place, you know the routes they came from, what it takes to get there, what they where seeing while going there, how the places they stay are related in terms of distance, etc. You can basically relate to the characters.
I was there at so many places, just one month before you where. It was soooo exciting! My next trip to Japan (and at least Tōkyō, too) will start at Wednesday. In between these two years I watched Digimon again and found so much more places I also want to visit. But this video is just a nearly perfect reference! I am so looking forward to the week in Tōkyō. I'll definitely catch up with you! But I don't think I've such abilities to make such a great video like yours. ^^ Thank you very much for this great video! DigiDestined for ever!

It's sad that Daikanransha and Ooedo Onsen are gone now, but Odaiba is still very special. I just watched your video too! Love it!
