I have the CVA 6805, which is great, but the attraction of this machine is the multiple bean options. I was waiting for you to show the brew unit, because they've used the same non-Miele one for over twenty years and I wanted to see if it had changed!
Can Germans make coffee machines on Italian levels, easy i need most ! Great machines if you are not willing to make it yourself, just press the display !
Good that you did a review. compare this to the fancy Italian coffee makers, then it's cheap. Does it servers the best coffee, or is this the most comfortable machine for daily coffee. Big fan of the Nespresso Carousel machines, that is the most practical machine, always as perfect as it should be, always clean. Multiple beans, wow, do I need it ? Not willing to replace the Nespresso machine, make a new hole for it in the exciting kitchen.
I was using a nice but not that expensive Sunbeam/Graef espresso machine: th-cam.com/video/DrCJgcNOGbA/w-d-xo.html After more than ten years it broke down. In all these years I managed to create really good tasting coffee. When on vacation I had the chance to use the predecessor of the CVA 7845. It was the first time, the taste was equally good to the Sunbeam. So I bought the CVA 7845. So in short: The coffee is really gpod and much much much better than those made by the countless Nespresso machine met during travelling.
12 months in. Machine getting a lot of use. We have found that if you keep the machine on (via a schedule) it does much less rinsing. Shame it’s not plumbed into the waste. Setting portion size is a bit crude (why can’t you specify by milli litre?) but got there in the end.
I bought one already from Germany to Taiwan. Got a problem about automatic water supply. Wonder if you happen to know how can I reset the machine to change the way of giving water.
Hi, I have been considering purchasing one of these but I am curious on one thing. it seems many inbuilt or automatic milk frothing systems fail to deliver hot milk like you would get from a manual steam wand. People complain that any milk based coffee (latte, mocha etc) is not warm enough to be enjoyable. Could you please tell me if this is similar for this model?
Hello Daniel. How does it do with making a pot of drip coffee? Does it taste watered down like a Keurig? Or very nice and bold? I prefer drip coffee drinks, whereas others in the family prefer the espresso drinks.
I only tried it once (I do not like drip coffee) but guests tried it more often: It tasted like the drip coffee I do not like. So all should be fine. ;-) It also has a mode which can be used to make large amounts of drip coffee. But regarding Keurig and Co.: With good beans - I am using Danesi Doppio - you will never come back. The three bins make it easy to experiment. So you can use one bin for drip coffee like drinks.
It is more a psychological thing: If you connect the water supply you might have less motivation to check the rest of the machine and to clean it a little bit, each time you are refreshing the water.
I’ve just brought this machine I’m struggling with the touch panel I keep tapping it but nothing happens -it’s not so touch screen as I would like. I can’t change the amount of milk or how much is in my cup it only per set any help would be much appreciated Regards kelly
The little triangle at the progress bar can be adjusted during dispensing. It will change the amount. A long press onto the coffee icon in the "coffee library" will give you options. If you create your own coffee there will be a button to tell it when to stop. The amount will then be saved.
The waste water tank has to be emptied manually, much more frequently than the I have to fill up the water tank. So connecting the tank to the water supply does not make much sense in my opinion. I rather like being forced to check the rest of the machine when refreshing the water. It is a psychological thing...
@@Humuku OK - I'm in the process of getting a slightly used CVA 6805 and as I understand it I can choose whether to connect it to the tap water or not. We'll see.
I am furious that I can't make a single ground coffee any longer. This may have just made my decision to keep my current machine. Having my coffee every morning with using fresh beans will eat up a lot of money on beans. I would rather put a teaspoon of pre-ground coffee into the unit and they have now done away with that. Such a shame and really stupid on their part.
This machine is for people who want freshly ground beans. Yes that is expensive but so is the machine and good coffee itself. You could use instant coffee and the hot water dispensing function.
Great review. You've helped me decide on my built in purchase choice. Thanks!
Thanks. I am still liking it very much.

You can see the brew unit in my other video: th-cam.com/video/GzhiDfO7TqE/w-d-xo.html
@@Humuku bah.... can't quite see it - it looks roughly the same, but difficult to tell.
It is probably the same. It has a yellow handle with a pushbutton for locking and unlocking.

Although the paranoid rinsing is one of the reasons, I bought the machine.
Great tutorial

In the settings menu (gear symbol) there is an entry called watersupply.

It is hot enough for me but it could be hotter for some people only using milk. So I would suggest to try it at a dealer.
Can you use coffee pods or capsules etc?? as well?
Only whole beans.
How do you adjust and dial in the grinder? Dark roast and medium roast needs different grind sizes.
You can't.

Where do you put the tea?
You put the tea into the cup.
I can’t figure out how to change the amount of coffee and the amount of froth per cup!
You can change this when the coffee is made.
I'm not sure I understand why connecting it to the fresh water supply is not a good idea. Can you explain this a bit further?

This is the worst product Miele has to offer - high maintenance and constantly breaks down
So far it did not break down. What broke in your case?
