It's slightly irritating to see people come up there and think they are going to get HIGHEST POSSIBLE ASKING PRICE when they are selling to someone who is going to resell them. If you want the most money possible then you need to do the work yourself and either open up a storefront/set up a booth or wait and wait and wait for someone to buy them. Either way, thinking you are going to be able to sell your shoes to a reseller for top dollar is just silly, especially when they aren't super rare or sought after.

Okay trying on a shoe does NOT un-deadstock a shoe! You buy from online retailers (like Footlocker or many others) you WILL buy a pair that has been tried on that came off the shelf that they are selling to you as brand new.

I consider trying on: Putting it on foot and standing in front of a floor mirror to see how they look, not walking around the store or your house in it. That of course would disqualify in my opinion.

Most people have no clue how appraisals or pawn stores work. They see what an item goes for and immediately think they can get that price. What they fail to realize is that in order for the store to make money in return they have to offer you a lower price in order to turn around and sell it to make a profit. The majority of the time the profit they get from resale is almost insignificant.
I watched entire vid. I agree with the business ethic there. I do essentially the same thing (albeit i cant cash someone out at 6 or 7 racks) in my kneck of the woods. I love the sneaker biz, would do it if i didnt make $ at it. But i enjoy bringing back to life some that most ppl would mow yard in or toss em.
