With the Cotton Club in the background and you dressed as a 1920s flapper you totally immersed yourself in the video..very cool....the first time i saw this on tv i must have been about 5,,many ..many yrs ago lol...its still the greatest thing ive ever seen

The thing that I couldn't help but notice wasn't the number of splits they performed, but the fact that every time they did a split, they would rise back to their feet on nothing but the strength of their legs. They must have had thighs made of iron.

Absolutely no rehearsal. They "felt" each other's moves that much.

OMG -Nicholas Brothers -as said below.. Fred Astaire was humble... as good as he was, also, Gregory Hines... awesome dancer from a young age.. said that someone told him that he and his brothers would be "the next Nicholas Brothers" - he said he didn't know of them at the time -- but as soon as he saw them he realized: "there will NEVER be another Nicholas Brothers" :)

No joke, these guys were Michael and Janet Jacksons dance instructors. Michael even did a performance with them in 1977 and they still had the moves! Just goes to show even the giants stand on the shoulders of giants!

I believe in one Janet Jackson performance, they came onto the stage in the middle of JJ routine, and perform they dance to which JJ did a "we are not worthy salute" to them.

FINALLY, a someone raised right, IMMEDIATELY recognizes Cab! I'm new to your channel. Don't know if doing just AfAm things from the day (Duke, the Count, Ella, Billie), but do you know Tampa Red? Lot of black music had trouble finding labels because their music was deemed too sexual. Tampa Red playing stride guitar became famous for the double entendre, most famously song, Can I play With Your Poodle? to bypass the censors.
