In 2012, the Stay Up Forever crew came to the Schietgang (Fort 8) in Hoboken, Belgium as a part of the SUF 100 tour. Imagine an old fort, narrow hallways, dark corners, sweaty dancefloor and pounding acid techno through the speakers. Such a party. Absolutely beautiful, youngsters and techno veterans alike riding the distorted basslines only they can drop. No elitism, no hate, no fighting,... No narcisstic artists but real blokes, with real skills and real love for their music and party culture. Enjoying the party, talking with the crowd. Everyone was there to have fun and indulge. Hearing this classic makes me nostalgic, it takes me back to a simpler time in my life where I didn't have a care in the world, party all weekend from the Petrol club in Antwerp to Decadance in Ghent (or 'steegske if you needed gabber kicks to stay awake), meeting interesting, weird, eccentric people while having a beer or passing a spliff. I mean, I have a lot going for me in my life now and I absolutely adore my kids but damned if I didn't feel all warm inside thinking about those days. A-A-A-A-Acid techno!

But that does not apply to miss Rackitt and it would be half of a problem if she was not a SUF general manager. If you want to book some SUF dj's - at first you are happy because you heard that they play for affordable money, but yo, it only looks good, you call to the agency and you understand that there is no other way to talk to miss Rackitt than hiring a professional translator. Translator costs money and eventually you pay a lot for all the SUF djs thing but the worst thing is your miserable feeling while talking to miss Rackitt with a translator, because the the words are simple like tomorrow, money, performance - but you realise that you will be never ever able to talk to miss Rackitt!!!
