    What do you recommend for if your last job had a personality mismatch between the nanny and the parents which made it challenging to work together…. How would I word this in an interview while looking professional and not bad mouthing the family?? Thank you so much!

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't think it is badmouthing a family to say the role was not a good personality fit and that you are looking for a new position that matched your values and personality better.

    First of all, love your videos. I was wondering how would you answer if you were lucky enough to really never have an emergency while working with the kid?

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question! You can simply say you have been lucky and have not had an emergency with a child. Then describe what you would do in an emergency situation. Call 911, call the parents, calm the child, ect.

    Great videos! I have just recently discovered you and wish I had found you sooner! I would love to know, how would you answer: Tell me about you and your experience as a nanny/tell me a little bit about who you are? So far, I've been answering this question by providing a summary of my work experience, yet I have the feeling that it falls short of what they would like to hear. Please advise :)

    If I’m looking to be a summer nanny (6:18), would that be a good time to mention that I’m in college. I would love to commit to a family for every summer that I’m back, as well as winter breaks since those tend to align, would that be an appropriate response?

  • @goodrising2609

    What to say when we have been away from childcare for a few years and no longer have many references? How do you answer about references ?

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is difficult. At The Nanny Solution we do not work with nannies without references. I would suggest building up your references again. There are many individual families who will hire you without references or mothers helper jobs where one of the parents is around the whole time. Then you can start to build up your references again. Be sure to have strong personal references and other work references that can speak to your character.

    New nanny hear ! I’m struggling how to answer the question “what is your biggest weakest in being a nanny”

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can explain what your greatest weakness is and then explain what you are doing to get better at that task. Everyone has a weakness and something they are working on.

    Hi there,
    I recently sent you my resume, CPR certificate, and other documents. Sometimes I receive emails about potential matches for my resume, but when I apply for those positions, I receive a notification stating that I have already applied. However, I haven't received any calls from your agent. Can you please help me with this?

    If asked why I left my last job should I be open and explain that the family had an unfinished bathroom and I ran into a pipe and fractured my foot? My mom said don’t say that because it might look bad.

    What would you answer for the most common question: Why you like being a nanny?

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it differs for different people? Why do YOU like being a nanny???If you truly love working with kids this one should be easy. Watching children grow and develop, being silly everyday, educating the next generation, no two days are the same, just to name a few that I have heard.

    What if you really have never had an emergency situation with a child? I don't want to lie and make something up.

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely tell the truth. Even something small like a scraped knee or bumped head can be useful to explain how you handled it. Or else you can explain that you have never been in that situation but explain how you would handle something if something did happen.

    • @hannahscott6604

    How do you explain that the reason your last position ended was because the mother lost custody due to you turning her in for child abuse?..

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is a hard one. You can just say you left due to some internal child custody issues.

    If you never had an energency situation you’re not going to invent it.

    • @TheNannySolution
      @TheNannySolution  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. That’s true. Most Nannies who have been working for awhile do have a story. Even if it’s a fall at the park or a child who choked on their food.
