Jay Z is such a generous performer on stage. He gives so much to his audidnce and whoever is on the stage with him and he does it with joy. Im inspired.
The way she expresses her happiness is just the most beautiful thing ❤️
No matter - how many times you listen to this - its an always refreshing experience!
The best!!! It’s a sure thing if you want to be moved
I love NY she represents
So does the man JAY Z
Odlottttt😋😄😁😄👍
Respect from Dublin. Two great artists.
As a native New Yorker I literally breakdown in tears when I hear this song
Here in philippines... Always watching...
Okaaay, relax guy...
not from New York but this song just makes you feel grand and big and proud for the single greatest city in the world
I am not from New York, and I am tearing up right now! such a beautiful city!
Not from there and that song make me feel the same, NYC is the love of my life.
its 2024 ,and this still remains the best live ever!
I feel like no song hits with nostalgia harder for people in their late teens and early 20s
Alec Jimenez you’re completely right. I never even noticed that 😂😂
Your so dam right, I'm not from New York either but I love this song.
Yup! And I was born and raised in NYC. This song is our anthem
Big true
All teens for sure. 2000s was the best decade I've ever lived in.
This is one of the best live performances I have seen. Alicia and Hov made magic with this song. Pure magic!
She’s so goddamn beautiful, no makeup on...
Michael I’m pretty sure she does have makeup on lol She’s still beautiful though.
Richard Li 100x more beautiful than Rihanna...hands down...
Why compare ? They’re both very beautiful women. No comparison is needed.

The world how it was before this awful virus. People in huge crowds enjoying life not worried about social distancing and wearing masks. Ughhh. I miss it so much
It's going to end soon broo!
It’s our own fault. We let the government do whatever they wanted because we are sheep
@@joemv5477 it's not going to end soon bro, not even with the vaccine ready. The virus is now mutating and that means more problems.

When Jay says “Sing Girl, Sing!” at 4:35 mark Alicia’s reaction is the best! What an amazing performance!
a Phantom of the Opera kinda vibe
@@bujo1104 sb ur China bat vibe
My fav part
@@第六排的老弟 I'm not from China bro
Not only that.she didnt think Jay was coming..but if you notice at 18 seconds into the video..you can hear Jayz z do a Mic check..amd he says NEWYORK.
Alicia hears that, then her face lights up, she smiles and laughs..as if to say,,ohh its on now 😃
The positive energy in this performance is magical, one of my favs forever!!💖💫
the reason why Alicia looks so happy when Jay Z came was bc he said he couldn't make it and his flights were delayed... but he made it on time and surprised her!
Omgg, really nice
Bolloooooocks😂still they would have Been nice if true
Whatever the case he definitely made an entrance
Maite Moreno ?
How u know
This song makes me weirdly emotional and I don’t know why. Anyone else?
Yes gurll it makes my heart weirdly ache
Nadira Basir exactly!
i wonder why that is. i feel the exact same.
💖 Emotional tears ... Strange because I live in Midwest with no NYC connections🤷🏿♀️. It looked so organic and authentic. What a great time 🔥 .. for me .. to be BLACKETY-BLACK! 👩🏾👏🏾👊🏾🙏🏾
Hell yeah.
That moment Alicia Keys noticed JayZ walking out to sing was priceless. She didn't expect him to make it on time.
Surprises are just like that ⚡®
I thought I was wrong.. I love this song and talk like I was born there but I've never been to New York ever in my life, I wish I could visit this great city one day.
🥰❤️
Goosebumps straigt outta Germany, even 7 years later ... 1:51 what a great feeling !!! 🥰
Same here.
@amnyusic Cheers 🥂 😉
I always love the imperfection of a live vocal performance...
It makes even better
Yes!
It’s the imperfection that makes it perfect 👌🏻
I love it raw
Wow! These people don't realize how lucky they were to have witnessed this song live in the heart of NYC. This gave me goosebumps!
And they are all on their phones 🤡😔
Don’t know why but I just got so emotional listening to this song now in August 2020. I wish we could just reset the year and make everything better again. I miss New York!
I miss New York too! I've been eight times and was planning my 9th time when this virus hit us all. I have so many wonderful friends there. It truly IS the greatest city on the planet!
Be kind
I wish we could just fast forward this year.....
I've watched the video bout 50 times..still get tears running down my face...I get ya gurl
I was just thinking the same thing
One of the best Live performances ever. And I mean ever. So pure.
Alicia Keys is absolutely beautiful!!
YES
No. She's gorgeous.
Damn hell yes
I bought her first album when I went to junior high. She looks the same after all the years.
She's gorgeous
June 2019 anyone, this song is on repeat 100% 🔥🔥🔥
Royalty Kingsley Oxford yurp
Facttssss
the best
110%
Obsolutely
The goosebumps are real from the moment Jay comes out and the She takes the Key an octave higher. My back went cold with sweat, and it is the middle of winter down here in Southern Africa...damn.
Be too !
Repping SA ✨🇿🇦
The key is actually half a step down from the studio. She’s amazing but it’s not higher
Just came bk fm a 3 week trip to New York. Absolutely agree -- there is no place like New York (despite the cost of living!) and a hugely inspiring place!!... These two are fabulous singers - passion!
Respect for artists who don’t sing with auto tune
Or lip synching
She doesn't need autotune
I'm exercising.
She is the autotune
Sad that you think autotune is meant for bad singers. Go search T-Pain singing live and tell me you dont respect him afterwards..
First time I went to New York ten years ago I listened to this on the plane on the way there from UK and it made me cry because I realised that I’m actually gonna be there in real life in a few hours. It more than lived up to the dream. Will never forget first sight of Manhattan from subway car going through Queens as sun was going down. My favourite place in the world
And a brilliant song, so evocative
Such an amazing city, went there once when I was 12 and I’m supposed to go next year for a grad trip
Beautiful..
I'm glad you had fun! I spent a summer in London and loved it. Hopefully we can travel again soon.
I can relate to that feeling sent for the first time in June 2009, went every year until 2020 and the pandemic ruined things
Never been to NY but this performance makes me Nostalgic about it😁.
The passion about this City is contagious.
Probably the only Contagion we want😊
GREATEST. CITY. IN. THE. WORLD. 💯
@@kevinperneta Someday i will visit it :D
Tomara que algum dia eu visite
same, I've lived in California all my life and been able to visit New York twice, can't wait to go back! People complain about too many people there, but honestly when I was there it was great speaking to the locals and of course the food, all the choices of shows you can see, the artwork and landmarks, it is really fantastic.
please go. The city is everything
visited NY in 2005, amazing, buzzing, did not disappoint and plan to visit again someday
One day I will be walking down the streets of New York living my best life finally being happy and living my dream. God bless everyones dreams.
I've the same dream, God bless Your dream too!
That's the dream...
That’s my dream too, hope to see you there!
I hope your dreams will come true 💓😍🥰

They made history right there and it's pure on their face that they knew it. Magical performance!
What the hell are you talking about? She couldn't even hit the notes ffs.
What history? Lol
Lmaooo me too
No doubt, even as ambitious as they both are, you know neither would be locking down Time Square to perform one of the most iconic songs about NYC that's EVER been recorded.
As much as the audience will remember this I'm sure that HOV and Alicia Keys will remember even more.
@@Tyrone-v2r🎯❤️
Her laugh at 0:23 gives me goosebumps and I love the look on her and the bands faces when he comes out 1:58... it's a priceless moment. Jay is a legend! Four years and counting and this performance is still epic!!!
Everyone thought he couldn’t make it because his flight got delayed. He got there just in time to sing his part😍😍😍😍
4:35 always gets me
Her smile is só Nice. I tremble. Hapiness exists. Omg. Alice gives a lesson of hapiness

It’s like she doesn’t even know he’s coming out, she loves it all with him goosebumps
