    In county Down here, on the fence at the moment about getting a cheap w124 estate (1996 e300 diesel). Seems solid, just needs some tlc. Interesting to see content from NI creators, follow your instagram but first time on your youtube. Keep up the good work.

    den stud breaking happened to me as well, but to be fair, the studs were very crusty I did not clean the rust off, so my fault. I welded a nut behind exactly as you described it and it worked

    Hey I recently discovered your channel, I'm in county Antrim and took a notion for a w124, so I bought one! It's outside Manchester so I fly out on wed to get it and driving it up to Stranraer to get the boat back. It's been in France since the 90s so it's rust free, it's an estate 1992 3.0 diesel, I'm sure it'll get me back with no issues!! love the channel btw 😊

      Ah fair play 😍 you'll not be disappointed! Getting one from a dry climate is very sensible! Health to drive!

    The rear might be lower because your rear sls accumulators have failed, better to find out as I have heard driving with collapsed accumulators is bad for the shocks.

    Love your channel! Can't believe I only found it now. I've owned two W123s (a 200 auto and a 230E manual). Looking for a classic Merc again. Which would you recommend for a daily drive and long distance family car between a 1993 190E, 1985 W123 230E, or a 1990 W124 200/230E?

      We're glad you enjoy! Our recommendation would be the W124 230E for the all rounder, although there are no bad choices there!

    Hello, what did you do with rhe rear hydralic sistem? You cancel ot oe you just put a lower spring?

    • @427Motorsports
      @427Motorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rear had the SLS shocks removed by a previous owner - it’s currently on Ford Ranger Mk1 pickup front shocks in the rear and standard springs :)

      Sorry I know this is a year old post, but can I ask if the ranger shocks are a direct fit to the rear?
      I'm picking up a 124 wagon tomorrow and want to slam it on some cool wheels but had no idea they were sls..

      Direct fit boi, and now I’ve since fitted new springs to the back - very comfy :)

      Thank you!
      From 1990 to 1992 all of our 124s are. Pre facelifts are the way to go!
