So the 2 micro filters are for your water supply. At first I thought you were filtering your drain water, but that's obviously not the case. Some others might be confused given the subject of "drain cleaning". Thanks for the video. Subscribed.
Hey Jeff, I think you're misunderstanding a bit. The drain water is being filtered, this is essentially a 7 stage filter, ending with those micron filters. Even if it goes through the basic solids trap, it still removes enough from the water to have passed my local testing. But the micron filters are for the discharge water. It comes down out of our sink, into the bucket solids trap, then down into the Ryonet filter system - which is the three screens, one more settling stage, and then the sump pump forces it through the micron filters before going to the drain!
Great vid man! I sent you a message on facebook but ill put this here for everyone else to read. Maybe it will help them out. What really helped me was getting a second set of screens and bucket trap so you can replace and clean the dirty screens. Also, get a roll of CCI filter material. Then it doesn’t clog up that green filter and it’s easily replaceable. I don't even use that part and the filter media can fit right inside the screen.
So good, thank you for sharing. I definitely want a 2nd bucket bigger than the 5gal, because the overflow was pretty annoying. I will look into the CCI media because I do like the idea of tossing it out when it dries - can't really keep the green one clean without fully washing it out. So that would probably help keep junk out of the bottom, I think the green thing fills up pretty quick and sends a lot of solids to the bottom of the box.
great Video Corey
Love the channel.. should do a video showing how you guys reclaim your screens.. im always looking for tips..
Thanks Brandan. Reclaim 101 would definitely be a good one! I will keep that in mind for sure. Thank you!!
