heard this while the snowstorm was in full effect, so all the lizards and stuff were running away to take shelter from the cold. made it feel like a threat theme for the blizzard itself.
@@princefoxv fun fact, 12LBS means 12 Lands, Boundless Space... but I also read it as 12 pounds and they always eat my soul every time I call them that >:)
The kick in the background, along with the alarm sounding noises and the fact that even the melody almost sounds like an alert, makes this seem like threat music.
Was interesting to hear this for the first time shortly after finding and leaving Pebbles in the silent construct. I always saw Bio-engineering as representing the determination of the ancients in building this vast, technologically advanced world for themselves, and at the same time this determination being reflected in the slugcat on its own quest, after it's recovered from the shock of suddenly being lost in said hellscape. - Imo this song sees that swelling determination return as the new world pushes forward and takes the place of the ancients' facility, which has largely remained stagnant while refusing to let Pebbles himself rest peacefully. For me this lined up perfectly with my own determination as the Saint to help put Mr Pebbs out of his misery, thereby allowing the old world to be buried under snow, and whatever comes next to hopefully flourish.
Ok. this one... the fact that it plays in the exactly same place as Bio-Engineering, just shows how much the world around you has changed. Renamed regions, complete lack of the rain... all this shows how the time would take everything with it. As the old world dies, the rebirth blossoms an thrives. It's not even Rain World anymore... I just hope that the next civilization would be rebuilt by slugcats and not scavs...
I'm suprised no one is mentioning the sound of rolling railcars that you can hear at the beggining and end. I wonder if that might alude to some cut content or if it was just chosen for a cool soundscape.
@@artificers-predecessornow that you mention it... I guess I was biased by the fact I used to live near a railway and that the sound is so rhythmic. Now I really want to know how the sound was made.

bio engineering overrated imo.
