That will change your model number from Sog01 to ATQ-X52 Single Sim and may also enable wifi calling feature. I think it should support decent 5G as it has 3 bands of airtel 1,77,78 and 2 SA bands from jio 77,78. There are phones in market that claim to support 5G based on 1 band like realme 8 5G, so it should be better than those.
The price still seems ok, when I bought the device, there was only one version available and it was for ₹21.9k. later the superb condition was available for ₹19.9k. If you are in no hurry to buy, maybe you can wait some days and then check the price. Thank you for letting me know about the firmware. I will try that and update as soon as possible.

I don't use this much but the battery life varies on different applications. I usually get 5-7 hours of charge on normal usage. Yes the fingerprint works while charger plugged in.

Yeah, this device does not support VoLTE or WiFi calling. Specifically the SOG01 variant. The global variant does support VoLTE and Wifi calling. If it's necessary, then you can change the device's firmware.

I can give some insights only, since this is a second hand device, it has lost some of its battery life and performance. I get around 6-7+ hours in normal use. I didn't do any gaming test because I don't play mobile games that much, I just played survivor io, and that ran smoothly at its peak levels, since it has a lot of elements at the same time, the device still handles them very well. Maine Airtel use kiya hai aur properly chal raha hai, koi issue nahi aaya. Mere bank me ek issue ke wajah se gpay nahi chalu ho raha, lekin bank ka jo application hai uske through UPI payments kar paa raha hu. Abhi tak koi aur problem nahi face kiya sim aur payment related.

Motorola g52 will have more advantages over the Xperia 10 ii. Specially in India as you may get better network support. G52 is more recent device and you'll be able to get further updates on it. It also has a better on paper battery, camera setup, performance, etc. Sony has it's brand name and some exclusive features like their multimedia functionality and camera features.
Jio sim worked for me, although many users have complained that the Jio sim didn't work, mainly because there is no VoLTE support ( in the sog01 variant). I couldn't check 5g because there is no 5g network near my area.
I'll suggest Pixel 6 for day to day usage. But if you are really interested in a full professional device, especially on camera, I'll suggest the Xperia 1 ii.

I haven't tried Jio sim on this device, but you can try changing some settings of the SIM card. Maybe the access point names, preferred network type. Maybe that could help. And in my device, I wasn't able to connect my bank account to Gpay, but I'm able to make UPI transactions using my bank's official application.

But you can change the firmware to international by installing it from cmd via pc. This will remove all au apps and au logo on startup and may also enable volte.

Both are good options, the Xperia 10 iv is a newer model as compared to Xperia 1 ii. But Xperia 1 ii has better overall performance, display, network connection, etc. Xperia 10 iv has a bigger battery. In my OPINION, if the price difference is less between the two, then you can still go for the Xperia 1 ii.
You're welcome For purchasing I would really suggest you to do more research on both the websites. I bought my device from ovantica, and I'm satisfied with my product. But I've also read many negative reviews. And I really do not have much idea about olx so can't really say much about it. The OLX does have a renew category where they sell refurbished devices.
Both have almost similar specifications, but still xperia 1ii is better at some specs. Xperia 5 ii is a more budget friendly as compared to Xperia 1 ii.
Xperia 1 ii is better if you get it for the same price. I recommend avoiding the 5 ii as it has a major green line issues which some users get unexpectedly, and there is no way to get rid of it.
I haven't faced heating issues yet. Only time I felt the device was heating a little bit was when I was recording videos for an hour straight. But didn't heat very much.
Iss phone me bohot jyada heating issues nahi hai. Bohot jyada heating issues sirf long term 4k video recording ke time laga mujhe, aur games me bhi utna heat nahi hota.
I'm really sorry I couldn't test 5g. It's because the area where I live doesn't have 5g connections yet. If 5g is a priority for you, then I won't recommend this device, it supports only 2 out kf the 9 Indian bands.
I have the Japanese model too, but I do get proper network when there is available. Maybe you can try changing access points from the settings, turning roming on/off, changing preferred network. You may need to play with some of the network settings. Can you provide me some details like which sim you are using and what area you live in, I will try to help you out too.
If you are talking about the Xperia 10 iii, I may not be able to give proper information. Latest Sony devices were not made for the Indian market, so they may lack most of the Indian 5g bands. And also I cannot say about the VoLTE support, there may be some variants of the device that support it or not. In terms of Xperia 1 ii, specially the variant that I got from ovantica, which was the Japanese variant, comes with 2 supported Indian 5g bands, and does not support VoLTE.
It is good for photography, especially the pro modes help a lot. And I cannot say about the global variants, the one that I have is a Japanese variant and it does support 5g, I haven't tested though. Most probably all the variants support 2 Indian 5g bands, so it should work. And about UPI, I had some problem with Gpay, I think it has something to do with my bank's servers. I'm able to use UPI using my bank's official application.
I have only used INDOASIS (application of Indian Bank) which works, but I had some difficulty using gpay because I was unable to add bank account. It seems like an issue from bank servers. But I am able to use UPI through INDOASIS.
I won't say fantastic. Most people won't even like the output from this device. I love the camera on this phone, specially the professional modes help the most. In my opinion this device produces more original images as there is very little post processing in the images.
Will depend on various factors. On paper the lg v60 has some better specs. In terms of 5g, the v60 seems to be missing Indian 5g bands, Xperia 1 ii has some 5g bands.
I'm not saying that 5g is the most important part of any device. The thing is everyone wants to know about 5g in India and that's the reason I have to mention it. And the choice of the device will depend on you preference, on what kind of device you want.

V60 has 5000mAh battery vs 4000mAh in Xperia 1 ii. On paper, v60 has more megapixels but I prefer Sony for professional layout. There's no night mode as you may have to play with the settings to achieve good night shots in Sony. V60 supports 8k recording. Xperia 1 ii has 4k display vs Full HD on v60. Both have same chipset in terms of performance, Xperia has ufs 3.0 vs 2.1 in v60. Both have similar updates in software, upto Android 12. V60 is heavier. If you want everything perfect, don't buy from ovantica.
I couldn't test it, I wasn't able to find the option for volte in the settings. Though there were multiple articles which claim that this device supports volte. This is all I can say for now.
Sorry brother, I cannot purchase another device for the moment. I can give some opinion on the Xperia 5 ii, it is a good alternative if you want to go for a lower price. Most of the features are similar to that of Xperia 1 ii.
There can be some problems in network connectivity, as these devices were not launched for the Indian market. And specially the devices we are getting from the websites like ovantica, have the Japanese variants. So not having a proper network can be an issue. In my case I am able to use the SIM cards, even though it is a Japanese model. And if it doesn't work, maybe changing the firmware can help.

thanks for the video bhai. bhai i think it might not be justified to say this phone will support 5G in India just by looking at the band supports. because, i have seen that mobile manufacturers have to give additional software updates to make 5G work for a specific network provider. (as Apple had to release ios16.3) and it isnt certain whether sony will give the software update or not. its really uncertain. ( one more example i would like to give is that VOLTE support can also be enabled by software update on a LTE only supported device, but manufacturers refrain from giving the software updates - as was the case with Lenovo K3 Note, back in 2015-16 )
That's a nice observation. Well this device might not be able to support 5g always since there are only 2 supported bands available for India. It would eventually have 5g connectivity but won't be that reliable.
Make sure you have 5g enabled in the settings. Go to settings - Network & Internet - SIMs - Preferred network type - 5g Also note that the sony Xperia devices might face issues in terms of connectivity, because they are not meant for the Indian market. It would also depend on which variant of the Xperia 10 iii you have.

Xperia 1 ii is more stock and has some professional features in terms of camera but there is not too much pre-processing so the output may not be that good. And s20 5g has better compatibility and better processing in the camera units. In the end it may come down to your personal preference. And about the sim, yes it does support them.
Try changing the preferred network type, access point names, and some other connectivity settings, also try using other sim card to confirm if it the device's problem. Lastly try restarting or resetting the device. If non works, contact ovantica for help, they might be able to help.
VoLTE didn't come to my mind while making this video as I don't usually make phone calls. Sorry for this. I looked up about this and found that different versions of Xperia 1 ii do support VoLTE, but not SOG01.
UPI payments are working, I am facing some issues in connecting my bank account to Gpay, but that's probably the issue from bank's server. I still am able to use UPI payments from my bank's official app.

I don't think Xperia 5 ii has a 4k amoled display. It has a resolution of 2520x1080, which is just Full HD display with 21:9 aspect ratio. It has a 120hz refresh rate but it is OLED not amoled.

Both are good options, the Xperia 10 iv is a newer model as compared to Xperia 1 ii. But Xperia 1 ii has better overall performance, display, network connection, etc.
Xperia 10 iv has a bigger battery.
In my OPINION, if the price difference is less between the two, then you can still go for the Xperia 1 ii.

For purchasing I would really suggest you to do more research on both the websites. I bought my device from ovantica, and I'm satisfied with my product. But I've also read many negative reviews.
And I really do not have much idea about olx so can't really say much about it. The OLX does have a renew category where they sell refurbished devices.

Xperia 1 ii, it has better specs. I haven't used the Xperia 5 ii but looking at the spec-sheet, Xperia 1 ii is better.
Xperia 1 ii is better if you get it for the same price. I recommend avoiding the 5 ii as it has a major green line issues which some users get unexpectedly, and there is no way to get rid of it.

I haven't faced heating issues yet. Only time I felt the device was heating a little bit was when I was recording videos for an hour straight. But didn't heat very much.

I have the Japanese model too, but I do get proper network when there is available. Maybe you can try changing access points from the settings, turning roming on/off, changing preferred network. You may need to play with some of the network settings.

If you are talking about the Xperia 10 iii, I may not be able to give proper information. Latest Sony devices were not made for the Indian market, so they may lack most of the Indian 5g bands. And also I cannot say about the VoLTE support, there may be some variants of the device that support it or not.
In terms of Xperia 1 ii, specially the variant that I got from ovantica, which was the Japanese variant, comes with 2 supported Indian 5g bands, and does not support VoLTE.

It is good for photography, especially the pro modes help a lot.
And I cannot say about the global variants, the one that I have is a Japanese variant and it does support 5g, I haven't tested though.
Most probably all the variants support 2 Indian 5g bands, so it should work. And about UPI, I had some problem with Gpay, I think it has something to do with my bank's servers. I'm able to use UPI using my bank's official application.

V60 has 5000mAh battery vs 4000mAh in Xperia 1 ii. On paper, v60 has more megapixels but I prefer Sony for professional layout. There's no night mode as you may have to play with the settings to achieve good night shots in Sony. V60 supports 8k recording. Xperia 1 ii has 4k display vs Full HD on v60. Both have same chipset in terms of performance, Xperia has ufs 3.0 vs 2.1 in v60. Both have similar updates in software, upto Android 12. V60 is heavier.
If you want everything perfect, don't buy from ovantica.

There can be some problems in network connectivity, as these devices were not launched for the Indian market. And specially the devices we are getting from the websites like ovantica, have the Japanese variants. So not having a proper network can be an issue.
In my case I am able to use the SIM cards, even though it is a Japanese model. And if it doesn't work, maybe changing the firmware can help.

thanks for the video bhai. bhai i think it might not be justified to say this phone will support 5G in India just by looking at the band supports. because, i have seen that mobile manufacturers have to give additional software updates to make 5G work for a specific network provider. (as Apple had to release ios16.3) and it isnt certain whether sony will give the software update or not. its really uncertain. ( one more example i would like to give is that VOLTE support can also be enabled by software update on a LTE only supported device, but manufacturers refrain from giving the software updates - as was the case with Lenovo K3 Note, back in 2015-16 )
That's a nice observation. Well this device might not be able to support 5g always since there are only 2 supported bands available for India. It would eventually have 5g connectivity but won't be that reliable.

Make sure you have 5g enabled in the settings.
Go to settings - Network & Internet - SIMs - Preferred network type - 5g
Also note that the sony Xperia devices might face issues in terms of connectivity, because they are not meant for the Indian market.

Xperia 1 ii is more stock and has some professional features in terms of camera but there is not too much pre-processing so the output may not be that good. And s20 5g has better compatibility and better processing in the camera units.
In the end it may come down to your personal preference.
And about the sim, yes it does support them.
S20 has more Android updates, more compatible 5g bands, and better screen quality. Xperia has a headphone jack.

Try changing the preferred network type, access point names, and some other connectivity settings, also try using other sim card to confirm if it the device's problem.
Lastly try restarting or resetting the device. If non works, contact ovantica for help, they might be able to help.

UPI payments are working, I am facing some issues in connecting my bank account to Gpay, but that's probably the issue from bank's server. I still am able to use UPI payments from my bank's official app.

what about sony xperia 5 II it is available for 18k in superb condition in ovantica with 4k amoled 120hz display and snapdragon 865 it is better than xperia 1 II ? The only thing i don't like about xperia 1 is its 60hz display
I don't think Xperia 5 ii has a 4k amoled display. It has a resolution of 2520x1080, which is just Full HD display with 21:9 aspect ratio. It has a 120hz refresh rate but it is OLED not amoled.
