    James fuckin Murphy!!
    Such a killer player man.. he's definitely one of my favorite death metal guitarists of all time.. hands down one of the best out there.. he helped invent this style of metal and still killin it.. a fuckin beast..

      Disincarnate was bad ass.. monarch of the sleeping marches and dead spawn are my favorite tunes on the album.. but the whole album kicks ass man.. but yes, you're absolutely 💯 percent right about that.. that was definitely one of his best projects hands down.. I also really dig what he did on death's spiritual healing album as well.. and what he did on cancers death shall rise album.. and obituarys cause of death.. lol..
      The list goes on bro.. such an amazing guy and guitarist 🎸..

      @@cacaloca5434 😳 Wow, Japan huh? 🤔Wild.... It's always blown me away how underrated Bill Andrews is/was in the whole DM community as an amazing Thrash/Speed , old school Death Metal drummer (as the Rienert/Hoglan era has ALWAYS overshadowed him with their latter more complex works), but? THIS era of DEATH was so HUGELY inspirational to me, as an aspiring METAL drummer and constantly, getting into the more extreme music 🎶. Especially at the time it came out as I was in latter H.S. and had a buddy (R.I.P. Big Dave) that had ALL the extreme stuff coming out then at the time...🤔 Won't ever forget the 1st time hearing Spiritual Healing on CD at his house, looking at the whole booklet, hearing the whole 1st aggressive double bass then skank beat beginning of the song and then? THAT killer blues beat that Andrews goes into with the excellent breakdown of guitar work via Chuck and James Murphy during the chorus, and then the whole...."Better off ta die, DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!" 🤘😡🤘 Yeah, obviously? LOVE THAT album! 😎 SPIRITUAL HEALING, and OBITUARY- CAUSE OF DEATH were on the playlists that day BACK in...🤔? (Whatever year it was). Yet? Somehow, still forever etched in my mind (though fading through the years as I just turned 49 y.o.😬 And YES, STILL listening to and loving METAL🤘) Not gonna lie though, as I was baked outta my mind when I 1st heard those 2 CDS and I distinctively remember loving the actual M.U.S.I.C. and when THOSE vocals came on (with Chuck's "cocaine" lyrics and the dual vocal attack starting on the OBITUARY CD)? I laughed my azz off so freakin hard! LOL 😆🤣 BACK WHEN...Some MUSIC would just come right out and SMACK ya! (in a sense) 🎶😏...Thanks guys! R.I.P. Chuck 🙌"The ORIGINAL DM Philosopher" 🤘🎸🥁🔥🎶🤘

      Exactly. At some moments, with a careful look, James looks like he's going to lose it but he doesn't or that he's going to get confused BUT without this having a bad impact in his performance. I think he overcomes all this because of his talent and all this experience he has.

    Great performance! CAN ANYONE verify the rumours/and or positively knows what actually happened to "the original DEATH Spiritual Healing lineup" AFTER the album was recorded etc??? I remember hearing/reading that there WAS quite a bit of a heated "breakup" possibly? One, where like Chuck (OR maybe James Murphy 🤔) ended UP in a an actual mental health facility? OR the one where Chuck Shuldiner HAD a fallen out with the THEN band members, and where "some" of the remaining band members ended up touring Europe WITHOUT CHUCK SCHULDINER,, UNDER THE ACTUAL "DEATH" NAME??? IK now, that Chuck, Terry and Bill DID some AMERICAN touring obviously (after Murphy's departure). OR, WAS Murphy JUST a session guy that added some music writing during that era, at the end of the day??? 🤔 Obviously, I'm NOT trying to start ANY unsolidified rumors. It's JUST that Spiritual Healing IS/WAS such an inspirational CD for me for when it 1st came out and? Few years later, for when I got BACK into actually playing drums, and getting into more and more Extreme METAL music and bands 🥁🎸😏. And yeah, obviously, BACK WHEN? There was little to NO articles about hardly ANY of MOST of the Extreme METAL bands that were around OR coming out BACK in the daze....NOTHIN.. Anyways, I obviously really liked THIS tribute band/performance with 2 of the ORIGINAL guys THAT were there at inception! 😎 Miss ya Bill Andrews (as you were SUCH an inspiration to me, playing double bass, skanks and funky blues beats during breakdowns!🥁) And of course, CHUCK! R.I.P. 🤘🔥🎸🥁🎶🤘

    • @bledboost
      @bledboost ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Spiritual Healing lineup got along great during recording of the album. After about 6 weeks of the touring Chuck & James didn't get along so James split from the band. They used Albert Gonzales (from the band Evildead) on the 2nd leg of the tour. After that, Death was under contract to do a european tour co-headlining with Kreator. Chuck didn't want to do the tour so Terry Butler and Bill Andrews did the tour without him, they used their roadies to do vocals and guitar.

    • @jamescon55

      @@bledboost TY VERY MUCH for clearing that ALL UP for me 👍...Now 🤔 DID Murphy do the Spiritual gig BEFORE Cause of Death with OBITUARY? OR, afterwards 🤔...And do you possibly know "what happened" with Murphy and OBITUARY as well? I'm guessing 🤔...THAT AFTER he toured with Obituary, he decided he wanted to do HIS OWN band via DISINCARNATE. 🤔 I could be wrong... But... AGAIN, TY sir. ROCK the funk ON!!! 🤘🔥🤘

    • @bledboost
      @bledboost ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamescon55 No Problem, I happen to know a lot of this stuff from being a fan. So he got the Obituary gig after the Spiritual Healing tour. Scott Burns who was a well known producer in the Florida death metal scene helped him get the gig. James replaced Allen West who left the band when they were recording Cause of Death. James recorded solos on the album and did 2 tours with them. Allen West later rejoined Obituary and James formed Disincarnate after that. Disincarnate put out an album, toured for about 5 weeks then James got the call from Testament to audition for them.

    • @MoveitorLoseit2
      @MoveitorLoseit2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James and Terry did some interviews lately about it. James got kicked out after the first round of US shows for Spiritual Healing. Simply because him and Chuck were not getting along. They got along great during the writing and recording, just not on the tour. When they were going to go to Europe, Chuck refused to leave. So Terry & Bill went without him with a singer and guitarist they had to hire to fill in.
