this made me cry. Im in the process of losing my Dad due to his bad health. Seeing you with your Dad just hit me hard. Being a BIG Liverpool fan I was SOOOOO Happy after the Barca match and now the Champions League match. So close the last couple of years...but now its our time. At my age and living here in the USA I know I will never live out my dream of going to Anfield....but this year made up for me not being able to go. Maybe someday Ill win the lottery so I can go. Again...thanks for sharing your experience with your Dad...it will be a memory that will be with you forever....remember...WE all never walk alone.

when the competition started we wasn't favourites, and after the semi final draw we certainly wasn't installed as favourites to win as Barcelona was favourites, Liverpool only became favourites when we reached the final

We did become favourites and winners of a Champions league under Klopp. Favourites after the Barca comeback and favourites for the next CL before we got kicked out. We also won the CL. No where did I mention we were favourites before the Barcelona game.

That moment with your dad when you told him about the ticket is just the best thing, he obviously a mans man and probably like my dad finds it hard to say or show his emotion, but you know it’s there by the things he does and you know he loves you more than you could think. It’s such a typical dad moment and when you finally hug/kiss/tell your dad that you love him and see him smile that’s the best feeling in the world.

I will forever remember this video. I showed it to my dad, a Liverpool supporter, 2 days after the final and we both sat in awe at the fans, the songs and the atmosphere in general. We sat and wondered what it must've been like in Madrid those few days.
Unfortunately, my dad passed away 3 days later. This video was the last Liverpool-related thing we watched together (other than the final). He loved it. Thank you.

This football club indeed Paul! Its still not sank in yet, just pure unadulterated joy we are all feeling I'm sure. We have had too many heartbreaks over the last decade, but they are all cancelled out by the sheer delight in winning the European Cup yet again! These players and Klopp will go down as legends, and I couldn't be more delighted for them, especially Jordan Henderson - the emotion he showed at the end was culmination of years of hard work and determination to prove the naysayers wrong, and he now goes down alongside Emelyn Hughes, Phil Thompson, Graeme Souness, Steven Gerrard, as captains who have lifted the European Cup. Wonderful stuff.

Can remember everything liverpool back to 1985, ive watched your day in madrid a few times now and its just as sweet every time i watch this. beaming ear to ear....my dad just happened to be over in berlin that weekend visiting me as theyd booked a cycling holiday in austria months previously, they had a flight home thru berlin where im living so they stayed the weekend instead of taking the flight transfer and we watched the game together too...what a night! what a season, what a time to be liverpool

The last thing Paul said before closing the vlog really made me realise how far this team and its supporters have come. How many heartaches we had since Istanbul, how that, no matter how good we were, we were never good enough.
