I used to watch the serie when I was a child and I dreamed Methos, loved Methos, wrote about Methos...I had a serious crush on him but nobody undestood why I liked Methos (he wasn´t considered as handsome as Duncan among my friends-fans)... and now I realized that he was such a sweet, intelligent, funny, caring and loyal character... and hot as hell!!!!!!! That's why I loved the most in the entire serie!!!! Thanks for bringing those golden memories back to me
I just love how duncan and methos go so well. They start a bit shaken, but they friendship evolve throught the series, and become a strong bond. Both duncan anrdmethos complete each other. I think in the end of the series duncan is the only friend methos had in a very long time. Perhaps the best he had.
Perhaps the best character ever in highlander. To me he was the most real and human of the immortals,as much as he acted that he didnt care or was neutral he deep down was on the side of good.And he could fight he just chose not to unless he truly had to or help a friend and in his ways he always did.

Long, lean and lanky, yet graceful…..and a lot more muscular than he looked…..and a guy who would be very easy to underestimate. Bales a bit hefty…..I mean even at a lighter weight I can’t see him playing a guy who people would disregard as a threat, but that was central to Methos’ character, “looking” harmless. until Death had to come out to play……and then Peters acting just hit exactly on point. He could play the harmless grad student, the dedicated watcher(with a double life), the weary immortal who’s “seen it all, done it all”, the “every guy” falling in love and losing another love, and the ice cold killer and make you believe these were all a part of one, ancient, weary man who was seeking redemption whether or not he was willing to admit it to himself. He also had that boyish good humour, the kind of looks that don’t age, but an ability to maintain that sense of great depths under the smiles. It was a great character study….and it didn’t hurt that he was gorgeous(I’m a sucker for cheekbones, and wide well formed mouths, and a strong nose……that’s a face that is not only aesthetically pleasing but full of character)

I can't understand how people cannot distinguish Loreena McKennitt and Laura Creamer. Their inflections and tonal control are noticeably different. This is Laura Creamer and she is the only one to sing Bonny Portmore for the Highlander tv series.
The thing that sucks about dying isn't dying per se...it's not getting to see the end of the story. I would be fine with dying if my last moments were seeing a Ken Burns documentary on the remainder of human history. Methos character got to see so much of human history. It's difficult to fathom all the nations that existed when you were born ceasing to exist upon your death. Could you imagine now, all the borders redrawn all new countries by the time you are on your death bed?

Methos was already at least 1800 years old when he rode with the Horsemen and kidnapped Cassandra, which was "in the Bronze Age," but it didn't say when in the Bronze age... So technically, Methos pre-dates nation-states as we know them, including the most ancient Egyptian cultures.

I think the Chronos villain was the first moment i felt this show was complete from the whole 'enemies' of the past.. lore.. and humankinds history....... was a brilliant few episodes.
I like the video but this just isn't his song. Something like Policy of Truth, Carry On My Wayward Son, or if you want to go with an old feeling, Hands of Gold would be perfect for Methos. (I know that last one wasn't available in 2007, I'm just using it as an example)
