They are far ahead musically than any of those bands. I've seen them four times. Once in the 80's and three times in the past twenty years. If anything, they've gotten better. They are still playing a lot of shows.
We used to go to Sacramento California in the summer to these small outdoor venues to see them around the time of their 2nd album it was hot and so much fun they always killed it good times love that Les Paul Marty it's my favorite guitar of yours great job on the lesson 👏👍👍
Hey, dude. I never thumbs up or thumbs down anything. I have never used an emoji. I am not on any social media at all. I get upset when Netflix asks me if I liked a show. Eff off for asking for free info. I am old school when I had to pay for play in any venue in hollywood. I saw VH when I was 9 in Memphis, where I grew up for $7.50. I have the ticket stub. I am an EVH attic, among others. We live in a world without Ed, Chris Cornell, Lane Staley, and many other great musicians. I am fairly accomplished, but we all need to learn and strive to be better constantly. I simply want to thank you for making me better. You have taught me so much. Especially how I have been playing so many of Ed's riffs wrong for years. I hope you enjoy my comments, and again, thank you. I hope it is profitable for you and that you continue to help others like me. I am thinking of opening a rehab center for EVH attics like me to let them heal from their frustration. L-O-L. You will be my first guest. I will continue to follow you. I hope you will do more Nuno, Vita Bratta, Reb Beach, Randy, and many other deciples of the only Edward Van Halen. Your teaching is impeccable. Thank you.
New subscriber! I've been learning guitar and refining it since 1982.....obviously not my day job but I do have a passion for it. Your tone and sound is spot on and I love how you instruct how important it is to have your fingers set up for the next chord/riff/whatever. Great song and a great wonderful instructional video from you. Thank you!
Love Tesla! I totally dig how you break down chord progressions too. Thank you. Great campfire song. We would hack these up and everyone around the fire would be singing and jamming, good times man.
Thanks got it down now. Saw em at Georgia National Fair and put some videos here on youtube oct 23. Had a beer with Frank in Sacramento bar in the early 90s.
I loved tesla when i was a kid! Had almost all their cds except for bust a nut, didn't care for it,but they still rock hard, straight up rock n roll band from Sacramento ca
Tesla is amazing, the blending of acoustic with electric guitar is great. Another excellent lesson Marty. What You Give, yes the season of giving. We'll see if my wife gives a Wolfgang guitar? 😂🎸 I've got some good stuff in mind for her. 🤔😁😎
What is the strumming technique you use at the end of video for the chorus at 10:08? When you turn up volume and play power chords G, D then C? Or just tell me what the technique is called. Is it percussive or palm muting? It sounds like a powerful clicking . Or does anybody out there know? A beginner here. I would appreciate it so much! Great lesson! Thanks! I’ll check replies everyday!
At the five minute mark when you start explaining the picking for the Fmaj7 and C chords.. can you explain the picking of the strings, other than the pull offs of the G and C notes? I re-watched it a dozen times and I can't see what you're doing. Thanks.
Just a note...heh....the 2nd fret B ending the riff downward should actually be the F on the low E. It hits slightly earlier than you're hitting it. 🤘🏻
Why would you slide up to the 5th fret on the high B string when playing that intro? You can just hit the open E on the first string, less movement of the fingers and keeps your hand positioned to work back down the scale.
In all honesty ... I have the knowledge. However I get so many people that like the hand written tabs cause it reminds them of beorganic lessons that's why I do it. It's very popular on the channel and is something that makes it different. If it's not your cup of tea I understand. 😄☮️
Frank Hannon is a guitar wizard, Tesla should be just as big as Bon Jovi and GNR, fantastic band.
They are far ahead musically than any of those bands. I've seen them four times. Once in the 80's and three times in the past twenty years. If anything, they've gotten better. They are still playing a lot of shows.
The C to Fmaj7 is such a heavenly transition! I play this song on 12-string acoustic.
Frank really knew how to paint a picture with chords. Love Song? Get outta town. Great chords.

This is the only and best comprehensive lesson for the guitar to this song I’ve seen on TH-cam.
Great choice and great band, thanks!
You're welcome! 😁🍺
Forgot how great that melody is! Going to give it a whirl. Thanks for sharing!
Frank Hannon is awesome, Tesla had some great tracks!

Always dug Tesla. I will have to add this to me arsenal. Back in the day I didn't have a singer who could quite hang with them.

We should jam this one day ;)
For sure man!!!
I knew you had good taste!
Ty
Is this tuned to 1/2 step down?
Please do song and emotional next as there is no good lesson on TH-cam about that song.

Tone and sound, for me really. But either way is ok 👍
My bad. It would be about the eight minute mark.
Maybe should contact some other youtube transcribers to learn how to produce QUALITY tabs?

Wasn’t this song about a dog. If you think about it the lyrics read like what a dog would think….
It is about his Dog
