Hey everyone!! Hope you enjoyed the reaction, and once again Happy Thanksgiving!! Sorry about Friends, should be out in the next couple of days, just waiting on copyright!!
Mickey talking to the potrait of Walt, his creator/father, and thanking him for everything was such a heartfelt moment and shows such reverence for walt and everything Disney purely as a movie studio represents. Easily the highlight of the short.
Imagine if they made another short like this where the ones who never got the chance to meet him hear all about him from Mickey and the others who knew him. The stories they could tell!
When my family and I visit the Disneyland, I found the statue of Walt Disney and Micky Mouse. I said, "Thanks Walt Disney. You make my family and I happy."
Here's two fun facts about the short: - That guy in red at the start was Burny Mattinson, he is a disney employee and animator who work with disney the longest since Lady and the Tramp in 1953. His last film he work on was in Strange World and sadly he passed away at the start of this year. So this short is like a great way to honor his legacy. - At the scene with Mickey looking at Walt's portrait, the song that plays in the back is a piano version of "Feed the Birds" from Merry Poppins. It's said to be Walt Disney's favorite song in all of his movies. In his office he used to have a piano and the Sherman Brothers, who wrote the song, he would often get them to come on a Friday afternoon just to play that song. What also make this part in the short special is that one of the Sherman Brother who are still alive till this day play the song in the piano for the short.
This was the ultimate Disney love letter to not only the characters and artists, but the fans. They put so many lesser known characters in there like some from their early cartoons and even some from the parks’ history. Hit or flop, they were there. Say what you will about Disney’s problems nowadays, their history is unmatched. 💖 I was hoping you’d watch this, Nick, thank you!!
Fun ironic fact: the voice actor of Hans from Frozen demanded a higher than possible pay to voice Hans in here. So, as revenge, they made Hans' cameo be completely foiled by making him be frozen in his portrait.
Yes, that was Robin Williams as Genie! They actually used unused records from the character. It made me so happy knowing that was actually him rather than AI.
That new girl Snow White holds hands with is Asha, the newest Disney princess from the movie Wish. It’s so amazing to think Snow White, the first Disney princess, is standing next to and holding hands with Asha, a brand new princess! This whole short is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. All the characters interacting and being friends! Mickey paying respect to his father/creator gets me every time. Some of the original voice actors came back, but some are sadly no longer with us, so they used similar sounding VA’s like they did with Mad Hatter, reused lines like with Peter Pan, and lines from outtakes like with Genie.
I saw it in french and I waw very disappointed they didn't use a recording of the voice of Roger Carel, who was considered as the boss of the Disney voice acting in France, until he left us three years ago 😢 Some of the characters he voiced have a line in it.
Don’t forget Snow White held mulan’s hand. It wasn’t Ming-Na Wen though but Lea Salonga who was basically the Disney songstress of the renaissance era (she was jasmine’s singing voice along with Mulan’s singing voice)
Robin had hours upon HOURS of ad libbing that he did for Genie, so yes, they took a couple of lines out for this! ❤ Also yeah, “Feed the Birds” from Mary Poppins wad Walt’s favorite song from any of his movies, so it’s so meaningful to me that that’s what they played when they showed his photo. 😭😭😭💖
If I recall, Disney could not use the unused audio recordings without permission from Robin’s estate. And I’m thinking his daughter Zelda had a say in the matter.
@@twist58 Yep, I think you're right! Makes sense though, I imagine those unused recording sessions are gold and I hope we get to hear more of them someday. :D
Glad yo see you back! also loved that they did this for there 100 year anniversary, incorporating all of the 2D stuff in a 3D World. Hope that we get new 2D stuff from disney in the future!

I absolutely LOVED this short. All the past hand-drawn animation interacting with the 3D, beautiful. Also, Mickey looking at the picture of Walt Disney, made me emotional.
The part with Mickey and Walt's picture alone added five years to my lifespan. Oswald added another three, and my heart was absolutely bursting by the end. Thank heaven the uptight executives who keep shackling writers and animators apparently kept their noses out of this one. Now they just need to start doing it more often.

Nick, thank you so much for reacting to this film. This has undoubtedly been one of my favorite short films, as well as one of my favorite videos that you reacted to. Honestly, not only do I like how Mickey pays tribute to Walt Disney himself, but I like how both the popular characters, and characters from even some of the unpopular Disney animated films got recognition as well. Oh, and I loved the part where each of the characters are starting to sing “When You Wish Upon A Star,” and everyone sings “your dreams come true” at the very end. Anyway, thanks again for posting this video!
What really amazes me is that in a similar vain to House of Mouse, they really went above and beyond with some of these cameos. They're even acknowledging their less popular films, which I greatly appreciate. Seeing John Henry of all characters make a brief cameo was especially amazing. Not quite as shocking as House of Mouse using the animals from Song of the South, but still.
This short is just such a wonderful and heartwarming tribute to Walt Disney, the many beautiful stories Disney has given us deserves to be celebrated more than anything. Thank you for everything you have given us Disney, we couldn’t ask for anything better. Loved your reaction, Nick. Looking forward to you reacting to Elemental. It’s a beautiful movie to watch.

Ever since this short first aired on ABC during the TV premiere of Encanto, I was hooked into nostalgia. It’s a wonderful culmination of what has transpired for the Disney Animation Studios in the last century. I have NOT missed any animated film in their library. Seen them all! Walt would’ve loved it.
6:27 That's Asha, the newest Disney Princess from the movie Wish. Its actually quite symbollic seeing three generations of princesses coming together like that!
So, fun fact at the scene with Olaf. Right before Genie pops out, you see a little Neverland boy in yellow fly past? It's a second tribute to Robin Williams, alongside Genie, based on a short he worked on with Disney called "Back to Neverland", made in 1989!
This short really was a dream came true.. When Mickey gave the thanks to Walt is definitely the moment when many of us cried, I was much poignant by this short, the best for reunite all the fantastic Disney characters, I felt like a child again reliving my childhood especially when everyone sing When you wish upon a star: the anthem of Disney for me
The background music in the part with Mickey and Walt is feed the birds from Mary poppins. That was Walt Disney’s favorite song and when he was alive, there would be days at the studio where he would call the Sherman brothers and ask them to play it for him. This happened often, up until he died in 1966. Fast forward to 2001, there was a celebration for Walt’s 100th birthday at disneyland, where Richard Sherman played feed the birds. While he was playing the song a bird flew onto the piano, and everyone said it was Walt’s spirit joining them at the celebration. I love that little nod in the short to feed the birds being Walt’s song.
This short is quite the culmination of what has transpired in the last century for Disney! I also pictured to myself that if they threw in a certain spiky haired kid with a giant key serving as a sort of Disney security guard (a la Night at the Museum) holding a checklist of each character present. Granted, he’s a hybrid creation between Disney and Square Enix, but he has traveled to and traversed their worlds.
I absolutely loved this short film and it's one of my top favourite Disney projects! I also loved how it bought characters from all the films including the ones that are underrated such as Aladar from Disney's Dinosaur on the right. I loved your reaction so much Nick and keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot for covering this, Nick! I love this Disney short SO much!! Honestly, this is my favorite thing that Disney has made in a long time. I love how the many of the characters throughout Disney’s filmmaking history interacted with each other, classic and modern. Once Upon a Studio is the greatest love letter and tribute to 100 years of Disney, 10/10! Happy Thanksgiving, Nick!
This was a heartfelt short! Hope it gets Oscar buzz!
IMO, this is the best thing that Disney has ever produced in 10 years, and that's including their latest 3D and live action films. How I wish they'd go back to their older storytelling formula, with their timeless lessons and emphasis on universal virtues.
Doesn’t matter what generation you were born. If you had Disney in your life growing up and you came to recognize any of these characters, then you’ve had quite the childhood with these Disney films! There’s also a rumor among people on social media that this short film was originally meant to be 14 minutes long rather than 9 minutes as we’ve got. If that were true, then I’m assuming the extra minutes probably would’ve showcased additional characters that didn’t make the cut. And Happy Thanksgiving Nick! When you have the chance, when Wish comes out for streaming. React to it. You won’t regret it! I enjoyed it!
This short made me cry so much and was so beautifully made. It was so great seeing all these characters together and that moment with Mickey and Walt's picture was too sweet. 🥺🥺🥺💜💜💜 And you're fine, Nick! You haven't done anything wrong and I hope you're doing okay. ❤
I have a strong love/hate relationship with Disney right now; on the one hand, I do like some of their most recent outputs, specifically Encanto. But I also despise all the bad company decisions they've been making with said movies and other properties. All that aside, this short is hands-down one of the all-time best things Disney has released in recent years!! Even if not every single one of their works is great and/or remembered by many, it really was magical seeing them all brought together to celebrate how far Disney Animation has come!! I can only hope that it's a sign of positive choices and changes being made in the near future!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING NICK!! this Disney short was so sweet and I cried, I love Disney so much despite its bad reputation and stuff, it'll always be my childhood
3:44 Yes it is. They got his voice by using unused audio clips from when he recorded his lines back in the day. He improvised so much there was PLENTY to choose from lol.
6:25 that would be Asha. She’s from the new movie Wish. Which we hope to see a reaction to it when it comes to Disney+😉 If you’re a total Disney fan you’ll definitely love it.

It's very sad that Gilbert Gottfried couldn't be apart of the disney 100th anniversary. And seeing all of these different types of disney characters are very incredible.
This was an amazing way to celebrate the studio’s 100th anniversary. My favorite scene is when Mickey saw a picture of his father, creator, and first voice, Walt Disney. Definitely 10/10. But I do wonder what they’ll do for z Mickey Mouse’s 100th birthday? Maybe a short or movie.
Ohh this is so beautiful. As a big Disney fan, I loved this short film, and I missed your videos! Glad to have you back, Nick. I hope youre doing great 😁
Happy Thanksgiving Nick! And it’s understandable you don’t have to apologize. I hope everything’s okay now❤️This short is now officially my favorite. This made me so emotional & I literally cried sooo hard watching this🥹
You know, Nick, there is one movie I want Walt Disney Animation Studios to make for quite some time now. I was thinking an animated Mickey Mouse movie where we see Mickey meet all of his friends, foil Pete's plans for the first time, see where Mickey came from, pay tribute to Walt Disney himself with some easter eggs to him, and maybe have it similar to The Super Mario Bros. Movie? I don't know, I think an animated Mickey movie would work pretty well if done right
And to think the reason why not every single Disney character ever made appeared in this short film is because all of the characters that did appear were all from movies that were made specifically and or exclusively by Walt Disney Animation Studios, While characters from Disney movies that were made by other animation studios sadly couldn't be used.
They used Elliott from Pete's Dragon, the Penguins from Mary Poppins, and the lion from Bedknobs and Broomsticks and they're from live action Disney movies and could've had Roger Rabbit in this short
I was glad they didn't exclude hans from the photo entirely I was really mad for what he did to the Frozen sisters but if you think about it it was because of him that they rekindled their bonds otherwise also would still be distancing herself from her sister and everybody I guess you got to take the good with the bad too and who knows maybe one day he'll have a redemption in another Frozen movie so far in all these movies he's only been getting slapstick at the same time it's really sweet Elsa hasn't forgotten what hans did to her little sister which is why she was making sure hans didn't show up when Anna was worried about all the villains making an appearance
I hope that you’ve been doing better Nick, that’s the most important thing you should be focusing on 👍🏾 I’m sure that most of us know that you’re either busy or going through something when you don’t post for a while and we respect that Also, I probably spent more time pausing the short than watching it because I was trying to see all the Disney characters 😂
Here's an idea for a movie you should react to: Gnomeo and Juliet. It's based on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" but with garden gnomes. It's an underrated masterpiece that I highly recommended you to react to.
Hey!! I have a movie recommendation for you to watch during the Christmas time! It's "Mickey's Magical Christmas : Snowed in the House of Mouse" . I love it so much, I've been watching it every year on Christmas since I was a kid and it's really fun, please try reacting to it.
I've enjoyed this short my favorite Cameos in this are... The Princesses and their Princes Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Little John Flash, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, Mr. Big, Koslov, Fru-Fru, Bellwether, Chief Bogo and Clawhauser Scrooge Mcduck Dalmatian Puppies, Pongo and Perdita Hades and Pain and Panic Aurora and Prince Phillip Winston (Feast) George (Paperman) Nessie John Henry Quasimodo (I'm glad they got Tom Hulce to reprise the role of Quasimodo) Victor Hugo and Laverne Esmeralda and Phoebus Basil, Dawson, Ratigan and Olivia Bernard and Miss Bianca, Penny Madame Medusa and Snoops Cody (The Rescuers) Duchess and her Kittens, Edgar, Thomas O'Malley and Scat Cat Raya and the Gang Tod and Copper and the Gang (From The Fox and the Hound) Timon and Pumbaa Genie Olaf Robin Williams (As a Lost Boy) (Though he didn't get in the Photo) Tarzan and Jane (Surprised to see them even though Disney no longer does Tarzan anymore due to the rights being owned by Edgar Rice Burroughs), Terk, Kerchak, Kala Tantor, Clayton Seven Dwarfs Rachel, Duke, Joe and Flying John (Fantasia 2000) Mowgli and the Gang (Jungle Book) Big Hero 6 Ludwig Von Drake Jim Hawkins and the Gang (Treasure Planet) Maui Mr Toad and Ichabod Jose and Panchito Ursula The Madrigals Alice and the Gang (Alice in Wonderland) Scar Simba and Nala Rafiki Penny, Bolt Mittens and Rhino Peter Pan and the Lost Boys The Darling Children Tinker Bell Milo Thatch and the Gang (Atlantis) Kenai and Koda Rutt and Tuke Lewis, Goob (Bowler Hat Guy), Carl and Wilbur (From Meet the Robinsons) (My favorite Cameos) Hercules, Meg, Zeus, Pegasus And this short is as close to either getting a Revival/Reboot of House of Mouse (With all the Characters from the Disney Animated Canon that appeared in Once Upon a Studio) or a Follow Up Series that takes place after the Short don't you agree?
Hey everyone!! Hope you enjoyed the reaction, and once again Happy Thanksgiving!! Sorry about Friends, should be out in the next couple of days, just waiting on copyright!!

@@twist58 It could happen though, I wouldn’t put it past Disney to pull something like that.
IMO, this is the best thing that Disney has ever produced in 10 years, and that's including their latest 3D and live action films. How I wish they'd go back to their older storytelling formula, with their timeless lessons and emphasis on universal virtues.
3:30 And yet we can see Hans in the background when everyone is reunited.
It’s okay Nick, you don’t need to apologize. On the other hand, this short was amazing so thank you for watching it
This short made me cry so much and was so beautifully made. It was so great seeing all these characters together and that moment with Mickey and Walt's picture was too sweet. 🥺🥺🥺💜💜💜
And you're fine, Nick!
3:44
Yes it is.
The crossover I always wanted but didn't expect
I loved this short! It was very lovely!
I wonder if Sony Pictures Animation can definitely bring all the characters for a crossover.

Minnie closing her eyes in the men's bathroom and Flash. 😂
Now I get it!!! I didn't know that they we're in the men's bathroom!!!
An awesome reaction as always Nick and Happy Thanksgiving.
Hearing robin williams again brought me to tears
6:25 that’s the new Disney Princess which the movie is out in theaters now
no need to apologize everyone deserves their personal time
Ohh this is so beautiful.
This made me so emotional & I literally cried sooo hard watching this🥹
If you're wondering who the one on the left next to snow white yes she's from the new Disney movie Wish
Never Apologize for taking any breaks from TH-cam, Your Channel is Awesome Nick! 💫
Awww I just watch that one and I am going to see the new Disney movie wish so I am so excited to see that and also Happy Thanksgiving Nick
I’m so thankful to visit the studio last month.
Wow, surprise your reacting to this short, this was the best thing Disney has made in years.
3:48 Hey! Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire movie
I loved the part where Rapunzel hit kaa on the head to rescue Clarabelle cow
They should do a movie or series like this! ❤❤❤❤
I really enjoy your content and the kindness in your reactions. Thanks for sharing, and wishing you a great new year.
Movie? I don't know, I think an animated Mickey movie would work pretty well if done right
This short reminds me of the end of The Muppet Movie, with all the Henson characters together.
I love this short, I love Disney!
🥰🥰🥰
Love this film
I was soooo excited when they released it….
(Happy Thanksgiving and hope you have a wonderful week😄🦃🎉)
Omg yes
The girl in the purple is their newest addition 😊
I wanted it to be a film with a synopsis similar of "anchanted"
But it still great!!😍😍😍🥰🤩
And to think the reason why not every single Disney character ever made appeared in this short film is because all of the characters that did appear were all from movies that were made specifically and or exclusively by Walt Disney Animation Studios, While characters from Disney movies that were made by other animation studios sadly couldn't be used.
They used Elliott from Pete's Dragon, the Penguins from Mary Poppins, and the lion from Bedknobs and Broomsticks and they're from live action Disney movies and could've had Roger Rabbit in this short
Anna-do you think all the villains will show up?
Elsa-not all of them😉❄️
Hans-🥶
😂
Best thing Disney has ever done.
Yayyyy, I was gonna say if you were gonna react to this, my wish came true, well Happy Thanksgiving to you, Nick
Pixar should really do something like this for their 30th anniversary in 2025
Yeah
I was glad they didn't exclude hans from the photo entirely I was really mad for what he did to the Frozen sisters but if you think about it it was because of him that they rekindled their bonds otherwise also would still be distancing herself from her sister and everybody I guess you got to take the good with the bad too and who knows maybe one day he'll have a redemption in another Frozen movie so far in all these movies he's only been getting slapstick at the same time it's really sweet Elsa hasn't forgotten what hans did to her little sister which is why she was making sure hans didn't show up when Anna was worried about all the villains making an appearance
Now that you are back, please watch the Tinkerbell movies 😍
GREAT Reaction Video NickFlix I Enjoy Once Upon a Studio I Watched It On Disney Plus This Year It Was Perfect I Rate Once Upon A Studio 10/10

He got revived.
Maybe this year, you can watch Nestor the long eared Christmas donkey.
I hope that you’ve been doing better Nick, that’s the most important thing you should be focusing on 👍🏾
I’m sure that most of us know that you’re either busy or going through something when you don’t post for a while and we respect that
Also, I probably spent more time pausing the short than watching it because I was trying to see all the Disney characters 😂
They should of played this short before Wish
Unbelievably good video
Walt Disney would be proud 🥹
I was so happy to Lilo and Stitch and Nani and DAvid

Awesome short but why didn't they animated Walt Disney to join all disney characters of family picture?
Here's an idea for a movie you should react to: Gnomeo and Juliet. It's based on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" but with garden gnomes. It's an underrated masterpiece that I highly recommended you to react to.
Try Heidi's Song next! Please?
Hey!! I have a movie recommendation for you to watch during the Christmas time! It's "Mickey's Magical Christmas : Snowed in the House of Mouse" .

And this short is as close to either getting a Revival/Reboot of House of Mouse (With all the Characters from the Disney Animated Canon that appeared in Once Upon a Studio) or a Follow Up Series that takes place after the Short don't you agree?
PLEASE REACT TO "MALEFICENT 2", "CINDERELLA (2015) OR "THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS"!!! 😊💖
