The first one not being in 4K is disappointing but it isn’t Arrow’s fault in fairness, MGM are withholding the rights to that one, it’s the only film in the series they have a stake in. Big, big shame, but apart from that I absolutely love the set! Feels very comprehensive, as a massive Chucky fan it feels great to have everything together!

That’s why they could get away with doing the 2019 remake as long as they didn’t have the word “Chucky” in the title. It’s also why, when TV channels do Chucky marathons, the first film is never included because MGM are notoriously very protective of this small but crucial part of the franchise that they own. In this case, they probably want to release a 4K version themselves and don’t want Arrow involved as they want the profits from it. It’s frustrating because if they do end up doing their own 4K version, it’ll probably be a bit half-assed.
You know, for a £100 box set the last they could of done was actually clicked my discs in properly, now my child’s play 2 disc has a slight pause in it 😊

I live in the USA, So what physical media players would I need to watch all these movies including Child’s Play 1988 and Living With Chucky? Do I need to different players since some are Region Free and other are Region B???
A fantastic review and would recommend the tv show they manage to continue the movies really well and you get much more tiff than in the last few movies. I’d definitely pick it up now I’ve heard your review but for me it’s the bluray
The reason Child's Play isn't the 4K is because of licensing. MGM owns the rights to the original while Universal owns the rest. What probably happened was they could work with Universal, but MGM only allowed the Blu-ray in the set. If you have a Region Free Blu-ray player you should get the 4K Scream Factory release (which is 3 Discs) as it has 2 discs of bonus features not on the MGM disc. CP 2-7 are identical to the SF releases so while I did end up buying this because I wanted the booklet Arrow Video really did nothing here except the box art and booklet.
Got this boxset and supplemented it with shout factory 4K for child’s play. I quite like the Chucky franchise and I am glad to have this 4K set. Good review🎉🎉

I sent mines back, i wont accept the bad printing, if i spot one in the wild that looks fine then I'll pick it up otherwise happy enough with my blu ray set from few years back
If you have a Region Free Blu-ray player get the Scream Factory releases. They did the actual work to restore these films. Living with Chucky was a documentary released by Screambox in the US, so if your player can play Region A get it that way.
Mine does I got the Blue one from. Arrows website my only gripes with it is the lame artwork and the first film not being 4K apart from that it is a good set

They did the same thing with Bruce Lee collection where Enter the Dragon was not in 4K but in bluray!
