Always been curious about manacharged but never checked it out. I do like static orb and that is what I used when I still played. Did not think the damage could scale to such heights.
Hi! I found this video while looking for an alternative mage build, since I was struggling to learn mechanics with my novas covering the floor - could you please explain the rotation of this build? Also, your gear seems pretty accessible - nothing too out of reach before I roll another mage to try this out - but would you consider any pieces absolutely necessary to farm before I get started?
You use static as main damage, then you use lightning blast to recover mana and buff yourself. Whenever teleport is available you get free cast of static to help you refill mana. Helmet is pretty important for crit scaling, but i guess nothing is necessary.
@@m0rphTube One last question, since you're basically max level in this, and I don't know what order you did passives while leveling - do you remember around what level you started to be able to delete Julra like this?

Does the Manacharged and Overcharged Detonation apply to the small orbs or only to the big main orb? Does each small orb have its own chance to shock (so if you have 200% shock on hit each orb would apply 2 stacks of shock each) or all orbs count as one and can only apply ailments per cast of the skill?
Both apply to main and small orbs, but Overcharged does not apply to explosion/tendrils. Chance to shock is per hit, so every hit will roll separately.
I see some of you talk about damage calculations and such in comments. Can someone explain why you use chain lightning besides the 75% mana refund of static orb?

@@steffenjensen1987 1 - no. 2 - yes, but not with Overcharged Detonation, which is by far the biggest multiplier. 3 - yes, with everything that scales direct hit portion of the skill, or skill overall. For example, Volatile Outburst would not scale them, as it is specific to explosion damage. Same with baseline travel distance scaling of the skill. 4 - yes, both of those passives would work.

Whats the calculation behind 61% more dmg from 33,3% more mana? Wouldnt that make it hit 1,33 * 1,33 = 1,78 times harder? So 78% more.... Whats lcharges mana cost btw? 20% or more? 360 ish with a pool of 1600?
Both passives provide damage at different ratios. For example, at 1500 mana: manacharged gives 375% more, overcharged gives 1521% more, if you are wearing 50% implicit Gate Staff. I made a simple calc in google docs to make it easier. Mana cost is your mana divided by 5 + 38, and then all of it multiplied by gate staff implicit. So around 500 mana cost for me.
You can kill dungeon boss but if you go to corruption 2k+ you will deal this way 5-10% to Orbyss and your done because your mana left, build with no potential unfortunately, i am working on sorc/spellblade now and spark charge build is the best at the moment.
This only works if you have all the items in the build with the highest row that exists, in addition you have to hope that the hit is critical, because otherwise you won't have enough damage to kill her with 1 hit, I copied the entire the build and even then it didn't even give half of its life, pure click bait build. This doesn't work, believe me!
Did you pre-stack lightning blast to get crit chance and damage? Did you shock and slow her first? Did you use teleport for a free extra cast? My gear is FAR from optimal, idk what are you on about. No one told you to play the build either, what's the bait? I did not promise you anything. If you post your character/video i can maybe try to help

mana refund is the main reason, would be unplayable without that. Other huge reason is Closed Circuit

The travel distance scaling. What is that? Does it so more damage when close up like you are in video?

I'm level 70 at the moment using another build for leveling, can I switch to yours with rare and cheaper items? later switch to exalted?

How much corruption do you think you can do with this build?
Hard to tell because of non-linear scaling, but i can't see it ever doing more than 1k comfortably.
